The Seeking Light Podcast is an incredible source of hope and inspiration for those seeking spiritual guidance and upliftment. Hosted by Beth, this podcast delves into the scriptures and shares personal experiences to teach principles and doctrine from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What sets this podcast apart is the interviews with guests who share their true stories, showing how God is actively working in the lives of His children in today's world. Each week, I eagerly anticipate a new episode because I know it will provide me with renewed faith and insight.

One of the best aspects of The Seeking Light Podcast is Beth's ability to seamlessly integrate quotes from general authorities, scripture verses, and personal anecdotes to convey her message effectively. Her teachings are clear, concise, and delivered with pure intent and charity. Beth truly gives her all in every episode, sharing her heart and insights while also genuinely connecting with her guests' stories. Her elegance in speaking is apparent as she gracefully imparts wisdom and encouragement.

The power lies in the stories shared on this podcast. Ordinary people recount their experiences, demonstrating how they have brought more light into their lives through faith and trust in God. These stories serve as a reminder that God is present and active in our lives if we are willing to recognize His hand at work. The genuine nature of these accounts makes them relatable, allowing listeners to find solace, hope, and practical guidance from others who have walked similar paths.

While it may be challenging to find any negatives about The Seeking Light Podcast, one aspect that could be improved upon is diversifying the range of topics discussed. While the focus on spiritual insights is commendable, exploring different areas or aspects within spirituality could attract a wider audience. Additionally, incorporating perspectives from individuals outside of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints may offer different viewpoints that can enrich the discussions further.

In conclusion, The Seeking Light Podcast is an exceptional podcast that spreads hope and light in a world often shrouded in darkness. Beth's diligent efforts and genuine desire to provide encouragement and spiritual insights are evident in every episode. This podcast serves as a source of inspiration, helping listeners find solace, faith, and connection with God. I am grateful for Beth's profound impact and eagerly anticipate each new episode, knowing it will bring the much-needed light into my life.

After 3 1/2 years of recording my podcast, it is time to close the chapter of this book in my life and opened another chapter. With much thought and prayer I'm recording my final podcast today. There are so many things that I have learned from doing this podcast. I have met some incredible people and listen to their amazing stories. I have been able to record prompting and inspiration I received while reading the scriptures and living life through different experiences. Thank you so much for supporting me through this incredible journey! Moroni 9:6 “And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God.” Moroni 9: 25 My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto death; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and long-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your mind forever. 26 And may the grace of God the Father, whose throne is high in the heavens, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who sitteth on the right hand of his power, until all things shall become subject unto him, be, and abide with you forever. You can change anything you want to change, and you can do it very fast. Another satanic sucker punch is that it takes years and years and eons and eons to repent. That's just not true. It takes exactly as long to repent as it takes you to say, ‘Ill change' and mean it. Of course, there will be problems to work out and restitutions to make…but change, growth, renewal , and repentance can come to you as instantaneously as for Alma.” Elder Jeffrey R. Holland  |  For Times of Trouble “We can change our behavior. Our very desires can change. How? There is only one way. True change—permanent change—can come only through the healing, cleansing, and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He loves you—each of you! With our desires to live a good life, obey God and follow the Savior, we need to be sure to be like Jacob and be NOT BE SHAKEN by his deceits and false words. Jacob 7: 1 And now it came to pass after some years had passed away, there came a man among the people of Nephi, whose name was Sherem. 2 And it came to pass that he began to preach among the people, and to declare unto them that there should be no Christ. And he preached many things which were flattering unto the people; and this he did that he might overthrow the doctrine of Christ. 3 And he labored diligently that he might lead away the hearts of the people, insomuch that he did lead away many hearts; and he knowing that I, Jacob, had faith in Christ who should come, he sought much opportunity that he might come unto me. 4 And he was learned, that he had a perfect knowledge of the language of the people; wherefore, he could use much flattery, and much power of speech, according to the power of the devil. 5 And he had hope to shake me from the faith, notwithstanding the many revelations and the many things which I had seen concerning these things; for I truly had seen angels, and they had ministered unto me. And also, I had heard the voice of the Lord speaking unto me in very word, from time to time; wherefore, I could not be shaken.

At 15, 16, one night while I was laying in bed, I read Alma 38 which showed me how much Heavenly Father was aware of me and my life. He knows us all and wants to remind us that he is always close by and aware of our needs and desires. Alma 38: 2 And now, my son, I trust that I shall have great joy in you, because of your steadiness and your faithfulness unto God; for as you have commenced in your youth to look to the Lord your God, even so I hope that you will continue in keeping his commandments; for blessed is he that endureth to the end. 3 I say unto you, my son, that I have had great joy in thee already, because of thy faithfulness and thy diligence, and thy patience and thy long-suffering among the people of the Zoramites. 5 And now my son, Shiblon, I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your trust in God even so much ye shall be delivered out of your trials, and your troubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day. bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com

Surely I must do something then?” Love them. “Wayward?” The answer is the same. Be kind. Love them. Why? Everything to do with becoming more like the Savior is difficult. For example, when God wanted to give the Ten Commandments to Moses, where did He tell Moses to go? Up on top of a mountain, on the top of Mount Sinai. So Moses had to walk all the way up to the top of that mountain to get the Ten Commandments. Now, Heavenly Father could have said, ‘Moses, you start there, and I'll start here, and I'll meet you halfway.' No, the Lord loves effort, because effort brings rewards that can't come without it. For example, did you ever take piano lessons?” Children: “Yes.” Pearl: “I take violin.” President Nelson: “And do you practice?” Children: “Yes.” President Nelson: “What happens if you don't practice?” Pearl: “You forget.” President Nelson: “Yes, you don't progress, do you? So the answer is yes, Pearl. It takes effort, a lot of hard work, a lot of study, and there's never an end. That's good! That's good, because we're always progressing. This family was living in a world of wickedness, but the Lord promised them that if they would follow Him, He would lead them to safety. Along the way they had good moments and bad moments, great blessings and miracles, but they also had arguments and contention. Rarely in scripture is there such a detailed account of a family trying to live the gospel: parents struggling to inspire faith in their family and worrying about their safety, children deciding if they will believe their parents, and brothers dealing with jealousy and contention—and sometimes forgiving each other. Overall, there is power in this imperfect family's examples of faith." Join me today as I share this analogy. “In our extremely contentious world, how can unity be achieved, especially in the Church, where we are to have “one Lord, one faith, one baptism”? Paul gives us the key: “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ.” We are too diverse and at times too discordant to be able to come together as one on any other basis or under any other name. Only in Jesus Christ can we truly become one. Becoming one in Christ happens one by one—we each begin with ourselves. We are dual beings of flesh and spirit and are sometimes at war within ourselves.” One in Christ, D. Todd Christofferson, 2023 bethnewellcoaching.com bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com

Thank you for supporting me with my podcast. This is my 300th episode! Can you believe it? I'm so grateful I have this platform to share my thoughts and feelings. This podcast episode comes from an experience I had during the Thanksgiving week. Many times I think about the women and children of this world and my heart sinks. I feel like there is so much wickedness and evil taking place and I want to be a voice and person for good against the evil of this world. I was feeling heavy and downtrodden and having conversations with my husband and family members. After a few days of a heavy heart, I opened my scriptures one night before I went to sleep and read Alma chapter 58. This chapter spoke peace to my soul. it comforted me and reassured me that God is completely aware of my little concerns in a small town in Oregon. He is aware of all of us. He wants to comfort and guide each of us in our lives. The scriptures have always been a place of refuge for me, and this podcast was born from the feelings and impressions I've had from the scriptures and other spiritual experiences through the years. Elder Cecil O. Samuelson, said: “Some seem to believe that faith and questions are antithetical. Such could not be further from the truth. The Restoration itself was unfolded by the proper and necessary melding of both. The Prophet Joseph Smith had both faith and questions. Indeed, the passage of scripture that led Joseph to the Sacred Grove experience includes both a question and the promise of an answer based on the asker's faith.” As President Russell M. Nelson has reminded us: “Take your questions to the Lord and to other faithful sources. Study with the desire to believe rather than with the hope that you can find a flaw in the fabric of a prophet's life or a discrepancy in the scriptures. Stop increasing your doubts by rehearsing them with other doubters. Allow the Lord to lead you on your journey of spiritual discovery.” Today, I interview Richard Haynes. He shares his journey of having questions about church history and exercising his faith to choose to stay. Richard grew up in Raymond, Alberta Canada. A small community in southern Canada. He came from a family of hard-working parents. His father was skilled at many things and his mother stayed home and raise the children. Richard always had a firm testimony and loved the gospel. He chose to be obedient and desired truth as he grew. When he was 19 years old, he served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas Nevada. Right before he returned home from his mission he had an experience of feeling that his testimony was unshakable. Then one day, a few months before heading home, while out with his companion, they were invited in a home. They sat down and visited with a man that was very charismatic, well spoken and had a way with his words. This man said things to the missionaries that caused the spirit to be driven away. Richard said a quiet prayer to himself and chose to bear his testimony of Jesus Christ. Immediately the spirit returned, and the elders dismissed themselves from the conversation. Years passed and a close friend shared his feelings about questioning if the church was true with Richard. Things were changing for his good friend. Richard decided to understand, read and learn more of his friends experiences. Join me today as Richard shares his journey of becoming whole and choosing to stay in the gospel and be a disciple of Jesus Christ. bethnewellcoaching.com bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com
