The skies began to open up once more as the darkness began to shrink and fade away. It left behind a clear day, one in which they could gaze out upon the landscape which had been concealed and hidden beneath fog and despair for far too long. The meadows were green once more, the radiance of the sunlight illuminating their emerald glaze with vigour and elegance. There was something restorative about it all – as if some sort of strange magic had been cast to herald in the dawn of a new day in all its grace and might. Wandering through the tall reeds, she watched as she took in a world which had been barren for far too long. Mysterious duo Advent Children are remixed by another as Salamanda reimagine the sound of ‘Restoration Meadows' creating an ethereal dreamy soundscape which offers promise for the birth of a new enlightened world.

In this episode I brought back Prince Rose, as is a resident Final Fantasy expert, who I felt would be able to tackle the subject of the Whispers found in Remake and Rebirth. As the Whispers of the planet represent the Status Quo, to make sure both the good and bad repeat itself. Very much like Transgenerational Trauma, something I think we are all too familiar with. However, to fight generational trauma means to change our outcomes, means to "change ourselves" like Aerith said. Hope you all enjoy this conversation.EPISODE CREDITS: Intro and Outro music produced by Namai 畝ド果 Namai 畝ド果 Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/namaibeats Namai 畝ド果 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNtb0gbf6MdjeQJuNgsDlMg

A controversial continuation of a beloved game, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has been summoned for today's podcast episode. Two years after Meteorfall destroyed Midgar, Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart have built a new life in the city of Edge. Humanity faces a new crisis in the form of geostigma, a dangerous disease seemingly carried by the Lifestream itself. Burdened by this illness and his own grief, Cloud has become distant from his friends. A trio of silver-haired youths arrive at Edge in search of their lost "mother." Our heroes quickly deduce that this so-called Reunion will lead to the resurrection of the villainous Sephiroth. AVALANCHE must return to battle in order to stop this apocalyptical plot, while Cloud will have to find the resolve to face his nemesis once again. Things are...much more complicated than this simple blurb can convey. We can't promise that everything will make sense on today's installment of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, but everything will definitely look (or sound) cool! It has been two years since Cloud and the gang defeated Sephiroth and saved their world from destruction. With Shinra out of the picture, the citizens of Midgard are trying to discover their new normal life. This would be a lot easier if a new disease, Geo Stigma, could be healed. Cloud Strife has once again secluded himself away, as he wants to protect his friends from the virus. This, however, gets him pulled into a new battle. A battle, in which, Sephiroth might be resurrected if he fails. Can Cloud keep Sephiroth from returning, or will the world be subject to possible ruin?
