Fred's guests this week bring more than just the music. These are musicians with college degrees as well as outstanding credibility on the performing side of the music profession. Andy Bassford is one of very few non Jamaican performers to have received an award from the Jamaica Federation Of Musicians. Eugene Grey, born-a-yard, graduated from CUNY Lehman College with a Bachelors degree in musical composition. Both have new music that pays homage to Jamaican greats.  

Andy Bassford, an American guitarist, spent many tears in Jamaica not learning to play the guitar, but to play Reggae music. He has played with most if not all of the top stars of current times and won grammies doing so. Currently a member of Monty Alexander's group, he's touring the world in good company. As usual we have Jay Sharpe with the ever populay and helpfull "From Grief To Gratitude" Host Freddie Campbell looks forward to having callers from all parts of the world..

Although we are the ones buying the gifts for the kids, I never stop being amazed at the look on a kid's face when he opens a present.That's how Mary and Joseph must have felt when they first saw Jesus. A present from God. Tonight we have a remarkable guitarist, whose career is in full bloom. Andy Bassford might as well be Jamaican because of his association with a lot of the top names in Ska, Reggae and Jazz and to prove my point, he even received an award from the Jamaica Federation of Musicians. We also look forward to hearing  more words of guidance from Ms.Jay Sharpe on her topc, From Grief to Gratitude.
