Happy Holy Week! The team at Storytellers Live is praying blessings over you this week as you celebrate our risen Savior, Jesus Christ. And, wow, do we have the perfect story to get your mind focused on the good news of Sunday?   Oftentimes, when life is not going as planned and our prayers aren't being answered the way we want them to be, we are left questioning God and His ways. But, as today's storyteller reminds us, our God is purposeful in the pain and the messy middle is where His best work takes place.     Anna Thompson, from our Memphis, Tennessee community group, shares her story of walking through the confusion, heartbreak, and anger she experienced when she desperately wanted a second child and her life's picture was not developing as planned.  Anna's words are going to inspire you to rest in knowing that even in the midst of unanswered prayers God is weaving together a beautiful tapestry of His love, goodness, and grace.    IN THIS EPISODE YOU WILL LEARN:   * God is faithful even if the answer to your prayer is no.  * The Lord and His love will sustain you no matter the circumstances. (Romans 8:38-39) * Only in Heaven will you see the top side of the tapestry that God is weaving here on earth.   “My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”  Psalm 63:8 Links:   Anna's book- The One and Only You   The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom   Give to StoryTellers Live in honor of Anna and our past storytellers    Become a Patreon Insider to access bonus content~ including a “Continue the Conversation” of Anna's story and Easter traditions with Robyn, Katie, and Lindy.    We want to hear from you! The Crow | Brandon Lee | Ernie Hudson | Michael Wincott | Alex Proyas | [1994] The Crow is a 1994 American supernatural dark fantasy directed by Alex Proyas and written by David J. Schow and John Shirley. It stars Brandon Lee in his final film appearance as Eric Draven, a murdered musician who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his fiancee. The film is based on James O'Barr's comic of the same name. Michael Wincott, Michael Massee, Ernie Hudson, James O'Barr, Tony Todd, Laurence Mason, Bai Ling, Anna Thompson, Rochelle Davis and Sodia Shinas were the supporting cast for The Crow. Production on The Crow was struck by tragedy when Lee was fatally wounded during filming. As Lee had finished most of his scenes before his death, the film was completed through script rewrites, a stunt double, and digital effects. The Crow is dedicated to Brandon Lee and his fiancee, Eliza Hutton. After Brandon Lee's death caused Paramount Pictures to opt-out of distributing the film, the rights were picked up by Miramax, who oversaw The Crow's completion. The Crow was released to positive reviews, with the Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus praising its tone, visuals, and Brandon Lee's performance. The Crow's success led to a media franchise that includes three sequels and a television series. The sequels, which featured different protagonists and none of the original cast members, would be unable to match the success of the first film, however. The Crow was a sleeper hit at the box office, it opened at number one in the United States in 1,573 theaters with $11,774,332 and averaging $7,485 per theater. Some industry sources believed that Miramax overstated the weekend gross by as much as $1 million. The Crow ultimately grossed $50,693,129 in the United States and Canada, and $43 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $93.7 million against its budget of $23 million. It ranked at number 24 for all films released in the US in 1994, the 24th highest-grossing film worldwide for 1994, and number 10 for R-rated films released that year. Overseas in Europe, the film grossed £1,245,403 in the United Kingdom (where it was 18-rated), and sold 4,604,115 tickets in France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. In South Korea, it sold 83,126 tickets in Seoul City. #TheCrow #BrandonLee #RIPBrandonLee #ErnieHudson #AlexProyas #DavidJSchow #JohnShirley #MichaelWincott #MichaelMassee #ErnieHudson #JamesOBarr #TonyTodd #LaurenceMason #BaiLing #AnnaThompson #RochelleDavis #SodiaShinas #TheCrow1994 #ParamountPictures #Miramax #CultClassic #MovieByte #MovieBytePodcast ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Us: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/moviebytepod... Welcome back to the show. I hope you're holding up ok. I'm also sharing some tips and resources on my Instagram feed and Stories so come over and follow me @emilyosmond and don't hesitate to reach out via message if you'd like me cover any questions you have. Today I'm bringing you a conversation that was recorded a couple of months ago, with Australian designer Anna Thompson of Anna Campbell. You have no doubt, whether you've realised or not, seen Anna's wedding dress designs on your Instagram feed, in magazines and worn by someone you know. Anna and I actually went to the same school, but in different years, but it wasn't until a few years later that we first properly met. I had not long started my business, and I was consulting to a venue for their marketing. We wanted to increase the brand's wedding bookings and so I contacted Anna's team to pitch an idea: for Anna to photograph her latest collection at the venue, and be the guest of an ‘in conversation' evening. To my delight she said yes, and I revelled in spending the day with this very down to earth, kind and humble soul. We've since reconnected and I knew Anna was someone who would bring so much insight to this show. Launching the Anna Campbell brand at the age of 19, as you'll hear in this conversation, there have been many evolutions and twists and turns. Today, with world wide stockists, dozens of accolades to her name and media features, it's the unwavering resilience that is truly at the essence of the Anna Campbell brand. I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to sit down with Anna in her Brunswick headquarters, with her team working away around us, to talk about all things creating Anna Campbell.
