Survivor Season 50 is officially in the books, and Aubrey walked away with a well-earned $2 million after one of the most entertaining finales the show has produced in years. Frick and Shirley go deep on every major moment: the Final Five dynamics, Aubrey's immunity run, the fire making challenge between Jonathan and Rizzo, a chaotic live show that accidentally spoiled its own results, and a jury that had already made up its minds before anyone said a word.Beyond the result itself, the conversation covers Cirie's Spirit of Survivor tribute, the return of the live finale format, Aubrey's secret weapon for the immunity challenge, what the "Open Era" means for the future of the show, and what Survivor 52 might look like. It's a full send on a landmark season.0:00 Aubrey Wins: Immediate Reactions and the Season in Review5:13 Final Five Camp Drama and Challenge Breakdown9:39 The New Era Becomes the Open Era: Survivor's Future17:30 Cirie's Standing Ovation and Spirit of Survivor Award19:24 The "Same Ocean" Immunity Challenge22:37 Fire Making, Jonathan vs. Rizzo, and Reversing the Curse29:30 Final Tribal Council: Jury Questions, Joe's Moment, and the Vote41:17 The Winner Is Crowned, Car Curse Broken, Sia Fan Vote44:16 Community Reactions, Season 51 Preview, and Closing ThoughtsAubrey's win was built on keeping her threat level intentionally low through the first half of the game, then making decisive moves when it counted. The jury's lines were essentially locked in before anyone made their case.Jonathan had the stronger physical resume but struggled to articulate his strategic game during Final Tribal. Repeating the same talking point cost him.Aubrey actually practiced the "Same Ocean" challenge using a version she bought on Etsy after anticipating the fan vote. That level of preparation was a major factor. The live finale format was a genuine hit, especially because the reunion elements were woven into the show rather than crammed into a rushed final hour. The accidental fire challenge spoiler made for one of the most memorable Jeff Probst moments in years.Cirie receiving the Spirit of Survivor award was a crowd favorite, even if the consensus was that a check would have been more appropriate for 20 years of moving the game.Season 50 brought in a wave of new fans, driven in part by the Mr. Beast crossover and wider cultural visibility. The show going into the "Open Era" for Season 51 and beyond opens the door for returning players, classic twists, and bigger production investment from CBS."She wanted to keep her threat level low, build these half alliances with a lot of players, play the middle, and then burst toward the end to make that resume move. And that absolutely worked.""There's something that happens in Final Tribal where that third person realizes: oh, I get it. You guys didn't actually want my answer. You're just having me solidify one of theirs.""Aubrey said she had panic attacks on day two, got to the final three, came back for a final five, played 137 days, took time off to work on herself, then came back for 50 and did everything to get to the end. That was the resume liner. She's been practicing that in the mirror for a long time.""She moves the game to where she wants it without anyone seeing it. The producers in the moment are seeing what we see at home all the time.""That was our final Survivor twist. That was such quick thinking. He came back from the break and just patched it right up."If you are watching Survivor 51 with us, make sure you subscribe so you never miss a recap episode. RuPaul's Drag Race Season 18 Eps 13+14 Recap Aman Adwin and guest host Matt Liguori break down the buzzy double-header of episodes 13 and 14. With surprises still fresh and the finale in sight, the duo dives into the shock elimination of Jane Don’t, shifting fan favorites, and the race to snatch the crown. Strategy, judging, and runway looks take center stage, along with questions about what “fairness” really means on RuPaul’s signature reality show. From discussing the unpredictable boot order to debating the wild Final Five acting challenge, Aman and Matt examine how the season's narrative takes shape when frontrunners falter. They touch on RuPaul's role in judging outcomes, the ups and downs of casting choices, and what the remaining queens bring to their high-stakes performances. The hosts also react live to the puppet mini-challenge flop, dissect the infamous Karen acting scenes, discuss standout (and confusing) runway moments, and preview the big Lip Sync Lalaparuza—all with a nod to Drag Race history and memorable eliminations. Jane Don't's one-shot bottom placement and sudden exit, sparking debate about consistency and competition fairness. The Final Five's “Karens Gone Wild” acting challenge and why it split opinions on skill, editing, and what RuPaul values. Riveting dialogue about whether track record or lip sync prowess should matter most at this stage of the game. In-depth dissection of stand-out runway looks—Mikey's celestial design, Darlene's irreverent spin, and Juicy's golden drag. Real talk about emotional exits, who's poised for the crown, and which queens might slay All Stars if not this season. With new front runners emerging and the legacy of eliminated queens still sparking conversation, who will rise above the chaos and capture RuPaul's approval in the final episodes? What would we do if we only had five days left? This powerful question cuts through every distraction and brings our priorities into sharp focus. Pastor Matt Cottrill on Sunday, March 29th 2026, draws from John 12:12-13 and the events of Palm Sunday, we're confronted with the reality that Jesus entered Jerusalem knowing exactly how much time He had remaining—just five days until the cross. While crowds celebrated with palm branches and shouts of 'Hosanna,' Jesus walked forward with intentional purpose, fully aware of what awaited Him. This message challenges us to examine how we're living right now, because whether through death or the rapture, our time is uncertain. James 4:14 reminds us that life is but a vapor, appearing for a moment and then vanishing away. The tragedy isn't just that we waste time—it's that we live as though tomorrow is guaranteed when eternity could interrupt this very moment. If we truly believed time was short, everything would change: our worship wouldn't be reserved, our obedience wouldn't be delayed, and our surrender wouldn't be partial. We wouldn't wait for convenient seasons like Felix did, trembling under conviction yet postponing his response. The call isn't for someday obedience—it's for right now. Today is the day the Lord has made, and it's our opportunity to repent, to be baptized in Jesus' name, to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and to live with eternity in view.

This week, on the first of the 'Final Five' episodes in our second lap around England's 39 historic counties, we're digging into the sacred ritual landscape of Wiltshire, and getting weird! We start off discussing St Pancras Day, including Pancras' martyrdom in 4th century Rome when he was a mere teenager, before his bones went on tour with St Augustine, all before we wander to Wiltshire in England's South West.On the history front, we discuss the astounding history of the ancient capital of Old Sarum, the moving of Salisbury Cathedral during the 13th century, two key Arthurian legends connected to the county, and more - all before Martin eschews some delicious-sounding Wiltshire delicacies before settling on a waistline-expanding option for this week's County Dish.Next, like many an antiquarian of yesteryear, we start digging into the county's folklore, chatting through the bonkers history of The Odstock Curse, Wiltshire's staggering depth of UFO/UAP phenomenon, a rather grim ghost story pertaining to Longleat house and estate, and so much more - all enhanced by some excerpts from Saturday's upcoming Local Legends interview with Emma Heard, the amazing human being behind Weird Wiltshire. Then it's on to the main event: Martin's telling of "The Old Creature" - a story which connects the 1906 excavation of Manton Round Barrow to missing fingers, sinister hauntings, and a wider array of unexplained, possibly cosmic paranormal phenomenon that continue to plague the county even now...We really hope you enjoy the episode, and will be back on Thursday with a new Magic and Medicine bonus episode about Alchemy, and our Patreon Exclusive episode for May 2025 about the history of Morris Dancing, all before the full interview with Emma comes out on Saturday! The Three Ravens is an English Myth and Folklore podcast hosted by award-winning writers Martin Vaux and Eleanor Conlon.Released on Mondays, each weekly episode focuses on one of England's 39 historic counties, exploring the history, folklore and traditions of the area, from ghosts and mermaids to mythical monsters, half-forgotten heroes, bloody legends, and much, much more. Then, and most importantly, the pair take turns to tell a new version of an ancient story from that county - all before discussing what that tale might mean, where it might have come from, and the truths it reveals about England's hidden past...Bonus Episodes are released on Thursdays plus Local Legends episodes on Saturdays - interviews with acclaimed authors, folklorists, podcasters and historians with unique perspectives on that week's county. With a range of exclusive content on Patreon, too, including audio ghost tours, the Three Ravens Newsletter, and monthly Three Ravens Film Club episodes about folk horror films from across the decades, why not join us around the campfire and listen in?Learn more at www.threeravenspodcast.com, join our Patreon at www.patreon.com/threeravenspodcast, and find links to our social media channels here: https://linktr.ee/threeravenspodcast Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. We have entitled this episode Three Tragedies, because these stories all involve the impacts of loss – be that the loss of an idea, the loss of a way of living, or the loss of a person whose absence has rippled across time ever since. They include our second-lap Devon story, Kitty Jay's Grave, our recent Essex story, The Rage of Boudica, and our rather sad ghost story from our Series 6 Leicestershire episode, Route 616 – so have a hanky ready if you're inclined to get weepy. We really hope you enjoy them, and we'll be back on Monday with our next County Episode all about the history and folklore of Wiltshire, which will be the first of 'The Final Five' episodes marking the end of our second lap all around England's 39 historic counties!
