It was a scary Halloween on Wall Street and we'll kick that story out first. Also a bit of something unique. While most kids in the U.S. Trick or Treat on Halloween that's not been the case here in Iowa for decades.  You see, back in 1938 some kids wandered around tipping over outhouses and so the decision was made to move trick or treating to "Beggars Night" which it the night BEFORE Halloween. (Like that might slow outhouse tipping.) Before Halloween 2017, I had the crazy idea to be an everything bagel with lox. Well of course, with the help of my girlfriend at the time, we got the supplies and made my costume DUH Then, as we all do, I posted a picture of me with my Jewish bagel costume on the IG the Following Day Amy Kritzer commented on my photo and reposted my post... this was my first time experiencing that well-known people were in communication with me. I reached out to Amy about my own blog and kippah company that I would like to create and she has been very helpful ever since. What really helped me out is that at minute 15 she mentioned that things change very quickly and she got to a point right before her book deal that she nearly went back to her corporate job... then the following week she got an offer! One key takeaway is to step away and then come back to work when things are not working, getting inspired by stepping out of your comfort zone and doing something different than you normally would. Your actions, consistency and dedication to FINISHING THE YEAR STRONG! So, how have you done with the challenge I put on all of you? [The "do one thing each day toward an unfinished goal"?] Are you being consistent? I realize even myself that it's hard to fit it all in! I missed one day and that was because I really wanted to get my Halloween decorations up BEFORE Halloween and, well and stop avoiding house cleaning that I despise! I heard from some people on many different things they were doing and the result of their action. Consistency is key, right?! You'll have to listen in to hear what they did as well as what has come from MY CONSISTENT ACTION on ALL THREE of my challenges! It's truly amazing to hear from people, not just because I know a couple people listened, but to see how people are growing personally and professionally. Whether it is for vengeance or to cover up illegal activities, it is going to be a long night for the closing Precinct 13 that none may survive. Before Halloween, before the Fog, before Escape from New York, before The Thing, John Carpenter made the low budget, action, thriller Assault On Precinct 13 (1976). A simple idea that was inspired by Romero's Night of the Living Dead as a faceless gang lays siege to a closing precinct. In 2005 based on a screenplay by James (The Purge) DeMonaco, Jean-Francois Richet would remake Carpenter's classic with an all-star cast including Ethan Hawke, Laurence Fishburne, Gabriel Byrne, Maria Bello, Drea de Matteo, John Leguizamo, Brian Dennehy, and rapper Ja Rule.
