On this podcast I talk with two talented female winemakers as we celebrated International Women's Day, recorded March 6th. My first guest will be Danielle Cyrot who has held enviable positions in her career, the last 12 years of which have been at CADE Estate Winery on Howell Mountain. Danielle is working with two interesting projects, the details of which we'll cover. Colleen FitzGerald is the enologist and a winemaker at Pine Ridge VIneyards in the Stags Leap District. She's been handed an intereresting wine wine project which led to a sparkling brand that is their first added label in 25 years. Has it been a challenge for these women to work in such a male dominated field? You may be surprised by their answers. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
To celebrate International Women's Day and Women's History Month I interviewed two talented female winemakers; Danielle Cyrot of CADE Estate Winery, and Colleen FitzGerald of Pine Ridge Vineyards.

March is International Women's Month. As we contemplated women working in the cannabis sector, the very first person we wanted to connect with was Shanel Lindsay, Founder & CEO of Ardent Cannabis. Ardent Cannabis is a Boston-based biotech and medical cannabis device company, most famous for developing a laboratory-grade precision decarboxylator for medical cannabis patients. The Ardent Nova (and now the FX) helps consumers perfect and refine the decarboxylation process to deliver consistent results every time. In the latest episode of the Cannabis Tech podcast, Lindsay shares her journey as the female founder of a cannabis company. She shares the challenges of navigating such an explosive sector with us and the opportunities for women in this space today. I love talking to Ashe! She's funny, smart, irreverent, and most of all, down to earth. I've been lucky enough to speak with her twice in the last 12 months and both conversations were so great, I decided to post a mega episode featuring both of them. The Beach Boys, One Up Ashe, rescue dogs, Billie Eilish, and my pitch to manage her are just some of the MANY things we discussed.

Celebrating International Women's Day - a Christian perspective with Mark Griesbach. Womenhood is to be honored and praised, not just today but everyday! Throughout the Bible, God uses women and their relationships as a type for God's relationship with us. How much does Jesus love you? Want to know the character of a man? Hear what Mark says is one way to find out. Also, hear how we should NUTURE each other along in life, building each other up. The marriage unity is like Christ is to the church. Enjoy.

Jessica is one of the few female sports reporters in the city, so it was only fitting to have her as a guest as International Women's Day approaches. International Women's Day is March 8 every year. What did you do to celebrate? My clients had women led panels, had a podcast or video discussions, Lunch & Learns, or invited me to speak. Yesterday, I spent the day with my clients at Caterpillar, Zoetis, my very own Women's Leadership Academy, and wrapped up with Indiana Society of Association Executives on "Bolstering Your Authentic Confidence," "Leading with Influence," "Asking for What You Want," and "Building a Winning Career Game Plan." Keep the conversation going beyond this one day. If you want to promote real positive change, keep the dialogue going. If you are a leader or want to be more of an ally, ask questions like: - What is it like to be like you? - How can I support you? - Where do you want to go with your career? Celebrate success. Keep it up. Be candid. Join us here for the next hot topic next week!

Today, 8th March 2019, we discuss the importance of IWD and this year's theme #balanceisbetter We discuss the true meaning of feminism, what balance (and equality) looks like in the modern world and why we need to make space in both the workplace and the home for gender equality. Do you feel, as a woman, you have to meet at least 90% of the job description before applying? Do you think the #metoo movement was a tipping point in the next wave of feminism? Watch for the coordinating blog post on the jewelry navigator site, and until next time, cross check your sparkle!

Boys are disciplined to present themselves as stoic, while girls are to portray themselves as emotional. Because of the association between emotionless and strength, and sensitivity and weakness, society often places men above women. Men are associated with strength, and women with weakness. And this has trickled down to the workforce. sports, schools, among other places. where girls and women alike are not as valued for their worth. It's changing, yes....slowly. In a show about women mentoring women, it is important to pay tribute to the women who came before us and paved the way to equality. The fight for equal representation in our workplaces and in our society still continues, but I am inspired by the words of Florence Nightingale, “I attribute my success to this - I never gave or took any excuse.” Today, let’s take a leaf out of Florence’s book and stop making excuses and start being the leaders we want to see change the world. March 8th is International Women’s Day, and the theme for 2018 is “Press for Progress.” I want to take a look together about how you can I can embody the press for progress together. What will it take to see women in corporate leadership roles? What about diversity within those women in leadership? Changes are happening, but they will only stick if we show up! I am excited to continue the conversation with you today in this episode! More in this episode: Let’s learn some life lessons from Florence Nightingale. How International Women’s Day came to be. You run your life! How progress happens. The surprise waiting for you in the next episode! Resources Internationalwomensday.com Connect with me! Elisahays.com
