Brett Ewing is the Founder and CEO of AXE.AI, a cutting-edge cybersecurity SaaS start-up, and the Chief Information Security Officer at 3DCloud. He has built a career in offensive cybersecurity, focusing on driving exponential improvement. Brett progressed from a Junior Penetration Tester to Chief Operating Officer at Strong Crypto, a provider of cybersecurity solutions. He brings over 15 years of experience in information technology, with the past six years focused on penetration testing, incident response, advanced persistent threat simulation, and business development. He holds degrees in secure systems administration and cybersecurity, and is currently completing a Masters in cybersecurity with a focus area in AI/ML security at the SANS Technology Institute. Brett also holds more than a dozen certifications in IT, coding, and security from the SANS Institute, CompTIA, AWS, and other industry vendors. In this episode… Penetration testing plays a vital role in cybersecurity, but the traditional manual process is often slow and resource-heavy. Traditional testing cycles can take weeks, creating gaps that leave organizations vulnerable to fast-moving threats. With growing interest in more efficient approaches, organizations are exploring new AI tools to automate tasks like tool configuration, project management, and data analysis. How can cybersecurity teams use AI to test environments faster without increasing risk? AXE.AI offers an AI-powered platform that supports ethical hackers and red teamers by automating key components of the penetration testing process. The platform reduces overhead by configuring tools, analyzing output, and building task lists during live engagements. This allows teams to complete high-quality tests in days instead of weeks. AXE.AI's approach supports complex environments, improves data visibility for testers, and scales efficiently across enterprise networks. The company emphasizes a human-centered approach and advocates for workforce education and training as a foundation for secure AI adoption. In today's episode of She Said Privacy/He Said Security, Jodi and Justin Daniels speak with Brett Ewing, Founder and CEO of AXE.AI, about leveraging AI for offensive cybersecurity. Brett explains how AXE.AI's platform enhances penetration testing and improves speed and coverage for large-scale networks. He also shares how AI is changing both attack and defense strategies, highlighting the risks posed by large language models (LLMs) and deepfakes, and explains why investing in continuous workforce training remains the most important cyber defense for companies today.

If the legacy food giants won't evolve, Mason Dixie will do it for them – one honest, skillet-cooked meal at a time. When Ayeshah Abuelhiga founded Mason Dixie Foods in 2014, she set out to deliver what people are truly hungry for: clean, craveable comfort food made without compromise. No preservatives. No shortcuts. Just real ingredients and real flavor. Today, Mason Dixie offers a growing lineup of frozen biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and fried chicken sandwiches – all made with fresh ingredients, real dairy, and no artificial ingredients, bleached flour or seed oils. The products are available in more than 6,000 stores across the country, including Whole Foods, Costco, Sprouts, Giant, Harris Teeter, and more. In this episode, Ayeshah shares how she's taking on the legacy CPG heavyweights by building a bold, next-generation frozen food brand. She dives into how Mason Dixie harnesses consumer insights, rigorous cost discipline and category whitespace to develop new products. She also breaks down how the brand is reshaping the definition of “natural” for modern shoppers, proving it's possible to scale with integrity, and lead with purpose, without ever compromising on what matters most. Show notes: 0:25: Ayeshah Abuelhiga, Founder & CEO, Mason Dixie Foods – Ayeshah and Ray chat about past conversations before the entrepreneur shares how operating outside traditional CPG hubs has allowed her Baltimore-based company to thrive with greater agility and efficiency, particularly in the wake of the pandemic. She reflects on Mason Dixie's buzzworthy Expo West appearance, where she dressed as Colonel Sanders to promote new products and offers a candid critique of the natural foods industry. The conversation delves into the brand's innovation strategy, including its expansion into sandwiches and burritos, and how the latter was developed to create a superior flavor and texture to existing products. Ayeshah explains how Mason Dixie benchmarks acceptable price points and only moves forward with products that can achieve cost efficiency through scale and criticizes large conglomerates like Tyson for their inefficient use of resources, while remaining open to partnerships that could help scale clean-label food. Beyond business, Ayeshah talks about how she finds purpose in the creative freedom of entrepreneurship and in mentoring underrepresented communities through nonprofit work. On The Clay Edwards Show, I sat down with former Mississippi House Speaker Philip Gunn, who shared a sharp anecdote about outmaneuvering Democratic tactics in the legislature. Philip explained how Democrats, frustrated during a recent special session ending May 29, 2025, invoked an 1894 constitutional rule to force word-for-word bill readings—essentially a filibuster to stall proceedings until 2 a.m. This was a protest, likely over budget priorities, as Democrats felt sidelined by Republican spending choices. Philip recounted how, during his tenure as Speaker from 2012 to 2024, Democrats often used this tactic to slow things down when they were in the minority. To counter it, he cranked up the speed on a computer program used to read bills, dubbed the “demon chipmunk” by critics, making the readings comically fast and incomprehensible. This sparked a 2016 lawsuit from Rep. Jay Hughes, D-Oxford, claiming it violated the Constitution's spirit, but the Mississippi Supreme Court ruled 7-2 in Philip's favor in 2017, citing legislative autonomy. He noted a 2013-2014 instance where a two-and-a-half-hour reading of a charter school bill backfired on Democrats, giving him time to rally absent Republicans for a winning vote. Broadcasting from Flora, I laughed with Philip over his clever workaround, highlighting his savvy leadership in navigating Mississippi's political trenches.

Got questions? Send Ericka a Text!Artificial intelligence has quietly revolutionized how dental insurance claims are processed, and most dental offices don't even realize it. Today we pull back the curtain on Novo Dynamics and their Novo Health Dental AI system that's scrutinizing your x-rays, documentation, and billing patterns before a human reviewer ever sees your claim. The game has changed dramatically. Insurance companies have trained AI systems to review claims using very specific criteria determined by their own dental consultants—not treating clinicians. These systems don't just look at individual claims but cross-check x-rays across multiple insurance carriers, analyze your practice's billing patterns, and compare you to other providers in your area. If your practice performs more crowns, SRPs, or implants than what AI considers "average," all your claims face increased scrutiny regardless of their legitimacy. This technological shift demands we evolve from merely submitting "clean claims" to creating "AI-proof claims." High-quality, clear x-rays that perfectly demonstrate necessity, concise standardized narratives, and meticulous documentation are no longer optional—they're essential. When AI improperly denies claims, request human review promptly. Document patterns of improper denials and report systematic issues to your insurance commissioner. The days of assuming a person will review your claim are over, but by understanding how these systems work, you can adapt your strategies to overcome these new barriers to reimbursement.Ready to level up your billing skills and connect with fellow dental billers? Join us for our upcoming live workshop in Dallas! Send "Dallas" in a direct message to @dental_billing_coach on Instagram for your chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the event. So you finally quit that toxic job, only to find yourself in another workplace filled with the same drama. What gives? Leadership expert Jennifer Selby Long explains why office politics follow you wherever you go—and how to stop them from running your career. In this two-part series, we tackle power dynamics, corporate chaos, and the real reason some people seem to climb the ladder effortlessly while others get stuck. If you're tired of feeling like a pawn in someone else's game, this episode is for you.Key Highlights of Our Interview:Finding Your Ally Among the Majority“In political environments, success hinges on securing a powerful ally. Aligning your interests with theirs and elevating them as a leader in your cause is essential if you plan to stay and thrive in such an environment.”When Conversations Clash, Progress Pauses“Business meetings often default to task-focused debates where differing perspectives turn into verbal standoffs. Rarely do teams pause to acknowledge the conflict and approach it constructively, missing opportunities to uncover deeper understanding.”No Permanent Friends, No Permanent Enemies—Just Interests“Drawing from the wisdom of Martin Luther King's attorney, Clarence Jones: the game of politics is about aligning interests, not forging everlasting alliances. Understanding this can shift how you approach your workplace dynamics.”Assumptions: The Silent Saboteur“Most conflicts arise not from genuine disagreement but from unchecked assumptions about others' motives or goals. Top performers may drive results, but their brilliance can threaten insecure leaders, creating a system where political tact outshines true talent.”The Right Culture for the Right Person“Some thrive in competitive political environments; others find them draining. The key is identifying whether your personal interests align with the culture around you. The fit matters more than fighting a system that may not suit you.”No Permanent Friends, No Permanent Enemies—Just Interests“Drawing from the wisdom of Martin Luther King's attorney, Clarence Jones: the game of politics is about aligning interests, not forging everlasting alliances. Africa is rewriting the rules of electric vehicles. While the West focuses on luxury EVs, African innovators are solving real-world problems. Take Ampersand in Rwanda—they've built electric motorcycles with battery swap stations, making EVs affordable and practical for millions. Or Jet Motors in Nigeria, producing durable, locally assembled electric SUVs and buses. These solutions aren't just for Africa—they're a blueprint for the future of global mobility. Join Summer as she discusses the darkness inside all of us and how to level up and overcome it. She shares why the darkness, the devil, is actually all of our unhealed trauma and how we can use it to deprogramme ourselves and create the life we deserve. KEY TAKEAWAYS Our behaviour is a mirror showing us what is driving us in our subconscious mind. The darkness inside us is our unhealed trauma from the grief we bury to our anxiety. This stops us from becoming the best version of ourselves. Procrastination is arrogance, believing we will be given more time to do the thing we already have been given the time for. It’s also losing us our growth, success and money. Stop believing people are lucky and start to recognise that people achieve because of the work they have put in. It is much more powerful to recognise this and turn it into a positive than to be envious and bitter. Fear is the biggest thing holding most people back, so most of the work is done by first tackling this. BEST MOMENTS “The darkness within us cannot hide” “It’s the same devil that holds us all back, the same unresolved work that shows up in us all” “The most successful people are just faster than the rest” “If we do the work, inevitably our time will come to win” “Fear is the greatest reason people won’t make it” HOST BIO I am Summer. A spiritual being having human experiences. From the age of 11 I have been obsessed with all things self- development; looking at it from every angle, in pursuit of finding answers for my life. Like all other humans I am figuring out. Along the way I have discovered knowledge and concepts that have changed my existence and helped navigate my youth. The process of learning and undoing, growing and evolving has lead me right here. The host of Inner wealth, where I bring together the most profound teachings I’ve learnt during my time here on earth; in hopes of making it a little easier for others to get to the same wisdom. Sharing the line of truth to living a prosperous life. The core of my purpose is to be of service to humanity.
