John Robertson is the Founder and President of FORTLOG Services. He is a Workforce Wellness Expert and a Culture Alignment Specialist with over 30 years of experience in crisis intervention. He talks about resolving root workplace causes of crises as opposed to treating crises. Host: Marie-Line Germain, Ph.D. Mixing: Kelly Minnis
While companies would prefer to operate “crisis free,” such a goal is usually unobtainable. The crisis could be small—a difficult employee who takes up significant time and energy and appears uncoachable—or a larger crisis—supply chain issues, recalls, active shooter situations. The question, however, that should be asked is whether managers in the organization have the skills and resources to decrease crises before they occur (in addition to respond fully and efficiently when they do occur). In this episode of HR Power Hour join host Tawny Alvarez while she discusses these issues and the tools that we can provide to managers to help them be more effective in crisis with John Robertson, workforce wellness expert and culture alignment specialist of FORTLOG Services, Inc.

Happiness means different things to each of us, yet, after doing extensive research, Management 3.0 founder Jurgen Appelo discovered a common thread: Happiness is something we create, it is not something to achieve. It is a path you choose, not a destination to arrive at. So many of us spend our time in pursuit of happiness, yet instead of searching for it we need to find ways to live it, embrace it and implement it into our daily lives.
