“Let out let in. Let go of all insecurity, uncertainty, doubt, fear, worry, money, relationships… Just be open to receiving anything different that's good.” —Benjamin John Committing to a life without limits begins with mastering the art of giving and receiving. By releasing the need for accolades or reciprocity, we open ourselves up to the true beauty of giving— the pure joy of positively impacting someone's life. Similarly, learning to receive without resistance helps us nurture our own self-worth while allowing others the gift of giving. In this episode, Daniel sits with Award-Winning Author, Speaker, and Coach, Benjamin John. Benjamin is all about inspiring entrepreneurs and individuals to stop worrying about outcomes and instead focus on meaningfully connecting with and helping other people experience the freedom that comes from true selflessness. This week's conversation centers around cultivating an attitude of abundance and empathy, where giving and receiving become acts of love rather than transactions. Tune in as Daniel and Benjamin discuss the power of letting go of relationships and seasons that no longer serve your highest purpose; how giving without expectation makes way for new growth; how to let go of insecurities, doubts, and worries completely; and how receiving with gratitude unleashes blessings. Give to others with no expectation in return. When we are sharing openly and encouraging openly, our oxytocin levels go up. And with that our levels of trust, inclusion, and acceptance go up. Couldn't we all use a little more of all of these?

Celebrated chanteuse, Julie Michels, stops by the Station and shares her upbeat Covid-era perspective while delighting us with stories from her fascinating life as a world-class jazz singer! Julie chats with J. Sean about a cornucopia of topics - from wanting to be an astronaut as a girl to being an AIDS-era counsellor in a hospital; from singing on a mountaintop with a First Nation shaman, to paying it forward for the lineup behind her at a highway tollbooth; and always the lesson circles back to giving compassion, giving kindness, and giving of oneself without expectation. Julie also shares how a terminal cancer diagnosis she received (and beat) as a 20-year-old majorly influenced her life perspective. Take in some of Julie's fabulous vocal stylings at www.juliemichels.com! Enjoy the chat!
Never Stop Peaking - Motivation for Your Creative Maniac Mind
Links from the show: Share Link: HeathArmstrong.com/41 Never Stop Peaking Minimalism Episode Sweet-Ass Affirmations Deck In this episode: Stacking Cash and "Things" Never Creates Long-term Happiness As media and marketing flood our brains with the idea that success is defined by how much we earn, many of us rate our happiness based on the materialistic belongings and cheddar-cheese we stack up. As soon as we receive something, we immediately start craving more. Why are we rarely content with what we already have? Having a desire for more is a great characteristic when it comes to creativity and developing the self, but it can be a terrible characteristic in relation to stacking cheddar cheese and possessions if our money and materials aren't in alignment with our purpose or hero's journey. If receiving and collecting isn't the answer to happiness, then what is? Giving and being of service. A Habit of Giving Creates Warm Fuzzy Feelings Forever When you give something to another person, whether material or in service, a physiological response happens within you. That warm fuzzy feeling you had as a free-range child running barefoot through the wild comes back and helps you make sexy-time with your happiness muscles. When giving without motive, your brain releases pleasure endorphins, including oxytocin, which is also released during sex and lowers your stress. Oxytocin makes you feel more connected to others, which is why people often pay forward random acts of kindness. Giving is a domino cycle of warm fuzzy feelings that increases the collective bond of the world. Ideas for Giving Gifts and Being of Service In this episode, I share a few stories of my transformation through gift-giving, as well as a bunch of ideas on how you can give gifts and be of service today, without expectation or motive. The Universe will always give you what you put into it, so don't think so much about what you are losing. Think about all the peace, serenity, creativity, and love you will be gaining.

Giving, when we give freely, without expectations and with abandon, we expand all areas of our life. When we give without any thought of something coming back magic happens. Our life is enriched by giving. Why do we give?
At the core, KPI Golf is built around the principle that golf courses serve as the epicenter of the communities in which they reside. The local living environment goes the way of your country club - jobs, recreation, real estate values, quality of life. This is a story of how we have chosen to model our company - giving without expectation of anything in return. I lost my wedding ring in the ocean this weekend. We were on a family trip to Southwest Florida. We were staying at a beachside rental in Englewood, just south of Sarasota. Our family is very close, and we always have a great time together, laughing and playing games. Well, the silly game that we came up with this time was volleyball...or a modification thereof. We basically all stood in a circle and tried to keep the ball going (we're terrible). After we were finished, as I was toweling off I realized that my wedding ring was gone. It feel off my finger in the middle of the ocean while we were playing. The story that ensues is a true representation of giving without any expectation whatsoever...and a ton of luck. Our friend John, who we met randomly on that beach modeled exactly how we have chosen to conduct our business. Intent matters and the outcome is always positive. Giving without the expectation to receive, imo, is the one of the most important lessons someone can learn in this life.
What does it look like to give without asking for anything in return? We might know people who can live this out, but it sure isn’t easy. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to live with generosity, humility, and faith. But how often we forget. We have a hard time giving without asking for anything in return and when we do give we find ourselves complaining about it. Not so for the woman in this story. Pastor Dara Schuller Hanson preaches on Mark 12:38-44 - originally recorded at the Good Shepherd Madison Campus on November 11, 2018

Kerrin Black is driven. An entrepreneur in the true sense of the word, she's here to help. She travels the world as a publicist, trying to get the best coverage possible for her clients. And she runs two charities which aim to help those who can't the high costs of pharmaceuticals get the medicine they need. As if that wasn't enough, she is also the founder of Talent Finders – a resource for artists looking for clients and vice versa. But her biggest skill is network building. She is ferocious at reaching out to people, connecting people, and giving back with no expectation of getting anything in return. And it is this letting go of the desire for success where true success lies. I was lucky enough to spend some time talking with Kerrin about how we should give shamelessly, be unafraid of making fools of ourselves, and how anyone who throws their hat in the arena should be celebrated, even if they fail. This episode of the podcast goes in a lot of different directions, but it's well worth a listen. Kerrin is all over the web. The B&E Podcast #057 "Giving Without Expectation w/ Marco Pasqua" Soundcloud Link: soundcloud.com/thebandepodcast SUMMARY OF THE PODCAST: We talk with entrepreneur and motivational speaker Marco Pasqua on being what it means to be authentic, offering value to others and the world, and how our mistakes and unexpected "setbacks" can be creatively used to open new pathways. Get ready to be inspired. POINT #1: "THE WORLD WANTS THE AUTHENTIC YOU" -People are tired and very in tune when others are being dishonest about who they are and their intentions. When we connect to our own sense of value and put that out in the world, people respond. POINT #2: "FOCUSING ON WHAT YOU GIVE MAKES EVERYTHING SIMPLE" -When you release yourself from the expectations of what you think should happen or want to happen, you take the pressure off of yourself to more freely and authentically put YOU out into the world. POINT #3: "OUR FAILURES ARE PERFECT" -We often beat ourselves up and get depressed when we make mistakes, but when we receive them for what they are and look at them creatively asking, "how is this perfect?" we begin to discover lessons to be learned and new ways forward.
