Join us as we discover Ryan's kryptonite this week as we get a case of the giggles while diving deep into Smallville Season 6 Episode 6: FALLOUT! Coming off our case of the giggles we have a wonderful conversation with the one and only GLEN WINTER… discussing the late great (and very dear to this series) Jeannot Szwarc, the difficulties of playing DP and Director, and his talents of herding kittens on set. After talking about the professionalism and joy of working with Bow Wow in this episode we lost it while discussing double hand blasts, Baern in the barn, and the art of wearing glasses as an actor. Thank you to our sponsors:
The Superhero Show Show #452Stargirl vs Infinity, Inc! It's the debut of Infinity, Inc on Stargirl, plus X-Men: The Animated Series and the Shushie for Best Supporting Actress! On an all-new, all-different episode of The Superhero Show Show, Stargirl takes center stage, and the Taste Buds discuss whether this works as an episode of Stargirl, or just as a backdoor pilot for an Infinity, Inc. show! Courtney and Jade have found Jade's brother, and he comes from a super orphanage! Will they be able to get out of there without a fight? Also, Pat and Shade are still stuck in the Shadowland, and they need to use Courtney as their guiding light to get out of there. How well do these plotlines work together? And how much are we looking forward to an Infinity, Inc. show? But before all of that, it's time for the prestigious Shushie Awards. This week, it's time for the award for Best Supporting Actress. Resident Alien has been a dominant force in the Shushies so far this season, and that show has several award-caliber supporting actresses. Does the domination continue tonight? Finally, the Taste Buds fly to X-TASmania to watch the final episode of season 4 (according to iMDB), Family Ties! Instead of Alex P. Keaton and his sister Mallory, we get Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch! Those two wacky mutants find out that the dying man they thought was their father was not their father at all, and of course the X-Men have to get mixed into the shenanigans! All of that, plus discussions on this week's Pennyworth and The Walking Dead! It's almost too much show! FEEDBACK From our last video on YouTube: Pfruit0916 I watched Arrow 150 and really enjoyed the documentary format, it was a fresh take on an episode. Plus, it was nice to see so many guest appearances, specifically Thea & Quentin. Also, the call back to Adam Hunt in s1 was great. The villain of the week was a throwaway but he gave us some great fight scenes. I like that they addressed the lack of bromance between Diggle and Oliver. It was nice to finally see a version of John Diggle I recognize. I hope they have a similar conversation between Diggle and Felicity because that friendship has been strained. Also, he really needs to tell olicity about Diaz. William's subplot, while not exactly fun to watch, actually made sense. He has been kidnapped, an explosion killed his mom, his dad went to prison and then his new mom was almost shot in front of him. That kid has a lot of issues. And while I understand that after the break-in during 7x08 and the Elseworlds craziness olicity probably thought it was best to not bring him home to that insanity, I also understand his resentment. There's more to the story since he was expelled. I'm inclined to believe they will be revealing his sexuality soon and that may be playing a part in his behavior. (Side note: They may not share blood but he really is a lot like felicity if he was able to create a fake school website. And I really appreciate them showing the friendship between William and Zoe that was mentioned in the flash forwards.) I found Mayor Pollard's turn around and acceptance of vigilantes abrupt. We keep being told by the flash forwards that vigilantism, led to the destruction of Star City. I feel that Pollard deciding to deputize the whole team is a set up for their downfall. Discord: StephenJondrew - I still suspect the flash forwards could be wiped out - perhaps it even leads to how the timeline is resolved. Like maybe an action they do in the future affects the past. Because I totally agree SP - I think that as they stand, it puts a damper on it. As someone said on twitter that I saw - they basically mean that all their hard work in the present "means jack poop" NEXT EPISODE Link to Promo: https://www.cbr.com/arrow-star-city-slayer-promo/ (Date: 5 Feb 2019) Episode: “Star City Slayer” [Season 7 Episode 13] Air Date: Monday, February 11, 2019 Summary: Oliver and Felicity are disappointed after they learn that William is hiding something from them.
