Welcome back to The Freaky Deaky! Tonight, we're stepping into the shadows of a topic that's haunted humanity for centuries—demonic possession. Not the Hollywood version with spinning heads and green pea soup, but the real, unsettling accounts whispered in church records, scribbled in diaries, and debated by priests, skeptics, and scholars alike. We're breaking it down into four stages: Infestation, Oppression, Obsession, and Possession. These aren't just spooky stories—they're a roadmap of how some believe a malevolent force creeps into a life, starting with whispers in the walls and ending with a battle for the body itself. First, there's Infestation—think unexplained knocks, foul stenches, a sense that something's watching. Then Oppression hits, grinding you down with exhaustion and nightmares. Obsession follows, hijacking your thoughts with darkness you can't shake. And finally, Possession—where the entity takes the wheel, turning your body into its puppet. We've got four true tales tonight, pulled from dusty archives and firsthand accounts. Are these demons real, or just the mind cracking under pressure? Can you really go from free to demon possessed in 4 easy steps? You decide. We'll see you on the inside… ----- TIME STAMPS: 0:00 - Demons, Amirite? 0:56 - Intro 2:15 - Strawberryyyyy 4:03 - Excerpt From Richard Gallagher of Demonic Foes 7:29 - STAGE 1: Infestation 9:47 - Southington Funeral Home Case 12:27 - The Bell Witch Haunting 14:23 - What Draws In Demonic Entities? 15:03 - Past Sins & Sins of the Father 18:23 - Identifying & Breaking Generational Curses 21:41 - STAGE 2: Oppression 23:13 - The Maria Talarico Case 25:03 - The Mary Langdon Case (1670's Massachusetts) 27:23 - How Does a Demon Choose It's Target? 28:23 - Can Believers Get Possessed? 29:53 - Scott Has Control Issues (Obviously though, right?) 33:23 - Spiritual Attacks & Warfare of the Mind 38:36 - Lackadaisical Is Much Ruder Than I Imagined 39:39 - STAGE 3: Obsession 40:23 - Do Unbelievers Suffer Spiritual Attacks? 41:28 - The Anna Ecklund Case 43:23 - St. Columba's Monastery Case 44:53 - Why Do Demon's Target The Mind 45:45 - STAGE 4: Possession 46:23 - The Case of Michael Taylor (Yorkshire, 1974) 47:27 - The Case of Jeanne des Anges (1630's France) 52:43 - "If There's Demons, There's Demons" 53:36 - Majority of The World Believes In Demons 54:54 - Scott's Not Catholic, But Appreciates Confession 56:03 - Accepting Forgiveness Is Difficult 57:23 - Keep Your "Religion is Bad, Blah Blah Blah" Comments to Yourself 60:03 - Next Week: Schizophrenia & The Supernatural (Episode 250) 61:30 - Gregorian Chant Outro _____________________________________________ +PRODUCERS: Eric Long, Daniel Heng, Anthony M, +BECOME A PRODUCER: http://bit.ly/3WZ3xTg +BUY A $9 SHOUT-OUT: https://holler.baby/thefreakydeaky The Twilight Zone meets Mystery Science Theatre 3000 meets an uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner conversation with your in-laws. Have you ever felt trapped by your past and present struggles? Does guilt from past sins or shame over current challenges weigh heavy on your heart? This week, Pastor Nick walks us through key biblical teachings that reveal our true identity in Christ and show us the path to spiritual freedom.**Key Takeaways**:1. **Freedom from Past Sins**: - Many of us are burdened by guilt over our past, but as believers in Jesus Christ, we are no longer slaves to those past mistakes. - Key Bible References: John 5, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:1, Philippians 3:132. **Freedom from Present Struggles**: - The difference between a non-believer and a believer is that a believer doesn't love their sin even though they may still struggle with it. - Key Bible References: Romans 8:1, Galatians 5:16-17, Philippians 2:123. **Embracing Your New Identity**: - In Christ, you are a new creation. Mother Miriam Live - March 10, 2023 Mother begins to explain the ins and outs of the Apostle's Creed and why it is so important When the Warning comes, will sins from the past continue to haunt us even if they've been confessed? Why did God create evil? Or did he? Does the battle between good and evil continue after death?
The most compelling apologetic for Jesus is not a well-turned phrase but a radically changed life. In Week 18 of our Book of Acts series, Pastor Josh McPherson guides us through the process God uses to sanctifies saints as demonstrated in the story of Saul of Tarsus becoming the Apostle Paul. Before God knocked him off his horse he was a well off, gritty, genius, work horse, who was a single, religious, zealous, wrong man who God radically redeemed and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through one simple act of obedience at a time. Thanks for listening! visit www.gracecitychurch.com for more content.

Romans 3:23 says "we all sin and fall short of the glory of God", this is very well known no matter how long one has been a christian. There is something else that can come from the realization of the fact that all have sinned. Adam and Eve experienced it in the garden, shame. Once sin has happened, there are a lot of people who experience shame and guilt. The questions that are often asked are, "How can I move on past sin?" "Should I feel guilt and shame?" " How can I be forgiven?". These questions are at the forefront of many people's thoughts. So what do we do with all of this? In this week's episode of Real Talk Christian Podcast, Marc Hyde and Chris Fuller discuss what the Bible says about sin, guilt, shame, and how to move past all of this in a biblical manner. How do we handle, being new women in Christ, the memories of our past sins? We're going to be in 1 Corinthians, Romans, and Ephesians. Does God justify us and then leave us with the weight of our painful memories - of our sinfulness - or does He have a different plan for our pasts? A plan that points right back to HIS GOODNESS? Let's chat.
