We react to a dramatic exit poll that the election campaign scarcely deserved, with big wins for D66, disappointment for PVV and CDA and devastation for GroenLinks and the SP. Can the coalition 'motorblok' go it alone or will they try to bring a fourth partner on board? And we look at the four new parties entering parliament - with the Farmers' Citizens' Movement bring bringing the total to a record 17.
Anna is our February athlete of the month. She talks about the recruiting process she went through as a college softball player, how she transitioned from full-time athlete to living her best life everyday, and how to approach people you meet. This is a great one!

Malachi 3:6-7. Ps Louis Baron closes our series on God's identity by looking at His unchanging nature. Here we consider 6 things about God, and His ways that never change. We can be assured that in God's unchanging character and ways, we have a solid basis upon which to build our Christian faith and our very lives.
Ephesians 1:3-14. Ps Hilary Williams continues our series on God's identity by looking at God's giving heart. If we could find one word to sum up God, generous would be high on the list. Sadly, we mistakenly believe that God is withholding from us, and that the cross - generous as that was - marks the end of His gifts to us. The truth is, God is always giving to us, over and over and over again. In experiencing God's abundant generosity, we are challenged to likewise live generously.
Christmas: Untangling Jesus Pastor Gilbert Foster John 1:1-2
Romans 6:15-18. Andrew Mihaleff continues our series on God's identity by looking at the righteousness of God. This area of God's character poses challenges for us - not the least of which being what this says about us. We also fail to recognise that each of us is in the default state of slavery to sin. But thanks be to God - He as offered us liberty and the opportunity to be servants to someone and something far greater.
Pastor Gilbert Foster Where are You God? Luke 1:30-33
Luke 1:67-79. Ps Hilary Williams continues our series on the identity of God but looking at how He is committed to us. Faithfulness, loyalty and commitment are scarce values in today's world - these are becoming increasingly uncommon, and as a result, life feels more unstable and uncertain. The good news for us is that we serve a heavenly Father that is utterly committed to us, to our good, and can be trusted to walk with us faithfully.
Ps Louis Baron continues our series on God's identity by looking at His grace. God's grace is a double-edged sword - we must first realise our utter helplessness and desperate need for a saviour. We recognise that no amount of human endeavour, social justice; the very best man has to offer cannot help us reach God. It is this revelation that makes grace - God's totally unmerited favour towards us - taste all the sweeter! Given to us through Christ, it is His grace that opens the door to knowing the God our souls are looking for.
Psalm 91:1-4. Anoj Joseph continues our series on God's identity by looking at Him being our refuge and shelter. Many of us feel that deep longing and desire for place of rest and shelter, no longer running from the storms of this life. In this psalm, we see that God Himself promises to be our refuge - our blanket of safety and protection. He invites us to come into His presence through Christ, and experience true refuge in Him
Ps Hilary Williams continues our series on God's identity, by considering God's feelings. In this conversation with Jeff and Sara Gunawan, we ponder this truth together - as we explore some of the things God feels, and what causes those feelings. We also consider the implications of this truth to us, and how we should live in light of our gracious God's capacity to celebrate, and to mourn with His people.
Nov. 08 , 2020: The Rev. Ginny Hege Tobiassen, pastor. Gospel lesson: John 10: 1-10.
Psalm 139. Ps Hilary Williams continues our series on God's identity by considering His omnipresence. Through this well-known psalm, we see that we cannot escape God's all-pervasive presence. He is the only One who can and always will be there with us. Knowing this, we see that the perfect antidote for our fears, is the peaceful presence of God.
R. C. Sproul said that our greatest need is to "discover the true identity of God." Ps Louis Baron opens our new series by considering God being all-knowing. If God is omniscient, there is no detail in the universe - nor in our lives - that has escaped his attention. This should give us great comfort in committing our ways to a God who not only knows us far better than we know ourselves, but remains committed to our good.
Pastor Gilbert Foster Genesis 1:26-27 Luke 19:1-10
It is time this very minute, and we are living in it. Time to set our timers and pray for the minute. This podcast encourages us to stop for a minute and, now, in the presence of our Heavenly Father—with praise and prayer—worship Him in Jesus' name and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
40 Days of Prayer - Part 2: Knowing the God You're Talking To October 11, 2020 I am told that when “The Wizard of Oz” hit the big screen in 1939 it was thought to be a visual masterpiece. Not only were the visuals great, it also had many memorable lines in it, such as “We’re not in Kansas anymore”! I think we can all relate to that right now. Another great line from the movie is “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” It comes from the lips of The Great and Powerful OZ, who deeply desires to be unseen and remain unknown, but gets outed by Toto who pulls back the curtain. In Matthew 6:6, Jesus said, “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Unlike the character in the movie, our GOD wants to be known. Though HE is currently “unseen”, GOD, our FATHER, greatly desires for us to know HIM in prayer. The Big Question for this Sunday is, do I really know who I’m talking to when I pray? ~ Pastor Joe Still

Most Christians are familiar with the "last supper". But did you know there was a "last breakfast"? A few weeks after his resurrection Jesus makes a third appearance to the disciples and once again he serves them food. These men are from very different backgrounds and yet they are bound together because of their association with Jesus. The church is to be the same today. Our view of Jesus is incomplete if it is not seen through the lives of other believers who are not like us. The church is a diverse family yet we are unified in the gospel truth that Jesus came to save sinners - all of us!During this breakfast the heart of Jesus is revealed through his interaction with Peter. Thomas developed the nickname, "doubting Thomas" but remember Peter could have just as easily been, "denying Peter". Yet Jesus is gracious, kind and always forgiving those who draw near to him. Do you struggle to be forgiven? Do you think you are too far removed from the outstretched arm of God? You're not. In fact, Jesus not only wants to restore you he wants to entrust ministry to you. Consider this: Peter is the one who preaches a sermon that gives birth to the church. Yes my friends, there is hope for me and you!

Here we find Joshua praying, concerned for the task ahead of Him, Moses is dead and all the responsibility for the millions of Jews falls on His sholders to care for, lead, and protect and govern. Joshua has battles with enemies that are soon to take place and so he goes off to pray...Joshua asked Commander of the angel of the Lord, friend or foe - NO! - in otherwords, you got it wrong...turn it around, look at it from Gods view...HE DOESNT pick sides, WE MUST - how dare we ask God to line up with us - We MUST line up with HIM - even When God has repeatedly said to us to Go, Your the one I want doing this, Still there is a certain amount of uncertainty, we hear it on the flip side of how Often God had to tell Joshua BE NOT AFRAID - He must have been terrified. And Even though God may have laid his hand on us and put us in charge of something, When we ask, So God you’re on my side right,- HIS answer is NO - YOU Better get in Line and follow behind ME! - Even when we are commissioned by GOD Himself to a task, we are not to go forward assuming that everything in OUR heart is approved...It always needs to be kept in Line with HIM...
