About Larry Mohl and Rali: Change has been my constant companion. Energizing, frustrating, destabilizing, and inspiring change. After my first 10 years of working as an engineer I hit a wall. By all accounts I was successful, but I couldn't imagine having my boss's job, and could no longer just work wishing for the weekend to come sooner. Something had to change, and it was me. Over the next 20 years of corporate life I transformed my career from engineer to Chief Learning Officer and change leader. I learned a lot about personal change and how companies empower or destroy change. Reflecting back on my journey, I feel I was lucky. For many years I was in a company that made being an Intrapreneur possible. It was by no means easy, but if you had an idea and put yourself out there, the organization responded with opportunity. Like many, I know the opposite environment all too well. The thing is, if we want people to initiate and embrace change, what the organization does really matters. The change hero story is myth. Large scale change is messy and more times than not initiatives fail to achieve their expected outcomes. My take is that we just don't do enough to engage the whole organization in a way that gives people a voice, guides them, and lifts them up. We can do better. In short, we need to change how we change. So, with my teammates at Rali, the company I founded I'm on a mission. To help leaders and their teams grow through times of change. To democratize the intersection of development and change so that what is normally done for a few is effectively scaled to the many. To improve the success rate of change initiatives that truly matter to organizations through a human-centered, community-based approach. To move from "spraying and praying" content to a holistic approach that activates the drivers of mindset and behavior change. To align the interests of senior leaders looking for business impact and employees looking for an engaging and inclusive experience. To fulfill our mission we offer a "Change Experience Platform" that connects industry change agents to leaders and teams though a community-centric portal with access to structured Learn|Do|Inspire journeys and interactive media. Our advanced analytics provides insights into change progress, adoption, engagement, and sentiment. Rali Solutions, LLC located in Alpharetta, GA, empowers measurable, scalable, and lasting change that drives performance improvement through teams across the organization. Rali helps ensure successful outcomes by uniting technology, behavioral science, and change management best practices into a first of its kind Change Experience Platform (CxP). Rali enables organizations to drive interactive communications, launch group-based change journeys using Rali's unique Learn , Do , Inspire framework. Rali can take any body of content and deliver an environment that activates all the drivers of engagement, behavioral adoption, and organization impact. Whether it's groups of 50 or 50,000, Rali creates a highly interactive experience that scales content and activates behavior change, ultimately shaping the culture of your organization. Rali goes beyond what other learning solutions offer by delivering a unified, community-driven experience designed to transform behaviors and accelerate change. Our proprietary methodology of “Learn | Do | Inspire” creates a powerful performance improvement loop and makes a lasting impact.

How does MedTech be part of the Win, Win, Win with providers, payers and patients as hospital systems move toward Value Based Care models? The challenge of crossing the chasm between Fee For Service and Value Based Care intrigued Wael Barsoum, MD. He wanted to play a more significant role in finding solutions to this challenge. He started his career as an orthopedic surgeon. With the guidance of mentors like Joseph Iannotti, MD, PhD (currently Chief of Staff, Cleveland Clinic); Joe Hahn, MD (retired Chief of Staff, Cleveland Clinic); Marc Harrison, MD (now President & CEO Intermountain Health) and others he became an operational leader at the Cleveland Clinic. He ultimately became the President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. He “retired” from the Cleveland Clinic and became the President and Chief Transformation officer at Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company…also known as HOPCo. We dig into Wael's very interesting career, HOPCo's 3 verticals, Value-Based Care, how MedTech companies can be part of the win-win-win, Stryker as an example of a company with the right culture, who is MedTech's real customer and more. There is a lot of great guidance in this episode. Now Go Win Your Week! In today's episode, I chat with Kandi Gongora, Chief Transformation & People Officer at Goodway Group, a NYC-based full-service data-driven digital marketing solutions partner. In the 2+ years I've known Kandi, from our time together in HackingHR, to her participation at the Global HR Summit - the world's largest enterprise virtual reality conference - Kandi has always had a passion for learning, behavioural science & innovation. Each are foundational elements of successful transformations. Together we tackled a lot of fun topics; beginning with her professional journey; how she stitches together experiences in operations, technology & HR to enable transformation at a rapidly-growing digital marketing organization. We discuss her firm's use of virtual reality. Pioneered at the Global HR Summit in 2020 - still, amazingly, over a year later, the largest enterprise business conference ever presented in virtual reality - where Kandi was one of our 60 speakers; participating via VR headset as a panellist from her home just outside of Dallas, Texas, to an audience of over 800; nearly half of which were also in VR headsets. Truly remarkable.Today, Kandi is piloting the use of virtual reality in her own organization; purchasing over 400 VR headsets - one for each employee at the Goodway group - to enable activities ranging from team huddles, brainstorm sessions & recently, their first organization-wide meeting. New employees now receive one in their hiring packages. Though traditional business metrics fall short in quantifying the returns from these investments. Employee Lifetime Value provides a framework to have these discussions. And it's an idea I wanted Kandi's feedback on. As always, we had a lot of fun. And I hope you enjoy it. Kandi Gongora Kandi Gongora is the Vice President of People and Organizational Excellence at Goodway Group, where she leads people experience, rev operations, strategic and organizational development functions. Kandi's passion for learning, behavioural science, holistic well-being and business has led her on a non-traditional career path into “HR”. With over 20 years of experience, she has held various leadership positions including Director of Organizational Excellence at Park Place Dealerships, where she led the large luxury automobile group to become the recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige Award, and Quality Systems Manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises. A transformation is a far-reaching process, with an unknown end. It is not limited in time but rather to be understood as continuous change. Today, after decades of research and practice, transformations are still struggling. It is nothing new to say the involvement of affected employees being a very important factor. Yet, two major reasons why transformations fail are resistance of the people and lack of leadership commitment.
