Praying doubting that God will give us what we ask for is a good indicator that we are not praying properly. We need to pray trusting in God 1000%. How will God grant it to us when we doubt Him. We pray with complete faith when implicit in our prayer is the disposition of accepting whatever God grants us.

Smith, Jr. from Little Rock, Arkansas.Bishop Smith, who is one of America's most frank, articulate, and knowledgeable Christian pastors, explained that our nation is in truly serious trouble because so many people have not only drifted away from Christ, but also have not displayed the commonsense needed to realize that our country is run by men and women who worship Satan and have no interest in the lives and well-being of American citizens.Christianity has always been focused, the Bishop said, on building strong communities not only to preserve the faith and obey Jesus, but to defend itself from attacks by those who are manifestly evil. In today's world, he said, “community is built for Immunity” from such travesties as poison vaccines, wokeism, sexual depravity, arbitrary violence, the sexual abuse of children, and the other forms of devilish activities that prove the godlessness and hate-filled natures of the enemies of Christ. Many in the clergy, too, have been weak in their responses to the evil that has been foisted on America since January, 2021.The most grievous example of this failure, was the closure of so many churches because of the government's demand that they be shutdown. Now that Americans know that the illness was created and spread by the U.S. government and that its vaccine killed millions of Americans, there can be no Godly reason for closing the churches again. Bishop Smith urged his coreligionists, his fellow clerics, and all citizens to never again obey the directions from a government intent on killing as many Americans as possible, and their country as well.Finally, Bishop said that we are in situation where unceasing prayer – accompanied by a true belief in its “constant power” -- is required from all Christians, with some prayers especially directed to asking the Lord to protect the country's “one good man” – Donald Trump. Beware of false doctrine. Some churches in Austin and America are referring to God as “mother” or telling people you have to do certain tasks to earn your way to heaven (prayer rugs, beads, rosaries, chants, caffeine, have enough faith to be blessed, missions, etc). Do not fall for these schemes of the devil.

We continue in our summer sermon series through Ephesians by looking at chapter 4 this week. We see that in discerning spiritual gifts that God has given us, we need to consider our affinity, ability, and the affirmation from others. Our gifts are the means in which we share the gospel. Because we have been changed through the gospel, we live with renewed minds, hearts, and souls for Christ. Charles Stanley puts it this way – “God's plan for enlarging His kingdom is so simple - one person telling another about the Savior. Yet we're busy and full of excuses. Just remember, someone's eternal destiny is at stake. The joy you'll have when you meet that person in heaven will far exceed any discomfort you felt in sharing the gospel.”

This week, we continue our sermon series through Ephesians as we look to chapter 3 verses 14-21. We know that an active prayer life is an essential part of Christian living, and Paul gives us a model prayer to follow and learn from in his letter to the Ephesians. We should pray with humility through gratitude of God's provision and with confidence in him. We need to seek through prayer the fullness of God's power and love and pray with great expectations for what He has and is doing. The passage ends with the benediction: now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. As we continue our sermon series Moving Forward, we focus on how personal and corporate prayer are a vital part of momentum in our lives as Christians. As we follow Jesus, the first thing we should do is pray, but usually it's the last thing we think about. We see in Acts that the early church took prayer very seriously. They prayed regularly and with honesty. They prayed with balance but also specifically for needs. And we see that their prayer got results.
