All that and all of the regular segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, “Trailer Talk” (Upside Down and Spring Breakers), “Out Now Quickies”, “Movie Call Back”, Box Office Results, and of course Games. Nothing but fun when it comes to Zombies and Stallone! So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
This week’s epic bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is the big one; it’s the Top Ten Films of 2012 episode, with Aaron and Abe going through their list, along with the several guests who have prepared theirs as well. Joining the duo in counting down their favorite films are Mark Hobin, Jordan Grout, Maxwell Haddad, and eventually, much like last year, Alan Aguilera. Everyone gets a chance to speak their peace about what they feel were the best films of 2012. There is plenty of discussion about these films, as well as some other films that deserved honorable mention, as well as some that fell into other categories. It’s a packed show yet again. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
This special holiday bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe will maybe go down as one of the more heated discussions. Aaron and Abe are joined by Jordan Grout and Christian Spicer to discuss the latest from Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained. As it is a bonus episode, some segments are skipped this week, but we do leave room for trailers (Man of Steel) and games. Still, it is the Django discussion (which does eventually make its way to spoiler territory) where the meat of this episode lies and all parties involved have things to say about it. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another ambitious experiment. Aaron and Abe decided that due to the many films that came out over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (sorry non-American listeners), it would be best to have several frequent guests of the show all give their thoughts on some of the various movies released in separate recordings. So what you will get here are thoughts on Life of Pi, Silver Linings Playbook, Rise of the Guardians, Red Dawn, and Hitchcock. The guys are joined by Mark Hobin, Adam Gentry, Mark Johnson, Maxwell Haddad, Jordan Grout, and Liz Manashil, in various segments of the show. There will be certain movies covered multiple times, but hopefully the different guest will provide fresh enough perspectives, making this episode’s experimental format pay off in a good way. So now, if you’ve got an hour (or two) to kill…

This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another bonus episode. This time, Aaron, Abe, and guests Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout, along with newest guest Gregg Knox, spend time evaluating the complete adventures of Indiana Jones, in honor of the Blu-ray set released this week. The group discusses every film individually, while of course approaching where they stack up in the series as a whole, along with memorable moments, and other things about the series in general. Not many of the regular segments this week, aside from everyone’s favorite, “Know Everybody,” but there’s certainly no time for love Dr. Jones, because these guys are on a constant stream of thought regarding everyone’s favorite professor/adventurer. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
Here we go with another bonus commentary. This time, inspired both by the upcoming release of Dredd 3D and the enthusiasm of guest Jordan Grout, Aaron, Abe, along with Jordan and commentary favorite Jim Dietz, decided that the 1995 Judge Dredd was a perfectly good choice for a movie that Out Now could discuss at feature length. As always, these commentaries are recorded to match up with the film, which the gang is sure to synch up in the opening, before things get underway. Whether or not the listener decides to listen to the commentary with or without the movie playing in the background is a choice that they’ll have to make for themselves.
It’s another commentary and it’s a good one. Out Now with Aaron and Abe is happy to present a commentary focused on the 1994 classic, Street Fighter, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia. Aaron and Abe are joined by Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout, as well as Street Fighter Video Game technical expert Ken Noffsinger, who all impart some thoughts and knowledge in regards to the film adaptation, which we all know and love. As always, these commentaries seem to be fun whether or not you are actually watching the movie, so feel free to get our thoughts and be entertained, regardless of the setting.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is more or less a Free-for-All. Basically, given the time period (end of summer doldrums), we decided that not one movie necessarily needed a full episode devoted to it; so instead, we decided to talk about a multitude of flicks, with special guests Mark Hobin, Jordan Grout, and Markus Robinson, to share their thoughts as well. Aaron, Abe, and the gang, dig into Expendables 2, Premium Rush, Killer Joe, the films of Tony Scott, and much more. What started out as a simple idea for an episode regarding what we have watched, only went on to become almost a couple hours of good times, fun talks, and bitter arguments. #Phrasing. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is maybe the end of an era. Aaron and Abe have enjoyed the presence of guests Jordan Grout and Alan Aguilera on the same episodes, in the past, but this Total Recall-themed episode was almost too ridiculous, questioning whether they can have those two on at the same time ever again. That said, yes, Total Recall is the main review this week, but there is also plenty of discussion during the other segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, “Trailer Talk” (Skyfall, Killing Them Softly, The Dark Knight Returns Part 1), “Movie Call Back”, Box Office Results and Predictions, and of course Games. It is an in-depth episode, with plenty of shenanigans going on, as well as lots of geeky film discussion. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
It’s another commentary, but a historical one! The most important thing to note about this episode is that four of us watched all three Step Up movies simultaneously and recorded a commentary that can go along side any of them. So basically anyone can choose whichever Step Up movie and use this commentary to help supplement it. This is a first in podcasting and commentary history, I believe, so feel free to embrace it. Aaron is joined by Alan Aguilera (watching Step Up), Jordan Grout (watching Step Up 2 The Streets), and Ken Noffsinger (watching Step Up 3D with Aaron) to talk about each film, at the same time. Frankly, this was an amazing idea, very difficult to record, but completely worth it to give anyone the opportunity to watch any of the Step Up movies and have a jokey commentary for it.
This special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a continuation of The Dark Knight Rises episode. While the first episode was all about reviewing Batman’s latest adventures, while staying spoiler-free, this episode features a spoiler-filled discussion about the film. There is some quick talk about The Dark Knight Rises’ box office totals, but after that, the rest of the show is dedicated to The Dark Knight Rises and everything about it. Aaron (and Abe, eventually) is joined by guests Scott Mendelson, Jordan Grout, Alan Aguilera, and Adam Gentry. Differing viewpoints certainly lead to some spirited conversing, but overall, everyone just wants to pick apart (in positive and negative ways) the most anticipated film of the year. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
Out Now with Aaron and Abe always loves delivering bonus episodes and now they are dealing out an audio commentary for Batman Forever. I guess the logic was that at least one Batman film needed to be talked about, so why not the third in the former franchise, before everyone goes out to see the third in the Nolan franchise. So that’s what occurred. Aaron is joined by commentary regulars Jim Dietz, Jordan Grout, and Scott Mendelson, for another packed audio track to accompany anyone that wants to relive the Val Kilmer-Joel Schumacher Collaboration that occurred back in the summer of 1995. A lot is discussed and there’s a lot to enjoy, so please do.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is jam packed. Aaron and Abe were actually together in the same room this week, as they discuss The Amazing Spider-Man with guests Jordan Grout and Jordan from Jersey (of Legion of Dudes and The Walking Dead TV Podcast). It is an episode full of thoughts from all involved and also brings on the regular segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, “Trailer Talk” (Dredd 3D and The Man with the Iron Fists), “Movie Call Back”, Box Office results and predictions, games (Celebrity Tweets returns!), and other fun. Aaron and Abe also have a mini review of Savages, recorded later in the day, put towards the end of the episode, along with a more spoiler-y section in regards to Spider-Man. As said, it’s a packed show. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is yet another double episode, featuring two very similar movies…were you to think that vulgar teddy bears and Channing Tatum in a thong are similar. Regardless, Aaron and Abe are joined by guests Jordan Grout and Jose Cordova, as the group discusses Ted and Magic Mike. Additionally, the regular segments are here as well, including “Know Everybody”, “Trailer Talk” (Taken 2, Hotel Transylvania, and Here Comes the Boom), “Movie Call Back”, Box Office results and predictions, and of course Games (the return of an old game, in fact). Plenty was gone over in this episode, matching last week’s excess of content, but with more male nudity this time. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
On Skype, no one can hear you scream…This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a packed one, as Aaron and Abe are joined by Scott Mendelson, Adam Gentry, and Jordan Grout to discuss the latest sci-fi film from Ridley Scott, Prometheus. It is a packed episode, as the gang goes in deep with this one (and also do a little spoiler talk at the very end). Regular segments of course as well. “Know Everybody”, “Trailer Talk” (Django Unchained and Flight), Box Office Results, “Movie Call Back”, and some fun games to enjoy. The key thing to take away though, the group answers every question about Prometheus and LOST in this episode…yeah, every single one. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
Whoever wins, we lose…again. So they did it, this bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another commentary for another bad movie. In honor of the release of Prometheus, this time Abe, Aaron, and special guests Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz all got together and watched Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem, while delivering as much fun possible in the form of audio entertainment. Again, one may not even need to watch the film in order to enjoy listening to a podcast episode like this, but if one has the desire to do so, feel free, as the group discusses all that they can about this never-to-be cult classic and other things as well, since it sometimes becomes hard to stay on topic when dealing with AVP: R. Lastly, there is a very easy giveaway contest detailed in this episode as well.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe seems like it has been nearly a year in the making. While I cannot pinpoint the exact moment Aaron, Abe, Jordan Grout, and Alan Aguilera all realized that they were dying to see Battleship, the time has finally arrived for them to review it. The results are…interesting. Aside from that, the boys also have fun with all the regular segments, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (Argo and This is 40), Box Office Talk, “Movie Callback”, and some new games! Which includes one that is entirely not true. Plenty of other shenanigans ensue throughout this episode, which the boys once named as the spiritual successor to their Transformers 3 episode, so please take a listen. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill…
Time for another Bonus Commentary Episode! With The Avengers coming out in the very near future, Aaron and Abe decided to record another special bonus episode that relates to this very ambitious comic book film event. The Incredible Hulk was the film the group all decided to do a commentary for, which leads to Aaron, Abe, and guests Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz discussing the various positives and negatives about all the Avengers ‘prequels’ in general, as well as the Ang Lee version of Hulk. Of course, there is always plenty of random banter going on throughout are the wacky Out Now commentaries as well, so if you’re a trooper, have fun settling in and listening to this, with or without the movie playing at the same time.
Time for another Bonus Commentary Episode! For whatever reason, Aaron and Abe have decided to spend more time adding their thoughts over films that they felt like watching together, along with a couple guests – Jordan Grout and Jim Dietz. Say what you will about how much one learns during these commentaries, but at least they manage to have a good time watching the film, despite the many tangents they go on. Anyway, if you happen to have access to the original 1981 Clash of the Titans or feel like listening to random chatter about the movie, without actually watching it, here is one way to do so.
And here it is, Episode 50! This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is recorded in front of a live audience; voiced in color; presented in 3D (so I hope everyone has their special Out Now Glasses), full of surprises (including evil twins and crazy plot twists), and we announce a brand new contest (with a sweet prize). Also, someone will die at the end of the episode. Joining Aaron and Abe in this fun filled episode are Jordan Grout and Liz Manashil, who will be helping to review The Hunger Games. There is also the inclusion of all the favorite segments – “Know Everybody”, “Instead or Because Of”, “Trailer Talk” (we talk about a lot of trailers this time around), Box Office results, games, and some other fun stuff. As mentioned, this is our 50th episode, so listen up and pay attention for the various bits of banter, announcements made, and additional Easter eggs and bloopers.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe takes us to the fourth rock from the sun, as Aaron, Abe, and guests Scott Mendelson and Jordan Grout all take part in a fairly lengthy discussion of John Carter. Lots to talk about and the review certainly is hefty. Also lengthy are discussions of the trailers for Men in Black 3 and Finding Nemo 3D. The usual segments follow as well, including “Know Everybody”, box office results and predictions, deciding what to watch with “Instead or Because of”, and some games and other fun. Plenty of talk, plenty of tangents, and Jordan certainly has more to say about this film than Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds. And also stay tuned at the end to hear some slight spoiler talk as well.
This special bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is all about the Oscar results. Well that’s not entirely true, special guest Jordan Grout joins Aaron and Abe to discuss his thoughts on Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds (someone had to), but after that, the group then dives into what took place on Oscar night. Not a lot of frill to this episode, just enough to let everyone know how good or bad these guys were at predicting this year’s winners. And who doesn’t like getting bonus episodes?
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe finds the duo (along with guests Jordan Grout and Alan Aguilera) dealing with vengeance, as the rider has come to claim his souls. Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance is the main film review for this week and there’s nothing like a big dose of Cage Rage to get things going. Of course all of the regular segments are here as well, including “Know Everybody”, Trailer Talk (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Lockout), box office results, retro reviews, and there is even time for some games. This episode is hotter than a flaming skull.
Yep, they did it. In what may be one of the worst episodes (or best) of Out Now with Aaron and Abe, the gang actually sat down and watched Ghost Rider to record a commentary for a bonus episode. Aaron and Abe are joined by guests Ken Noffsinger and Jordan Grout for what was more like an endurance round, as the gang sat back and “enjoyed” what was the Nic Cage-starring ‘soon-to-be-superhero classic’ Ghost Rider. Making things even better, Jordan was watching the extended cut, while the rest of us watched the theatrical, so plenty of fun in that respect. One probably doesn’t even need to actually watch Ghost Rider, while listening to this, but if you can find a copy (unfortunately it is not streaming on Netflix), or even if you don’t, you may be able to get some joy out of listening to this track.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is a bit of a quickie, despite going through all the fun segments and featuring two guests. Aaron and Abe are joined by (a very much alive) Jordan Grout and HHWLOD’s own Mr. Jim Dietz, as the group discusses the latest from Steven Soderbergh, Haywire. As mentioned, the gang goes forth with all the regular segments as well, including “Know Everybody”, trailer talk (Expendables 2 and GI JOE: Retaliation), box office results, retro reviews, and the return of games. The episode is a bit shorter than most, but it still is pretty packed.
Happy Holidays Everyone! Due to an obviously chaotic holiday season, this is the first of hopefully a couple hastily recorded bonus holiday episodes. The subject of this episode is the new Steven Spielberg-directed, Peter Jackson-produced motion-capture animated feature, The Adventures of Tintin. Aaron and Abe are joined by Jordan Grout (while driving in his car) to discuss the film, as well as play a little “Know Everybody”, talk about the brand new teaser for The Hobbit, have a little retro review fun, with a surprising amount of Indy 4-related talk, and play some games. Aaron talks really fast, Abe finds success, and Jordan is happy to be along for the ride in this fast-paced, packed bonus episode.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is another packed episode. Amidst the holiday season, many many films are coming out, but Aaron and Abe are doing what they can to cover a good chunk of them. First up, the newest Mission: Impossible film and a sequel to Sherlock Holmes. Joining the duo to discuss these features are past guests Scott Mendelson and Jordan Grout. The group takes the time needed to get into reviewing these tentpole releases along with delving into The Dark Knight Rises prologue, which was exclusively attached to select IMAX screens showing Mission: Impossible. Other regular segments of the show are included as well; “know everybody”, “retro review”, and an extended look at the box office, given the skills Scott Mendelson possesses as a pundit. It is certainly a content-filled show, with plenty of fun to be had.
This week’s bonus episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe is an audio commentary. It is also a special combo episode, as Out Now is pitching in for its sister podcast show, The Walking Dead TV Podcast. Aaron and Abe have tried a commentary once before, so far, with John Carpenter’s The Thing, but now the duo joins up once again with Alan Aguilera and Jordan Grout to discuss George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, the zombie film that started it all, which is of course quite fitting for WDTV. Joining them as well is one of the co-hosts of WDTV, Jordan from Jersey. Night of the Living Dead is an incredibly easy movie to find (especially for free via the internet), so please try and enjoy yourselves, as the gang does what they can to entertain and speak about the movie.
Based on the love and praise Aaron, Jordan Grout, and Alan Aguilera have for John Carpenter’s The Thing, along with Abe’s newfound love and respect for The Thing, the gang decided to do their first audio commentary for that film. Simple enough to enjoy, the gang even has a brief intro to properly explain how to synch the film with the podcast. So if interested, sit back with your copy of The Thing and listen to a bunch of guys chat about it. And stay tuned to the end, if you want to learn the secret word.
This week’s episode of Out Now with Aaron and Abe re-discovers why man is the warmest place to hide. Of course that refers to the 1982 horror classic, John Carpenter’s The Thing, and what better way to discuss it than by reviewing the new prequel/remake of the film, also titled The Thing…well I can think of another way to discuss it, but that’s something that will be revealed later on in the week. For now, this week’s episode features Aaron and Abe, along with special guests Jordan Grout and Alan Aguilera discussing The Thing, along with participating in the rest of the standard segments, including “know everybody”, trailer talk (The Avengers and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), box office results and predictions, retro reviews, and some games.
