Mailey as Kelly GreenJulien Samani as FredericBRAN'S AN ALPINE HOLIDAY SYNOPSISThe movie kicks off with old home videos of two sisters, Faith and Kelly, spending Christmas every year with their grandma.Cut to present day: Faith shows up late at night at Kelly's apartment. She's in town from Miami for their grandma's funeral. It's clear the sisters aren't as close as they used to be.The next day, they meet with their grandma's estate lawyer. He gives them her travel journal from when she was younger. It details a trip she took to the French Alps, where she and their grandpa got engaged. Her last request is that Faith and Kelly take the same journey on Christmas Eve. They can't believe it, but they can't go against her final wish. Kelly initially says she can't go — but decides at the last minute to join Faith just as she is leaving.Their first stop is a French café to grab a croissant. They meet their tour guide, Frédéric, who was hired by their grandma but won't say why. He flirts with Kelly before realizing she's his tour guest. The sisters take the train to the French countryside and almost leave grandma's journal behind. Frédéric shows them around the town and takes them to a lodge. Faith invites him to stay with them, which is awkward considering his earlier flirtation with Kelly — but he agrees to stick around.Faith checks in with her boyfriend back home, who is a bit offended she traveled to France to get space after he proposed. The sisters visit a spa with a hot tub and cold plunge, and a fight scares Frédéric away for a moment. The argument doesn't last long, and the trip continues. It turns out Frédéric is the grandson of a woman their grandma met on her original trip. One evening, Kelly opens up to Frédéric about feeling guilty since her grandma passed away. They slow dance and kissgggg — but Kelly quickly becomes emotional, insisting she doesn't want a holiday fling. It's time for the big hike. Things go smoothly until they reach the cabin, where a big storm hits. Faith insists on continuing the hike and heads out on her own.Kelly and Frédéric set out to find her, leading to a heart-to-heart between the sisters. They eventually reach the top of the mountain, leave a lock to commemorate the journey, and Kelly and Frédéric share a romantic kiss. Nepali Industry has heaps of talented best lyricist who poured the heart out in the songs, express through his pen, putting every emotion on a piece of paper which we could not resist to sing. The golden era of Nepali music was because of these exceptional writers/lyricists like Naresh Dev Pant. His beautiful lyrics have sung by Nabin K Bhattarai, Sunil Bardewa, Sugam Pokharel, Karna Das, Sukmit Gurung, Phatteman Rajbhandari etc. The writer or the poet in him brings forth the emotions as he spends an enormous amount of time in deep thought, and his acute observation lends such memorable songs that have been etched in our memory. Before he started writing songs, he wrote poems for children and wrote dialogues for the Radio plays. He has written lyrics for more than a hundred songs. Naresh debuted in the Nepali music industry with his first song, “Bajauda Bajaudai”, co-written with Pranil Timalsina, sung by famous singer Nabin K. Bhattarai. Many of his songs have been awarded by various Radio and TV stations. Some of his famous songs are ‘Goreto Ani’, ‘Bistarai Chhayo’, ‘Dobatoma’, ‘Na Aau Mero Najik’, “Bhanekai hu Mailey”, etc. So far, Panta has released three music albums comprising only his lyrics, and they are ‘Sagarmatha’, ‘Yathartha’, ‘100% pure hits’.He has produced different series as well as movies. As a director, he has received massive recognition with his short film “The Job Application”, which was screened at Cannes Film Festival. He also owns Mauree Entertainment Pvt. Join us for a panel discussing how the profits from corruption fuel bad governance, conflict and terrorism. Governments falter due to corrupt officials who steal funds earmarked for public projects and enrich themselves with bribes. Grievances such as lack of services and unemployment have a common source: the plundering of a country’s wealth by predatory and corrupt political elites. Proceeds garnered from the illicit trade in natural resources provide funds for militias to buy weapons and foment strife. Today’s deadliest conflicts are sustained by illegal enrichment from pillaging property such as ivory, minerals and timber, stealing from impoverished populations. Panelists discuss possible solutions to address the ongoing scourge of corruption. For this special episode, Sam Benrubi sits down with Doug Flemer, Courtney Mailey, and Eric Asimov to talk about wine (and cider) from the great state of Virginia! Eric Asimov is a Chief Wine Critic for the New York Times and author of the book, How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto, and co-author of Wine With Food: Pairing Notes and Recipes from the New York Times. Before assuming his current role at The Times in 2004, Asimov authored the publication’s Tastings column, To Go column, Wine School, Wine of the Times, and The Pour, as well as the $25 and Under restaurant reviews, and freelanced for WQXR, Food and Wine, Details, and Martha Stewart Living. In his 33+ years of writing about food and wine for the Times, Asimov has become a renowned expert in the wine world. Courtney Mailey founded Blue Bee Cider in downtown Richmond, Virginia in 2012. After working in economic development for 12 years, she left the corporate grind in 2010. Courtney attended cider school at Cornell University, apprenticed with Albemarle CiderWorks for one year, then starting getting Blue Bee Cider off the ground in 2012. Opening in 1980, under the direction of Doug Flemer, Ingleside Vineyards is one of Virginia’s oldest and largest wineries and produces over 18 types of wine from its estate-grown grapes. For over thirty-five years, our hand-crafted wines have won numerous awards and top honors in state, national and international wine competitions, such as the London International Wine & Spirits Competition, the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition. Heritage Radio Network On Tour is powered by Simplecast.
You guys are going to enjoy this one! She is an experienced trainer who now sits on the board of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and she is well known in the industry for how she runs her classes. This is such a relaxing interview and it was such joy to talk with Mailey. She is currently working on her "people skills" so she can better communicate with dog owners......something we might revisit in another episode.

Sam Pa is a mysterious man, largely unknown to the outside world. Yet this man, who goes by at least 7 different aliases, represents the nefarious side of China's engagement in Africa. Sam Pa and his associates in the Hong Kong-based consortium known as the 88 Queensway Group represent a new breed of predatory investors who work in the shadows to close billions of dollars in questionable deals that have no oversight of any kind. New information about Sam Pa, the Queensway Group and shadow Chinese investors in Africa is now available in a detailed research report published by the US government funded Africa Center for Strategic Studies. ACSS Research Associate J.R. Mailey is the author of the report and joins Eric and Cobus to share shed light on the dark side of these Chinese investors in Africa.
