In a culture where relationships can feel temporary, what does faithful Christian friendship actually look like? Discover how to build stronger, healthier relationships by keeping your word, respecting boundaries, protecting others and continuing to show up even when friendship becomes inconvenient. Whether you are longing for deeper friendships, trying to become a more trustworthy friend, or learning how faith should shape your relationships, this sermon offers practical biblical wisdom for loving people well. God can use loyal and consistent friendship to bring encouragement, strength, healing, and hope into the lives of others. #ChristianFriendship #BiblicalFriendship #RonMerrell #ConnectionPointe #ChristianSermon NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? What does it take to build real friendship? In this message from our Fostering Friendship series, Teaching Pastor Ron Merrell looks at how openness and vulnerability shape the kind of friendships God designed us to experience. Friendship is not built through image management, pretending, or keeping people at a safe distance. Scripture shows us that wise, life-giving relationships require trust, honesty, humility, and the courage to be known. Through the friendship of David and Jonathan in 1 Samuel, we see a picture of loyalty, love, covenant, grief, and deep connection. Their friendship reminds us that meaningful relationships are formed when we move beyond surface-level connection and allow others to walk with us in both strength and weakness. This message explores why biblical friendship requires wisdom and intentionality, how openness fosters trust, why carrying one another’s burdens matters, and how confession, comfort, and weakness can deepen relationships within Christian community. If you are longing for deeper friendships, healthier relationships, or a stronger sense of community, this message will encourage you to take a step toward honesty, trust, and connection. God did not design us to follow Jesus alone. Real friendship requires courage, but it can also become one of the places where God brings healing, wisdom, encouragement, and strength. What if the life you are looking for is found not by striving harder, but by staying connected to Jesus? In Living on Purpose, Guest Speaker Bob Merritt invites us to slow down and consider what it really means to live the life God created for us. Many of us want purpose, clarity, spiritual growth, and a deeper faith, but so often we try to achieve those things through our own effort. Jesus offers a different way. This message reminds us that we are God’s masterpiece. But the fruit of a meaningful life doesn’t come from pressure, performance, or pretending to have it all together. It comes from remaining in Jesus. This sermon is for anyone who feels spiritually dry, distracted, or unsure of their next step. It’s an invitation to examine what your soul is connected to, where you may be striving instead of abiding, and how God may be calling you back into a life rooted in His love. #LivingWithPurpose #BobMerritt #ChristianSermon #ConnectionPointeChurch #GodsPurpose #Ephesians210 #John15 #SpiritualGrowth #Faith NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? What does the Bible say about building a thriving family and a thriving community? In this sermon, guest speaker Bill High explores God’s design for family, community, and multi-generational faith. From Ecclesiastes 3:11 to Psalm 78:5-7 and 1 Corinthians 12, this message shows how God created us to belong, grow, and pass faith from one generation to the next. We all want to be part of something that lasts. But in a culture shaped by individualism, busyness, and disconnection, many families struggle to live with purpose, unity, and spiritual legacy. This message points us back to a biblical vision of family as an interdependent, multi-generational community where faith, values, story, and mission are intentionally passed on. Join us as we discover how God invites each of us into something bigger than ourselves: a thriving family and a thriving community built for generations. What does it really mean to put Christ above all, including our finances? In Week 3 of Above All, Pastor John S. Dickerson teaches from Matthew 13:44 and 2 Corinthians 9 to show how Jesus changes the way we see money, generosity, security, and treasure. The kingdom of heaven is worth more than anything we own, and when Christ becomes our greatest treasure, our finances begin to reflect a deeper trust in God. This message explores what Scripture says about cheerful giving, sowing generously, trusting God to provide, and living with open hands. Generosity is not about pressure, guilt, or obligation. It is about joyfully responding to the God who supplies what we need and invites us to be part of His work. Join us as we learn how to honor God with our money, trust Him with what we have, and put Christ first in every area of life. #AboveAll #ConnectionPointe #JohnDickerson #ChristianSermon #BiblicalGenerosity #FaithAndFinances NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? What do you do when you choose God, obey Him, and life still falls apart? Pastor John S. Dickerson teaches through some of the most challenging and faith-filled moments in Scripture. Looking at the lives of Hannah, Sarah, the Shunammite woman, and Mary’s costly offering to Jesus, this message shows that trusting God is not always immediate, comfortable, or easy, but it is always meaningful. This sermon speaks to anyone who has wrestled with delayed answers, painful sacrifice, or obedience that seemed costly. Through John 12, Matthew 26, 1 Samuel, Genesis, 2 Kings, and Psalm 18, Pastor John unpacks how real faith learns to trust God with what we value most, even when the outcome does not make sense yet. This is a message about surrender, generosity, costly worship, and placing Christ above all. What feels like loss in the moment can become an offering of deep love and lasting impact in the hands of God. #AboveAll #ItDoesntMakeSense #PastorJohnSDickerson #ConnectionPointeChurch NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? What happens when money, fear, or comfort takes first place in your heart instead of Jesus? In Week 1 of our Above All series, Pastor John S. Dickerson opens Matthew 6:33, Matthew 7:24-27, 1 Timothy 6, Ecclesiastes 5, and 1 Kings 17 to show what it really means to seek first the Kingdom of God and put Christ above all in every area of life. This message reveals why trust in God is the foundation for spiritual breakthrough. Through the contrast between building on rock or sand, the offerings of Cain and Abel, and the faith of the widow of Zarephath, Pastor John S. Dickerson shows that what we place first reveals what we trust most. When money, comfort, or control become our foundation, our lives eventually crack. But when Jesus is above all, God forms a deeper faith, a stronger foundation, and a life marked by peace, generosity, and joy. If you are wrestling with fear, uncertainty, finances, obedience, or the question of what it means to truly put Christ first, this sermon will challenge and encourage you to trust God with every part of your life. Have you ever felt unseen, overlooked, or like no one truly understands what you’re carrying? In this message, Hey World, I See You, Connection Pointe continues the Lift Off series by exploring Pentecost in Acts 2 and the powerful truth that God sees people personally, deeply, and individually. Pastor Ron Merrell walks through how the Holy Spirit was poured out on believers, not for a spiritually elite few, but for all who belong to Christ, and how that moment declared God’s love and pursuit for every nation, language, and person. This sermon shows how Pentecost was God’s way of saying, “I see you,” to the whole world. From Jerusalem to every nation under heaven, God moved toward people in their own language and context. That same Spirit still empowers believers today to see others, move toward others, and carry the love of Jesus into real lives with real struggles. If you are wrestling with loneliness, identity, stress, shame, sin, broken relationships, or the ache of not feeling seen, this message points to a God who moves toward you with grace and purpose. It also challenges followers of Jesus to see beyond categories, labels, and demographics, and instead move toward individual hearts with the love of Christ. Where is Jesus right now, and why does that matter for your life today? In Week 2 of our Lift Off series, Mission Control, Pastor Ron Merrell walks through the ascension of Jesus to reveal what Christ is doing right now and why His reign, His intercession, and His Spirit change everything for believers today. Through Luke 24:50-53, Acts 1:8-9, Hebrews 1:3, Romans 8:33-34, John 14:16-18, and Matthew 28:19-20, this sermon shows that the ascension was not Jesus leaving us behind. It was Jesus taking His place as reigning King, advocating High Priest, and the One who sends the Holy Spirit to empower His church. This message reminds us that we are not abandoned in our circumstances, our failures do not remove us from His grace, and we are not left to figure life out on our own strength. Jesus reigns with authority, intercedes for believers, and gives the Holy Spirit so we can live faithfully and join Him in His mission. If you have ever felt like you need to control everything, be perfect, or be stronger than you really are, this sermon points you back to the grace of Jesus and the constant help of His presence. What launched the early church into a movement that changed the world? In Week 1 of our Lift Off series, Pastor Ron Merrell teaches from Luke 24:36-53 to show how Jesus’ post-resurrection appearances and ascension sparked the lift-off of the early church and how those same catalysts still empower believers today. Jesus met His followers with peace, strengthened their faith, opened their minds to Scripture, gave them a message to share, and promised power from on high. Those catalysts were crucial to the early church, and they are still crucial for the church today. This sermon will help you understand how gathering with other believers, receiving the peace of Jesus, learning the Word of God, being opened by God to truly understand, and living as a witness all work together in the mission of the church. If you want deeper confidence in your faith, clearer understanding of Scripture, and renewed purpose in God’s mission, this message points to the same Jesus who launched the early church and still leads His people today. What if the thing that feels dead in your life could be raised to life again? In this Easter message, Pastor John S. Dickerson shares the hope at the center of Christianity: Jesus Christ rose from the dead, defeating sin and death, and His victory is still available today. This sermon explores the many ways death touches our lives, not only physical death, but also the death of peace, joy, innocence, relationships, freedom, hope, and dreams. Through the resurrection of Jesus and the truth of Scripture, Pastor John S. Dickerson shows that Easter is the announcement that there is a Savior who can step into your story and bring dead things back to life. If you are carrying grief, fear, shame, hopelessness, or questions about life after death, this message points to the One who said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” It is a message of real hope, real victory, and new life through Jesus. Why do some people welcome Jesus while others resist Him? In Week 2 of our Countdown series, Pastor Ron Merrell walks through the events of Holy Week to show how people responded very differently to Jesus as He moved toward the cross. Some shouted “Hosanna.” Some listened closely to His teaching. Some were healed and changed. Others were blinded by pride, cultural pressure, political expectations, religious mindsets, and comfortable lives. This message explores the strong currents that keep people from receiving Jesus and the rising tide of God’s work through Holy Week. It shows how the Word exposes hypocrisy, how hearts are softened, and how the cross declares both love and victory. From the triumphal entry to the temple to the garden, this sermon helps us see what it means to respond honestly to Jesus and to walk with Him through each day of Holy Week. What kind of King rides into the city on a donkey instead of a war horse? In Week 1 of our Countdown series, Pastor Ron Merrell teaches from Matthew 21 and Zechariah 9 to show how Jesus entered Jerusalem not with force, pride, or violence, but with gentleness, humility, and peace. As Passion Week begins, Jesus publicly reveals Himself as King. But He does not arrive like the rulers of this world. He comes lowly and approachable, bringing peace between sinful people and God. This message will help you understand why the triumphal entry matters, how Jesus fulfilled prophecy, and what it means that He is both gentle and King. If you need peace, hope, or a fresh picture of who Jesus is, this sermon points to the Savior who comes near with grace, mercy, and authority. Revival rarely happens overnight. It grows through decades of faithful obedience to God. In the final message of the Revival series, Pastor John S. Dickerson teaches on the theme “Decades, Not Days.” Through the story of Noah, the teachings of Jesus, and the encouragement found in Hebrews, this message explores how lasting spiritual impact is built through perseverance and lifelong commitment to Christ. Noah spent decades building the ark in obedience to God. His faithfulness protected his family and shaped future generations. In the same way, the choices we make today can influence our families, our churches, and the spiritual direction of our nation. This message challenges believers to examine what their time, treasure, and affections reveal about their commitment to God’s Kingdom. Scripture calls us to seek the Kingdom first, remain faithful with what God has entrusted to us, and run the race of faith with perseverance. Revival grows when believers commit to living Kingdom-first not just for days or seasons, but for decades. NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? Are small acts of kindness enough to change someone’s eternity? In Week 3 of the Come to Jesus series, guest pastor Bob Merritt shares a powerful message called Seeds of Kindness about how everyday love can open the door for someone to encounter Jesus. In Mark 4, Jesus tells a parable about a farmer scattering seeds. Some fall on hard soil, some on rocky ground, some among thorns, and some on good soil. The condition of the soil represents the condition of the human heart. Our job is not to control the soil. Our job is simply to sow the seeds. Through stories, Scripture, and practical wisdom, this message explores what it looks like to sow seeds of love in the lives of neighbors, coworkers, and friends. You’ll discover: Why love is often the first step toward faith How small acts of kindness can point people to Jesus Why fear keeps many believers from sharing their faith How God uses simple conversations to change lives When we scatter seeds of patience, kindness, forgiveness, and truth, God can use them to transform someone’s life. It's Thursday, March 5th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 9 Nigerian Muslims on trial for killing 200 Christians Nine Fulani Muslim herdsmen are on trial in Nigeria for participating in the massacre of over 200 Christians in the country last year. Christian Daily International reports this is a rare case of prosecution against the Fulani herdsmen. The prosecution comes as the United States is calling on the country to combat Christian persecution. The U.S. is considering a bilateral agreement with Nigeria to protect Christian communities there and eliminate jihadist terror. Psalm 7:9 says, “Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just; for the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.” Nigerian Anglicans reject the homosexual agenda of Church of England Speaking of Nigeria, the Global Anglican Future Conference is meeting this week in the West African country. The movement of conservative Anglican churches, mainly in Africa and Asia, supports Biblical sexuality. The group has effectively broken off from the Anglican Communion led by the Church of England. Sarah Mullally is set to become the first female archbishop of Canterbury in the Church of England. Sadly, she supports blessings for homosexual couples. The Global Anglican Future Conference now plans on appointing its own leader who will represent Biblical values. The conservative group says it represents 85 percent of the world's practicing Anglicans. Christian teacher vindicated for refusing to say inaccurate pronouns In the United States, an Indiana school district agreed to pay $650,000 in a religious freedom lawsuit. Brownsburg Community School Corporation forced John Kluge, a Christian music teacher, to resign for not using biologically incorrect pronouns. David Cortman with Alliance Defending Freedom commented on the case. He said, “After almost five and a half years, common sense has prevailed at Brownsburg. … Schools should learn that refusing to accommodate religious employees can be illegal and expensive.” Red state families having more babies than blue state families The Institute for Family Studies reports that the women in red states are birthing more babies than those in blue states since the COVID-19 pandemic. The 20 states that voted Democrat in 2024 saw a decline in people in their 20s and kids under 10 compared to 2019. Meanwhile, Republican-leaning states often had cheaper housing and tended to attract parents with young kids. States like Idaho, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee saw a 10% increase in married families with young children over the last five years. States like California, New York, and Illinois saw a decline in such families. Trump cut federal workforce by 12% The federal government's civilian workforce shrunk by over 380,000 people during the first year of President Donald Trump's second term. That's a 12% workforce reduction between September 2024 and January 2026. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management reported the numbers yesterday. Scott Kupor, the director of the agency, said, “This effort ensures taxpayer dollars support a workforce that delivers efficient, responsive and high-quality services.” Mortgage rate fell to 5.98% Mortgage rates fell below six percent for the first time in years. The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell to 5.98 percent last week. It has not been that low since September 2022. Recent rates peaked at 7.8 percent in October 2023. Mortgage rates have been coming down slowly since the Federal Reserve began cutting its benchmark interest rate last year. Only 4% of American adults have Biblical worldview And finally, Dr. George Barna released his latest survey on Biblical worldview. Sadly, only four percent of U.S. adults have a Biblical worldview. That's unchanged compare to 2023 and down from 12 percent in 1994. Most Americans, over eight in ten, may believe some Biblical principles but often think and live in ways that conflict with the Bible. Also, only two percent of young adults have a Biblical worldview. The survey noted, “Despite the increased attention given to faith matters after the Charlie Kirk murder, and the growth in church attendance and individuals purchasing Bibles immediately after that incident, there is no hint of improvement when it comes to Biblical worldview.” However, Dr. Barna wrote, “We reached a low point—4%— in 2023. The fact that we have not plumbed new depths since then hopefully suggests that we have bottomed out and are in line to experience positive growth in biblical thought and action.” Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, March 5th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Are you running from God — or wondering if He still wants you back? In Week 2 of Come to Jesus, Pastor John S. Dickerson walks through Luke 15 and the powerful stories of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son. When religious leaders criticized Jesus for welcoming sinners, He responded with a story that changes everything. A shepherd searches for one lost sheep. A woman sweeps her house for one lost coin. A father runs to embrace a rebellious son. Why? Because what is lost is valuable. In this message, you’ll discover: How God truly feels about you Why heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents What it means that the Father ran How Jesus came to seek and save the lost No matter how far you’ve wandered, your Creator would rather leave heaven and suffer to reach you than be comfortable without you. Are you carrying something you were never meant to carry alone? This week’s message, Come and Receive, explores the simple but life-changing invitation at the center of the Christian faith. The Bible teaches that we have all sinned and fallen short — but God made a way through Jesus. Instead of striving to earn salvation, Jesus invites us to come and receive it. If you’re feeling weary, spiritually thirsty, or unsure how to begin a relationship with Christ, this message walks clearly through what Scripture says about sin, grace, eternal life, and how to respond to Jesus’ invitation. Join us as we look at Romans 3, Matthew 11, John 7, and Revelation 22 and discover the rest, forgiveness, and living water only Jesus gives. #ComeToJesus #Salvation #Jesus #Faith #ChurchOnline #BibleTeaching NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? How does revival last beyond a single generation? In this message, Pastor John S. Dickerson unpacks how God has always worked through intentional faith passed from one generation to the next. From Scripture and church history, you’ll see why revival continues when believers invest in children, students, and young adults—and why it fades when they don’t. This sermon will help you understand: • Why God consistently uses young people in movements of renewal • What Scripture calls adults and churches to do for the next generation • How everyday faithfulness shapes lasting spiritual impact • Why revival is sustained through intentional discipleship, not just moments This message is especially meaningful for parents, grandparents, leaders, and anyone who cares about the future of the Church and the faith of the next generation. #Revival #NextGeneration #ChristianFaith #SpiritualLegacy NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is? What would change if you truly saw people the way Jesus sees them? In this week’s message from our Revival series, Pastor John S. Dickerson calls us back to the heart of God for those who are far from Him. Throughout Scripture, revival begins when God’s people are moved with compassion for the lost and are willing to act with courage, humility, and urgency. This message walks through biblical examples, real stories, and Jesus’ own words to help us recognize the spiritual needs around us and respond with love and obedience. You will be encouraged to see how God works through everyday believers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to bring hope, salvation, and transformation through simple acts of faithfulness. This sermon also connects with our Revival devotional and group study resources, helping individuals and groups take practical steps toward prayer, bold conversations, and inviting others to encounter Jesus. “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 #ConnectionPointeChurch #Revival #PastorJohnDickerson NEXT STEPSHave you made a decision to follow Jesus and now wondering what your next step is?
