Based on real-life events, the play breaks the silence around sexual violence and was called by The Telegraph as one of the "most powerful pieces of theater you'll ever see.” Poorna gained international recognition for her portrayal of a journalist in the 2011 Bollywood film "Delhi Belly" and has appeared as series regular on HBO's "The Night Of" and Netflix's "Gypsy." In 2018 she was a member of the ensemble cast of HBO's "Room 104," created by the Duplass brothers. Most recently, Poorna plays Nalini Vishwakumar in Mindy Kaling's comedy series "Never Have I Ever." National-level boxer Jeeth Sanghavi was in her early 20s when it came to her as a surprise that she was appointed as Priyanka Chopra's trainer for the film on champion boxer and Olympic medalist Mary Kom. She was training in the national boxing camp when the Indian chief coach suggested her name to train Priyanka for the film because she was more qualified than her peers. She has done her bachelor's and master's degrees in physical education and a few certification courses. In 2019, she opened Boxx Era, her own fitness studio, in Delhi's Hauz Khas area. She was passionate about becoming a professional boxer and she gave it her all for nine years training in different state camps of Sports Authority of India. But Jeeth is of the belief that you need a godfather in sports. She went back to studying and completed a master's degree in health and fitness from Edith Cowan University, Australia. She learnt cross-fit training, pilates, and body transformation techniques to get a better perspective in fitness coaching and training. Nepali Industry has heaps of talented best lyricist who poured the heart out in the songs, express through his pen, putting every emotion on a piece of paper which we could not resist to sing. The golden era of Nepali music was because of these exceptional writers/lyricists like Naresh Dev Pant. Mary Kom is an Indian Amatuer boxer, who is the only female to become World Amatuer boxing Champion for a record six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals. Nicknamed Magnificent Mary, she is the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Olympics, competing in the flyweight category and winning a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world's No. 1 female light-flyweight by AIBA. She became the first Indian female boxer to win a gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Mary Kom grew up in humble surroundings, helping her parents with farm related chores, going to school and learning athletics initially and later boxing. Furthermore, Kom kept her interest in boxing a secret from her father, himself an ex-wrestler, as he was concerned that boxing would hurt Kom's face and spoil her chances of marriage. However, he learnt of it when Kom's photo appeared in a newspaper after she won the state boxing championship in 2000. After three years, her father began to support Kom's pursuits in boxing as he grew convinced of her love of boxing.

On 25 April 2016, the President of India nominated Kom as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian parliament In March 2017, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, appointed Mary Kom along with Akhil Kumar as national observers for boxing. In this episode of The Awful and Awesome Entertainment Wrap, Abhinandan Sekhri and Rajyasree Sen review the film Saand Ki Aankh, which hit theatres last Friday. “Tushar Hiranandani, whose directorial debut this is, demonstrated that it is clearly his directorial debut because I think this material under a more adept director would have made a fantastic film,” Abhinandan says. They also discuss interesting advertisements they watched recently. One is an ad by an Australian insurance company featuring Domuts, donuts for dogs. Both Abinandan and Rajyasree agree that it was definitely worth a watch. Another ad that caught their eye is the Puma ad featuring Indian sportswomen such as Mary Kom, Dutee Chand. “I thought it was a very cool jingle, but one can't help but compare it to the previous Nike commercials,” says Abhinandan. Rajyasree complains that the production quality of the ad is bad.A special episode of the Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman featuring Shah Rukh Khan is a topic of discussion as well. “This is by far one of the worst interviews of SRK I have seen and he is an extremely interesting interviewee,” Rajyasree says. They also review the Dabbang 3 trailer and agree that it all but gives away the gist of the film. So one doesn't need to watch the film when it releases. This week we are talking about Mary Kom, again. This is because last week, the former junior world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen wrote to Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, demanding a trial bout against MC Mary Kom before India’s squad for next year’s Olympic Qualifiers is decided. Earlier the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) had said that only if someone wins a gold or silver at the world championships will they be sent directly for the Olympics Qualifiers. And even though Kom only won a bronze, the BFI still plans to send her to the qualifiers directly. Our hosts discuss if Nikhat should be granted a trail bout and Gaurav explains why there's a Rocky V like narrative here that the BFI could benefit from. Next, they talk about Andy Murray, who made a comeback by wining the European Open and claiming his first singles title in more than two years. And last, they discuss India decimating South Africa in the third Test against South Africa to complete a 3-0 series sweep. Daksh also questions how points are calculated in shorter Test series and the advantage it gives the teams that play it.

In this episode, our hosts first discuss Asif Kapadia's new documentary Diego Maradona - whether it is worth a watch and whether it's made from a fan's perspective. They also reveal their favorite sports documentaries.  Next, they discuss Mary Kom winning a bronze at the World Boxing Championships, which made her the most successful boxer of all time (male or female) in the competition's history.  After this they move on to Eliud Kipchoge becoming the first athlete to run a sub two-hour marathon and explain why this record comes with a big asterisk.

Last week, the six-time world champion boxer, Mary Kom was selected to take part in the upcoming World Championships in Russia without taking part in a trail. Even though a trail was scheduled, between her and Nikhat Zareen, the Asian Championships bronze medallist. Zareen later complained to the Boxer Federation of India about it. In this episode, Daksh and Gaurav debate whether it was unfair for the federation to do so. Was it wrong to give weightage to Mary Kom's legacy? Or was it alright considering the risks boxing involves? Cricket Bonus: In the end of the episode, they also discuss the ICC trying to get cricket to be part of the 2028 Olympics. But do Olympics need cricket? And does cricket really need Olympics?
