Episode #1072 In this powerful revisit episode, we sit down with Gary and Heather, a couple deeply rooted in the TPM community, to talk about something most men avoid: emotional honesty. We're digging into what it really takes to build deep intimacy and trust in a relationship, not through grand gestures but through the simple, consistent act of showing up honestly. Gary shares how owning his needs and communicating them without shame became a turning point in his relationship. Heather opens up about how emotional safety, something she didn't realize she even needed, has become the foundation of their connection. We also talk about what keeps most men stuck. The fear of rejection. The pressure to always be the rock. The habit of hiding behind surface-level communication. But when a man starts being radically honest with himself and his partner, things shift. Real intimacy becomes possible. If you've ever felt like you're doing everything right but still not getting the connection you want, this one's worth a listen. You'll walk away with real, actionable insight on how to start showing up differently without becoming someone you're not. They certainly are an odd couple. Silicon Valley veterans Dave McClure and Aman Verjee have been friends and business partners for 25 years — first at PayPal, then at 500 Startups, and now at Practical Venture Capital. Yet they have quite different styles, personalities and, above all, politics. What they share, however, is an unvarnished take on the world — especially on the much mythologized Silicon Valley. In this refreshingly unfiltered conversation, they assess tech's two most dominant titans: Sam Altman and Elon Musk. McClure describes Altman as someone he'd never want to face across a poker table — “there's probably three layers of chess going on in his head.” Verjee breaks down the competitive psychology driving Musk as OpenAI's valuation leapfrogs SpaceX. Plus Verjee makes sense of Google's Gemini challenge to ChatGPT domination and McClure leaves us with one of his trademark blunt takes on Trump's crypto conflicts. This is a public episode. In this episode I am looking at two sayings in the Gospel of Thomas, sayings 36 and 37. Both have to do with clothing. Here they are: Jesus said, "Do not be concerned from morning until evening and from evening until morning about what you will wear." His disciples said, "When will you become revealed to us and when shall we see you?" Jesus said, "When you disrobe without being ashamed and take up your garments and place them under your feet like little children and tread on them, then will you see the Son of the Living One, and you will not be afraid."View Marshall's books here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Marshall-Davis/author/B001K8Y0RU

The Naked Truth Week 5 in our “Hebrews" series is about facing “The Naked Truth” of where we really are with God. From Hebrews 5, Pastor Jarod reminds us that even Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. We're called to grow up in our faith—to move from milk to solid food. That means training ourselves, putting in the reps, and learning to tell the difference between good and evil. Too many have settled for a fake version of truth that looks real but isn't. It's time to stop making excuses, shake things up, and start doing the will of God and the work He's called us to do. ____ Partner with New Tribe: Give | https://newtribe.church/give/ ____ Connect with New Tribe: Website | https://newtribe.church/comeexperience/ Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/newtribechurch Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/newtribechurch YouTube | https://www.youtube.com/newtribechurch

Send us a textThe economic revolution we've been waiting for isn't just coming—it's already here. In this eye-opening conversation, Steve Clegg brings decades of financial expertise to explain how artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency are fundamentally restructuring global commerce by eliminating the layers of middlemen that have traditionally absorbed 20-30% of transaction value.Clegg's journey through international finance began in 1974 when, as a 24-year-old University of Chicago graduate, he wrote a paper identifying the three fundamental challenges of global commerce: exchange rate fluctuations, interest rate differences, and local pricing disparities. That paper caught the attention of Federal Reserve Chairman Arthur Burns, launching Clegg into a career managing foreign exchange for major corporations. Now, nearly five decades later, he's watching cryptocurrency solve those exact problems he identified as a young economist. What makes this discussion truly compelling is how it connects technological innovation to fundamental economic principles. "There's no such thing as one-hand clapping," Clegg explains. "It requires two people exchanging goods and services." This core transaction—buyer and seller—has remained constant throughout human history, but the systems built around it have grown increasingly complex and extractive. AI and blockchain technology are now enabling a "great inversion," where technology supports rather than exploits commerce. The implications extend far beyond finance. Manufacturing cycles have compressed from years to just seven months. Energy production is becoming decentralized through mini nuclear reactors. Local food production via hydroponics eliminates transportation costs that typically account for 50% of food prices. These advancements suggest a future where communities can become more self-sufficient economic entities.Whether you're a business owner concerned about staying competitive, an investor trying to understand market trends, or simply someone wondering how these changes will affect your career, this conversation provides valuable perspective on navigating the most significant economic transformation of our lifetimes. The question isn't whether these changes are coming—it's whether you're prepared to adapt. On this powerful episode of What Are You Made Of?, Mike “C-Roc” sits down with Leah Pardee, whose remarkable journey from corporate climber and new age coach to devoted Christian and mother offers a raw and deeply personal exploration of transformation and identity. Leah opens up about the many lives she feels she's lived—from hustling for career success in her “girl boss” era, to building a thriving online coaching brand rooted in manifestation and new age spirituality, to ultimately stepping away from it all in pursuit of deeper truth and purpose. With striking honesty, she shares how becoming a mother challenged her values and planted seeds that eventually led her to a faith-filled path. Leah describes her inner conflict with the pressures of social media, the spiritual tug-of-war she experienced in the coaching world, and the moment she felt called to read the Bible—an act that shifted her entire worldview. Now the host of the reimagined Bare Naked Soul podcast and founder of the faith-inspired brand Clothes and Praise, Leah discusses what it means to embody love, walk in grace, and live for something greater than self. This episode is a heartfelt reminder that even the most ordinary-feeling lives are filled with divine purpose—and that choosing transformation often means giving up ego to embrace something eternal.Website-www.leahpardee.com https://www.instagram.com/itsleahpardee/

Send us a textWhat does it truly mean to be transparent? Beyond the clichéd calls for governmental transparency lies a more intimate, challenging question: are we transparent with ourselves? In this deeply personal exploration, we journey through the layers of transparency—from governmental institutions down to our own hearts.Transparency isn't just about transmitting light—it's about allowing that light to shine through without scattering, without distortion. When we wear masks, both literal and figurative, we block our authentic light from reaching others. The journey toward true transparency begins with uncomfortable self-reflection and a willingness to be vulnerable, even when it feels threatening.Through a powerful personal story of family reconciliation, we witness how one courageous moment of vulnerability can create a ripple effect, opening space for others to share their deeply held truths. After decades of believing my family had open communication, one child's brave revelation about their feelings regarding my potential reconciliation with my husband unleashed a cascade of honest sharing that transformed our family dynamic overnight. As Mother Teresa wisely noted, "Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway." This vulnerability—though frightening—is the gateway to authentic connection and healing. By removing our masks layer by layer, we create possibilities for genuine transformation, not just in ourselves but in everyone around us.Whether you're struggling with family relationships, seeking personal growth, or simply tired of wearing masks, this episode offers a compassionate invitation to take that first small step toward transparency. Your courage might just become the catalyst someone else needs to begin their own healing journey. Listen now and discover how being truly seen—first by yourself and then by others—can create the freedom you've been seeking all along.Support the show
