For the past few Sundays, we have been traversing through Proverbs. Looking at God's wisdom and applying it to our everyday interactions. This past Sunday, we discussed What God Says About Friendships. God created us to do life in community with one another. To not walk alone though the hardships that life bring us. His design in friendship is beautiful. But in our fallenness that beauty He made, can easily be tarnished. Proverbs gives us many insights into how to handle friendships with wisdom. God says that we should love our friends with sincerity, give them encouragement and correction when needed, and to seek after righteousness. Join us in the newest sermon of the series, What God Says About Friendship.
final week of Jesus' life. This Palm Sunday, we are beginning with true belief, and how that belief in Jesus shows in our lives. As we enter Holy Week, we begin with looking at Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where the crowds placed palm leaves down as Jesus entered. They celebrated Him, acknowledging that He was there, in the name of the Lord. In the days to follow they did not yet know what would come. As their belief in the Savior was evident in their celebration, we see how our belief shows through our lives. When we honor Jesus as king, bear witness to Jesus' work, and pursue Jesus' presence others will see Christ in us. Join us this Easter season as we walk through a new series. Tune in to the first sermon of the series, Belief that is Seen.

Today we will continue our series, Daniel: Clash of Cultures, looking at another courageous story of Daniel and his friends in Babylon. When faced with the direct command to bow down to a false image by King Nebuchadnezzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bend their knee to a fake god. They had the courage to refuse and remain loyal to God alone; even if their refusal meant a sentence to death. Through the bravery of these young men, we see how courageous faith rejects idolatrous worship. As we fight in our present culture to stick close to our faith and values, we should reject cultural idolatry, refuse to compromise, and trust in God's deliverance. Tune in and hear how the courageous faith of these men allowed them to stay loyal to God despite living in a sinful, idolatrous society.
We are continuing in our series, Emmanuel: God with Us, looking at the incarnation of Jesus and its impact on the world. In a world that is very self-centered, as the body of Christ, who have been called to humility—it is vital that we reject this mentality and strive to put on humility. It is not always easy to deny ourselves and put others before our own desires, but when we are struggling with this we can look to the example of Jesus. Jesus led by His example of humility; we can follow Jesus' example of humility in our personal lives. To embody humility in our own lives we can consider our position, consider our mindset, and consider our example. Join us today in the latest message of the series, The Incarnation of Humility, and see how we can follow Jesus' example.
Today we are continuing our message series, Thy Kingdom Come: His Reign in Our Lives. We will discover how the Lord asks for our full allegiance and commitment to His kingdom. Letting go and giving up control is a difficult task. In our walks with Christ, this is what He asks of us, to allow Him to have full control of our lives as He guides us in the way He has paved. Jesus asks some thought-provoking questions in the gospel of Mark, which will call us to examine our hearts and ask ourselves the questions, "Who is Jesus to me? Have I fully surrendered to Him?" Listen to the newest message of the series, Choose Ye This Day, to learn how Jesus challenges our religious assumptions and reorients our family loyalty.
In our series, Asking for a Friend series, we'll answer tough questions and provide you with gospel-centered answers that you can share with a friend. We all have questions, but sometimes, navigating the answers to cultural issues through the lens of the Gospel can be challenging. How often should I be reading the Bible? How can I read the Bible and not get bored? While few people within God's church would admit this, many might ask this question. Listen to our newest messages, Finding Yourself in the Ultimate Story, and understand how God's Word provides the way of blessing.
Why do you do the things that you do? Think about it. Is it because someone you respect taught you? Are you wearing something you thought looked good on someone else? Have you started taking on hobbies your friends have? It's pretty common, we become the people we surround ourselves with regularly. The same thing happens within the church! We don't stay stagnant individuals. But what is actually happening? What is the important of the church? What does God do in the church? Today we continue our series called The Essentials: Why Truth Matters. In this series we are going to seek to lay down and identify the essential truths, the basic doctrines of the Christian faith growing through together one of the oldest affirmed creeds of the Christian church, The Apostles' Creed. Through an investigation into Ephesians, we see how scripture enforces the statement “I believe in… the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints” and teaches us about the role of church. When those who follow Jesus as Lord come together, we start to grow in specific ways. Join us for our newest message of the series, I Believe in the holy Universal Church, and learn how God's church is where God's people grow in God's image.
Our current culture preaches worship of self, “you do you” or “live your truth,” elevating ourselves over everything else. With messages like this pressuring us all over our day to day lives, we often question (intentionally or unintentionally), why should I worship God and no other? Today we continue our series called The Essentials: Why Truth Matters. In this series we are going to seek to lay down and identify the essential truths, the basic doctrines of the Christian faith growing through together one of the oldest affirmed creeds of the Christian church, The Apostles' Creed. We look to Psalm 33 to reinforce our creed statement; “I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth.” Join us for our newest message of the series, I Believe in God the Father Almighty, and learn how God our father gives us every reason to worship Him!
How would you define wealth? There are many different ways for us to calculate true financial wealth. To each person, it may look different. Truth is, we covet. We always long for a little bit more than what we have. It's easy for people to make an idol of money and wealth. This love of money, and the accumulation of wealth, has caused temptation within the human heart since currency began being used - including Christians! We conclude our series, Church: Why Bother?, where together we learn about the beautiful design God created for YOU and His church. The Apostle Paul addresses this issue head-on, calling God's people to view money differently than the world and gives us multiple charges to avoid the temptation and to seek something far greater, true life! In regard to money & a fulfill Christian life, let's answer the question; what does it look like to finish well? Listen to our final message of the series, Finishing Well, and make the choice to finish well when we focus our lives on pursuing Jesus Christ.

What happens when we neglect the central reality of the church? What occurs when we discount, ignore, or abandon the Gospel? As we study Paul's letter to Timothy, we're looking at the church itself; how to stay focused on “making sure the main thing is the main thing” rather than taking eyes off what is truly most important. Why should we hold fast to the Gospel? We continue our series, Church: Why Bother?, where together we learn about the beautiful design God created for YOU and His church. Everything in the church comes back to and must center around the good news of Jesus Christ. In fact, when the church departs from the Gospel, trouble abounds. So, this letter, and this passage specifically, is setting up the whole book to tell us to hold fast to the gospel. Listen to our newest message of the series, Hold the Gospel, and truly hold fast onto the lifesaving Gospel!
Christmas traditions are great! But how many of us have found ourselves at some point in a holiday season carrying on “the tradition,” but the reality is very different? Traditions sometimes can cause us to focus on the “joy” of Christmas while ignoring the harder or more painful parts of the season. This only makes the season harder and more challenging. We're told, “it's the most wonderful time of the year,” but what do we do when it doesn't feel like it? We continue our Christmas series, Fulfilled: His Promise Kept, Our Longing Met, where we will discover how Jesus is the fulfillment of God's promises to us. While exploring scripture that is not part of the “traditional” Christmas texts, we're going to see, it has a lot to say to us when dealing with the painful parts of the holiday season and our lives in general. Jesus' birth doesn't ignore the reality of pain or suffering, it highlights it. Listen to our fourth message in our series, A Blue Christmas, and embrace that in Jesus, our mourning turns to hope!
