Pastor Austin Medley concludes our Philippians series with a message titled "Standing Firm with Joy" from Philippians 4:2-9. He reminds us that unity and reconciliation reflect the credibility of the Gospel, while prayer and thanksgiving lead us into God's peace. We are encouraged to focus our minds on what is true, honorable, and praiseworthy, and to put these truths into practice as we live with lasting joy and faith.
In this message from Philippians 4, we look at what joy looks like in real life. Paul reminds us that joy is not found in perfect circumstances. Joy is found in Christ. Even while writing from prison, Paul calls the church to rejoice and shows how joy in Christ affects every part of life. Joy helps us stand firm. Joy shapes our relationships. Joy leads us to prayer instead of panic. Joy trains our thoughts. Joy teaches contentment. Joy becomes generous. If you have been carrying anxiety, bitterness, fear, pressure, or the weight of trying to control everything, this message is an encouragement to bring it all before the Lord and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind. Scripture: Philippians 4:1–23 Thank you for listening. Share this message with someone who needs to be reminded that Christ is enough in every season. #CentralValleyChurch #Philippians4 #JoyInRealLife #Faith #Prayer #Jesus
Thank you for listening to this week's message from Central Valley Church! In Week 3 of our Finding Joy series, we look at Philippians 3 and the joy that comes from pursuing Jesus. Paul reminds us that our confidence is not in the flesh, our works, or our accomplishments, but in Christ alone. Jesus is our righteousness, our reward, our Savior, and our Deliverer. Because of Him, we can press on toward the goal and find true joy in knowing Him more.

Her work was born not from theory, but from lived experience and deep healing. After surviving childhood abuse, depression, addiction, and profound loss, Joy spent over 25 years searching outside herself for relief, until she discovered what truly changed everything: meditation, yogic science, Ayurveda, and nervous-system regulation. Through these practices, Joy didn't just heal; she reclaimed her voice, her peace, and her joy. That journey became the foundation of her life's work and the legacy she is building.Today, Joy is a Chopra Center-trained Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor, global meditation leader, and 5x international bestselling author. Through her signature Free Your Mind Through Joy™ method, she guides individuals, families, educators, and communities to transform trauma into resilience, self-trust, and embodied well-being.The Joy I've Found is more than a business, it's a sanctuary and a movement rooted in a simple truth: we cannot expect parents and caregivers to support children's emotional needs without supporting them first. Joy's work centers around those carrying invisible burdens, often without the tools, community, or care they deserve. For over 15 years, Joy worked at the intersection of healing, education, and systems change, partnering with organizations like CASA OC and Fulfillment Fund LA to mentor and advocate for youth. She believes joy is not something we chase, it's something we remember. And when individuals heal, families shift. When families shift, systems change. This week, we continued our Finding Joy series with “Joy in Humility.” Through Philippians 2, we were reminded that Jesus is our greatest example of humility. He humbled Himself, served others, and was obedient to the point of death on a cross. Because of this, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. True joy is found when we take on the mindset of Christ, walk in unity, serve others, and choose humility over selfish ambition. Humility is a choice, not just a feeling, and as we follow Jesus' example, God works in us and through us.
In his message, "Indestructible Joy," Pastor Bob draws from Philippians 1 and Ecclesiastes to explore the difference between fleeting happiness and the deep, lasting joy that comes from walking with Christ. Using Paul's example of rejoicing even from prison, he shows that true joy is not dependent on circumstances but is rooted in our relationship with Jesus. Reflecting on Ecclesiastes 3, Pastor Bob reminds us that God makes everything beautiful in its time and gives each of us a purpose in every season of life.
Wrapping up our series “Got Joy?”, today Pastor Ira teaches on Joy in Contentment. Our world is driven by dis-contentment. Desiring what we don't have is a destructive force in our society and our lives personally. We overwork, overspend and over stress because of this dynamic. In order to overcome this, we must learn Jesus' secret of contentment. Key Scriptures:Philippians 4:10–23, 3:8, Jeremiah 32:17, 2 Corinthians 10:5
Continuing our series “Got Joy?”, Pastor Chase teaches if you want joy, joy is found in our Obedience. Paul is calling us to Action. It's your call are you ready to start climbing the ladder in your walk with God. We are going to challenge you to roll up your sleeves and get to work and when you do God will start to work within you. There will be challenges and the enemy will try to bring you down. But if your attitude is the same as that of Christ Jesus who demonstrated his life through humility and obedience, your obedience will pay off in your life shining like the stars and you will be able to pour your life into others. Key Scriptures:Philippians 2:12-18,1:6, Romans 8:28, Colossians 3:1-3,5-17
Continuing our series “Got Joy?”, today Pastor Kuulei teaches how the Apostle Paul continues in his exhortation to the church at Philippi in Chapter 2, verses 5-11. After pleading with the Philippians in verses 1-4 to walk in unity, love, and like-mindedness, Paul declares the only way to do this is to adopt the mindset of Christ… HUMILITY and the willingness to put others AHEAD of ourselves. He then embarks on a REMARKABLE passage describing the LIFE, DEATH, AND EXALTATION of Christ, pointing to Him as the only One who could save us.Key Scriptures:Philippians 2:1-11, Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 2:17-18, 12:2, 1 Peter 5:6

Three reactions.Herod was threatened. The religious leaders were indifferent. But the wise men were filled with overwhelming joy.The difference wasn't the star—it was the heart.Joy didn't come from position, knowledge, or power. It came from recognizing who Jesus truly is.This week, we're reminded that real joy isn't found in circumstances or celebrations—it's found in encountering Christ. The question is simple: How will you respond when you see Him?#StarstruckSeries#JoyJoy #Matthew2 #TrueJoy #ChristmasJoy #WiseMenStillSeekHim #aHeartthatbeatsforJesusbeatsforOthers#itisaONEBEATFamdayFundaySonday!(Credits to the original artists and owners of the mediaused. What if the joy you've been searching for isn't found in circumstances—but in discovering the purpose God had for you before you were even born? ABOUT THE MESSAGEIn Part 3 of the Joy series, Pastor Mark Stermer reminds us that Joy often comes through pain, purpose, and promise. Just as the anguish of childbirth gives way to overwhelming joy, God brought great joy to all people through the birth of Jesus Christ. This message traces the joy announced by angels, fulfilled in Christ, and mirrored in our own lives as we discover that every person is born with divine purpose. Before you were formed, God knew you; before you lived a day, He designed you for His glory. In a world that pressures us to be someone else, we're reminded to be who God uniquely created us to be—living for Him, not ourselves. Come be refreshed by the joy that comes from knowing you were born on purpose, for a purpose! Paul reminds us to celebrate what God is doing in others and trust He can bring victory in our own story too. Real joy isn't about perfection; it's about seeing God's hand in every situation. Biblical joy transcends mere happiness, existing as a supernatural manifestation of God's character that remains constant regardless of circumstances. As a fruit of the Spirit, true joy cannot be manufactured through human effort but comes through a deep connection with God. This divine joy persists even during trials and difficulties, serving as a powerful testimony to others. By staying connected to the Holy Spirit and maintaining focus on God's presence, believers can experience and share this transformative, contagious joy with those around them.
King David's dance before the Ark of the Covenant demonstrates the pure, uninhibited joy found in God's presence. The Ark contained symbols of God's provision, authority, and guidance through the manna, Aaron's staff, and the Ten Commandments. David's jubilant celebration stemmed from remembering God's faithfulness throughout his journey from shepherd to king. To experience similar joy, we must prioritize repentance, fellowship, prayer, worship, and Scripture study. This joy becomes transformative, bringing healing, freedom, and restoration while empowering us to share it with others.

Many entertainers have passed and their careers were cut short to our estimation as their fans. There were a few who came to mind, but I chose this one based on the connection throughout childhood. Peep who I talked about. Lastly, for the fellas, how would you be if your lady of interest wanted to take on the hobbies that you did? To show love yes, but literally doing something just because you do. How would you feel about that? Welcome to The Lindsey Anderson Show! In today's episode, I'm excited to talk with Kevin Surface, a renowned entrepreneur, innovator, and speaker. Kevin and I dive deep into the connection between joy and success, how this approach shapes both achievement and personal fulfillment, and why embracing joy in everyday tasks can lead to greater success in your business and personal growth.Guest IntroductionKevin Surface is the former CEO of Sirius Energy, an innovator in green building materials, and the father of the virtual assistant technology that led to Siri and Alexa. With 94 worldwide patents, including over a dozen in the virtual assistant and voice user interface space, Kevin is a true pioneer. Under his leadership, Sirius Energy was recognized as a leader in green building technologies and earned accolades such as Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year. As a speaker and author, he focuses on joy, success, and personal transformation through mindset shifts. He's passionate about spreading the message that finding joy in everyday moments is key to unlocking maximum success in life and business, especially for business owners looking to scale their businesses.Train Your Brain for Joy (and Millions) - Key TakeawaysThe Power of Joy: Joy isn't just about big wins. It's about finding joy in the small moments every day—whether it's at work, home, or during challenging tasks. Embracing this mindset is essential for business owners looking to grow and scale their business.Happiness vs. Joy: Happiness is a state of being, but joy is found in the little moments throughout the day that lead to bigger successes. This shift in mindset is crucial for those in business.Choosing Your Mindset: We have the power to control how we perceive tasks. When we approach tasks with joy, even those that seem difficult or unappealing, we set ourselves up for greater success in both our personal and professional lives.Joy in Parenting and Relationships: The concept of “joy moments” extends beyond work—it applies to parenting and relationships, finding joy even when things don't go as planned. This is especially important for entrepreneurs balancing business growth with personal life.Momentum and Transformation: Focusing on joy each day creates momentum that positively impacts all areas of life, from business to personal relationships. For business owners looking to scale their business, this mental shift can be a game changer. The Joy-Success CycleKevin shares how he developed the "Joy Success Cycle," where small moments of joy throughout the day lead to greater success.By training your mind to find joy in every task, you can shift away from negativity and build a more positive, successful life. This is key to maintaining a high-performing mindset as you grow your business. The cycle isn't about denying negative emotions; it's about choosing to approach the 99% of everyday tasks with positivity, which is essential for entrepreneurs aiming to thrive.Key Quotes"We get to choose to live our lives both at work and at home in the way we choose, in the way we control fully.""It's not about the big, massive wins. It's about tiny little moments of joy leading to more success.""You can't achieve maximum success if you're complaining about every task—joy leads to success.""You can control how you feel about any task. It's your choice to live with negativity or to choose joy.""Every little task completed brings joy—it's not just about big accomplishments."Resources MentionedKevin's Website:

Joy is a discipline, you have to light the fire before you feel the warmth. But once the flame of joy is lit it glows bright. The arrival of Jesus brings joy to the world!
Pastor Trenton Johnson | December 22, 2024 The post Joy | Joy has Come/Experiencing Joy appeared first on New Hope Legacy.
The joy of Jesus Christ is meant to be something that overflows. It is meant to be a joy to the world.
Joy in the heart of a believer comes from God and spreads through us into the world around us.
Before joy is an experience, it's a discipline but joy MUST account for pain and sorrow. If our joy can only exist in the absence of suffering, it's not true joy.
Joy is more than a feeling. It's a virtue. And it's something we can cultivate. We live into joy when we encounter who or what matters most to us. It's associated with our life's deepest yearnings and connection. This December, we're celebrating Advent with you by offering four guided meditations by Dr. Pam King—considering how to cultivate the Advent virtues of hope, peace, joy, and love into our lives this year. We'd be grateful if you considered the Thrive Center in your year-end giving. Traditional Worship | Bishop Bob Hayes | The signs of Christmas are everywhere! Trees are trimmed, Christmas lights are shining, nativity scenes are on display, and Christmas carols fill the air. Each year, as we sing the carols of Christmas, we are retelling the story of Jesus' birth. These songs remind us of the hope, peace, joy and love that come with the arrival of the Messiah, and it is through these songs that we rediscover the wonder of Christmas. This year, as we sing, may we be reminded to “Repeat the sounding joy!” not just for the Christmas season, but always.
