Welcome to the weekly MormonNewsRoundup where Al & Dives ruminate on the great and spacious Beehive!
Throwback Thursday to Episode 32 — one of the early, defining moments of the channel. This was the first time Radio Free Mormon joined the podcast, back when the show was still audio-only and just starting to find its voice. In this episode, we covered a wide range of topics that sparked a lot of discussion and reflection later on.We talked about David Archuleta stepping back from the Church, a LDS meetinghouse being repurposed into a food bank, and broader questions about church growth in Canada based on census data. This video pulls together the key moments from that episode so you don't have to dig through the full two-hour conversation. If you're new here, this is a good snapshot of where things started—messy, interesting, and evolving quickly. Thanks for watching, and enjoy the throwback.Full Episode: https://youtu.be/3Zdgt-hVtZUPlease consider making a donation by joining our Patreon https://www.patreon.com/MormonNewsRoundup Email: kolob@mormonnewsroundup.org Website: https://mormonnewsroundup.org/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mormonnewsroundup Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mormon_news_roundup/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093511869924 X: https://twitter.com/NewsMormon New episodes LIVE every Sunday and Monday nights at 9:30PM ESTPlease like and subscribe and hit the notifications bell. Started off with some personal stuff as I was watching events unfolding outside my window in the RV park. Then got to Radio Free Geneva and the comments from Frank Turek and Braxton Hunter and others on a panel a while back. Went through the Scriptures that had been cited in the question they responded to... but never touched. Then we listened to a William Lane Craig clip on how humans "co-actualize" the world with God.

The Imperial Media wants you to believe that Iranian society is a binary - either the people all yearn for freedom and regime change, or they are all religious fanatics shouting "death to America!"We do not trade in binaries around here. It is time that we speak to someone who actually lives there and understands the Western Media Apparatus. To that end we are joined by Sarah In Tehran, a media studies graduate who works in documentary film, to discuss rabid zionist monarchists and the media bias they promote, what the conversations in Iran are, and what actually happened with the Women, Life, Freedom movement in 2022. The amount of imperial propaganda being pumped into Iran by outlets like Iran International is truly prodigious and clearly resembles the Radio Free cold war model. In 1968, a group of young Indianapolis broadcasters made history — they built their own radio station from scratch, without a license, and dared the FCC to stop them. They didn't call it pirate radio; they called it bootleg. Co-founders Steve Everitt and Don Worsham tell the inside story of Radio Free Naptown.
