Send us your feedback — we're listeningJohn 6 : 35 — Bread of Life : Freedom from Worry and LackScripture (NIV)“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'” — John 6 : 35In a world chasing security, Jesus offers something deeper than comfort—He offers Himself. John 6 : 35 declares that He alone satisfies the restless heart and the anxious mind. When fear of lack rises, the Bread of Life reminds us that Heaven's supply never runs dry. Across Indonesia, Ethiopia, Turkey, and Argentina, believers lift empty hands to a generous God. He fills not only the stomach but the soul, teaching us to trust more and fear less. At midday, we turn from worry to worship and remember: Christ is enough.Paragraph 1 – Context Modern life is built on striving—more work, more wealth, more control—yet still we hunger. John 6 : 35 reveals the answer that anxiety cannot find: Jesus Himself is our provision. When economies shake and plans unravel, His promise remains unchanged. The Bread of Life feeds faith where fear once ruled.Paragraph 2 – Reflection Worry says, I must provide. Faith whispers, He already has. In every nation and every circumstance, Christ invites us to come, believe, and be filled. True security is not the absence of need but the presence of Jesus. When we seek first His kingdom, lack loses its power.Paragraph 3 – Intercession & Vision We pray for believers under economic pressure in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Turkey, and Argentina. May their daily bread be more than food—may it be faith. Let contentment replace comparison, gratitude replace fear, and generosity overflow as a witness to the world.Prayer PointsPray for peace for those facing financial anxiety today.Ask God to meet every need according to His riches in Christ.Pray that believers trust Jesus as their true provider.Intercede for families battling fear of lack and uncertainty.Declare that the Bread of Life satisfies every soul hunger.Pray for jobs, resources, and wisdom to steward provision well.Ask for gratitude to rise above fear of tomorrow.Pray that generosity becomes a testimony of faith.Lift up nations suffering foodSupport the showFor more inspiring content, visit RBChristianRadio.net — your home for daily devotionals, global prayer, and biblical encouragement for every season of life. Let's be real: there's nothing atypical about “atypical anorexia.” In fact, it's one of the most common eating disorder presentations—and yet it's still misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and too often ignored. In this episode, I'm joined by Registered Dietitian and eating disorder specialist Emma Townsin (@food.life.freedom) to break down what atypical anorexia actually is, why the name is a problem, and how weight stigma keeps so many people from getting the care they deserve. We talk about what happens when restrictive eating shows up in people who don't fit the “textbook” thin ideal, how BMI gatekeeping plays out in treatment settings, and what needs to change in how we diagnose and support people across all body sizes. This one's for anyone who's ever been told they're “not sick enough”—and for every provider ready to challenge that harmful narrative. ABOUT EMMA TOWNSIN, RD Emma supports her clients to take the stress out of food. Emma's unique method focuses on reframing how you think about food, building connection with your body and feeling confident in your food choices. So, instead of food controlling you, food supports you to live the life you want. Combining her skills as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor, Emma supports people experiencing stressful eating such as binge eating or uncomfortable emotional eating and those who want to feel good around food after long term dieting. On Tuesday 13 September 2022, all Mahsa Amini has planned is a day shopping in Tehran. Her birthday is next week. But she is arrested as she comes out of the subway – the Guidance Patrol deem her hijab inadequate. On Friday she is pronounced dead. By Sunday, women have taken to the streets across Iran, setting their headscarves on fire and cursing the Supreme Leader. Months later, workers down their tools and businesses close. The battle cry everywhere: Women, Life, Freedom. This isn't a passing protest wave; something has changed irrevocably.  Arash Azizi guides us through Iran ablaze, history being made in real time. From an International Women's Day celebrated inside Iran's most notorious prison to mass strikes in Kurdistan, ordinary Iranians are taking risks to fight for a better future. Even as the regime spills blood in retaliation, Iranians have not given up. Today one thing's clear: no Supreme Leader can turn the clock back. In 2022, Jina Mahsa Amini died in police custody after having been arrested because her headscarf was too loose. A wave of protest began in Iran - the protest cry echoed through the cities: ‘Zan, zendegi, azadi.' ‘Woman, life, freedom.' Although the protests might have quieted down in the media, the precarious situation has not changed. What is the current situation in Iran, especially for women? Is there any hope for the people seeking freedom in Iran? And how does the Western world view the protests? Iranian-born Sanam Naraghi Anderlini answers these and other questions. She is founder and CEO of the International Civil Society Action Network (ICAN). Through ICAN she spearheads the Women's Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL) comprising independent women-led organizations active in 40 countries globally, preventing violence and promoting peace, rights and pluralism. The death of Mahsa Jina Amini at the hands of the Islamic Republic's “morality police” in September 2022 lit a fuse on a fervent global protest movement. Jina's crime was wearing an “improper” headscarf in public. The slogan, “Woman, Life, Freedom,” which first emerged in the fight for Kurdish equality, was used by thousands of brave, defiant women in Iran (along with male supporters), who called for an end to oppression, discrimination, tyranny, and dictatorship. Eighteen months later, the Iranian government has increased video surveillance and morality police patrols, imposed even harsher penalties for female disobedience, and leaned even further into brutal torture methods and daily executions. Meanwhile, Ali Khamenei's administration floods the population with propaganda and conspiracy theories. Julian talks to Iranian human rights activist and former BBC World Service reporter, Negin Shiraghaei, about the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, which she says remains active and unstoppable. In this episode, School of International Service professor Shadi Mokhtari joins Big World to discuss the history of protests in Iran, the unprecedented international reaction to Mahsa Amini's death, and the greater impact of the Woman, Life, Freedom protests. Over a year has passed since Mahsa Amini was detained and died in Iran after being detained by Iran's morality police for improperly wearing a hijab in September 2022. Her death sparked massive protests around the world and was the catalyst for the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran. Mokhtari begins our conversation by providing a brief background on Iran's long history of protests (1:51). Mokhtari also describes the 2022 Woman, Life, Freedom protests (8:59) and discusses the key grievances raised by the protesters (16:33). How did the Iranian diaspora respond to these protests (18:04)? Did the protests help to unite Iranians or did it cause further divides (30:22)? Mokhtari answers these questions and more. Mokhtari ends our conversation by discussing how the Woman, Life, Freedom protests will be viewed in Iran in the future (33:38). In the “Take 5” segment (28:14), Mokhtari answers the question: What things would need to change before we see meaningful political change in Iran?

As we continue our sermon series around rethinking our lives, we look today at the idea of finding freedom in forgiveness. God has called and commanded us as forgiven people to forgive. No matter what has happened to each of us, we can never forgive anyone more than God has forgiven us. You see, forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender, an offense, or a debt, and true forgiveness does not bring other people who have nothing to do with the sin into the situation. True forgiveness makes the offender feel at ease and helps the sinner forgive themselves as you have forgiven them. God wants us to understand and be encouraged to walk in His full power and presence through our freedom in forgiveness. What stands out to you as a significant freedom in being forgiven? How do you need to walk out a life of forgiveness moving forward? Who do you need to forgive even though they may not be seeking your forgiveness? If you've got questions about Jesus and living our forgiveness, then connect with us today. We'd love to take time to answer any questions you might have and spend time with you in prayer.
