(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Indonesian Christian leaders urge government to protect religious liberty Religious leaders in Indonesia are calling on the government there to protect religious freedom. This comes after a string of attacks on Christian buildings in the Southeast Asian country.  The Conference of Indonesian Catholic Bishops said, “Any act of intimidation, violence, or unilateral restriction of religious activities violates the law and undermines the fundamental values of life together as citizens of the same nation.” Indonesia is not currently on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. However, it has appeared on that list in previous years. Anglican Church of Nigeria horrified by lesbian bishop in Wales The Anglican Church of Nigeria cut ties with the Anglican Church of Wales over its election of an openly lesbian archbishop named Cherry Vann who is in a sexual relationship with Wendy Diamond. Rev. Henry Ndukuba leads the Anglican Church in Nigeria. He said, “The Church of Nigeria believes that this moment calls for prayer for the Church of Wales, hoping that the Church of England will not follow in her steps. We should hold them in our prayers with a clear message that hope lies only in true repentance and godliness.” To its credit, The Anglican Church of Nigeria previously severed ties with the Episcopal Church in the United States over a similar situation.  2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” British pro-lifer targeted a third time for praying outside abortion mill Police in the United Kingdom are investigating a woman for praying outside an abortion mill. It's the third time police have gone after Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, Director of the March for Life UK, over her silent prayers. West Midlands Police previously arrested her twice. Vaughan-Spruce won a settlement over the wrongful arrests worth about $17,500. However, officials continue to target her. Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom International, said, “We will continue to robustly challenge this unjust censorship, and support Isabel's right to think and believe freely.” Could Supreme Court overturn homosexual marriage ruling? In the United States, Liberty Counsel recently asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case of a Christian county clerk. Kim Davis, the former Rowan County, Kentucky clerk, refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples. She was the first victim to be jailed and sued following the infamous 2015 Obergefell ruling. The Supreme Court ruling legalized faux same-sex marriage nationwide. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Kim Davis' case underscores why the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn the wrongly decided Obergefell v. Hodges opinion because it threatens the religious liberty of Americans who believe that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman.” U.S. debt hits $37 trillion The U.S. national debt hit $37 trillion for the first time, according to a Tuesday report from the Treasury Department. The national debt is projected to reach 99% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product this year which is the measure of the total economic activity within a country. The Peter G. Peterson Foundation noted that the debt amounts to $280,000 per household in America and is growing at over five billion dollars per day. Fewer Americans drink alcohol A survey from Gallup found that the percentage of Americans who use alcoholic beverages fell to a record low of 54 percent. Young adults are even less likely to drink alcohol at 50 percent.  And for the first time, over 50 percent of U.S. adults say drinking one or two alcoholic drinks a day is bad for one's health. That number is up from 28 percent in 2015. Young adults are even more likely to say drinking is bad for their health at 66 percent. Gallup noted, “Declines in alcohol consumption do not appear to be caused by people shifting to other mood-altering substances.” Answers in Genesis announces Truth Traveler attractions in Pigeon Forge & Branson And finally, Answers in Genesis is opening two new Bible attractions, one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and the other in Branson, Missouri.  The Truth Traveler attractions feature a 5D experience that blends cutting-edge virtual reality, motion seating, and sensory effects to transport you through pivotal moments in Biblical history. A current movement repeats some of the errors of the different doctrine Timothy dealt with in Ephesus. Here is All You Need To Know About The Hebrew Roots Movement. See also Answers In Genesis. Across the world and in many ancient and modern cultures one finds stories of the ancient flood.  Some are similar to the Biblical account.  A credible scholarly website is “Answers in Genesis.”  One can find an article at this website entitled, “Flood Legends.”  Here's the link to this article - https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/flood-legends/flood-legends/  In this article it states that … “Did you know that stories about a worldwide flood are found in historic records all over the world? According to Dr. Duane Gish in his popular book, “Dinosaurs by Design,” there are more than 270 such stories, most of which share a common theme and similar characters.  So many flood stories with such similarities surely come from the Flood of Noah's day.” (White, Dr. Monty. “Flood Legends: The Significance of a World of Stories Based on Truth.” AnswersinGenesis. Nov. 7, 2024. https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/flood-legends/flood-legends/)   It is not surprising that this fact is used to conclude that the flood must have been worldwide; the flood we know so well in the Bible covered the whole earth.  The problem is there is NO scientific evidence that conclusively shows the flood was worldwide.  That it is worldwide is based many times upon the English translation of the Bible without taking into account the original Hebrew.  It only makes sense that the flood being worldwide can not be based upon the flood legends and stories that are found worldwide and in many diverse cultures.  The reason is simple as is stated in the article found at “Answers in Genesis.”  “The reason for these flood stories is not difficult to understand. When we turn to the history book of the universe, the Bible, we learn that Noah's descendants stayed together for approximately 100 years, until God confused their languages at Babel (Genesis 11:1–9). As these people moved away from Babel, their descendants formed nations based primarily on the languages they shared in common. Nov. 7, 2024. https://answersingenesis.org/the-flood/flood-legends/flood-legends/)   The Bible says there were only 8 people left after the flood.  Moreover, the presence of humankind was regulated to the area of Noah's day.  Humankind was not the global in Genesis 6.  Humankind was just beginning to expand and the flood destroyed that expansion.  God started all over again with Noah and his family.  Thus, the story of the flood was passed down from generation to generation from one family.  Humankind expanded and it spread across the earth along with the flood story.  So it is not surprising that we see the widespread flood legends across the world and that these legends have similar concepts as in the Bible but have also changed as per the culture and perspectives of each tribe and group and nation.  So, this does not prove the flood covered the entire earth.  It shows that the real historical event of the flood in Genesis was passed down to generation to generation among humankind as it spread and expanded across the world.  The issue however is not if the flood was global or local.  I find this discussion rather pointless and seemingly the wrong thing to focus on.  For me it is taking our eyes off the real question which is “why the flood – what was its purpose?”   Come and join us in lesson 20.  This lesson along with lesson 19 tries to get at this more critical question.  Here's the link to Lesson 19 -  https://lightofmenorah.podbean.com/e/genensis-19-gen-65-821-and-john-529-the-flood-testifies-of-yeshua/?token=37a93cda3394b88790b3d0359cde7ba7  When we focus on this question we find it has a lot to do with Yeshua and the sacrifice of the Lamb of God and the Cross and the Gospel.  This is the big picture and arguing over  global or local flood to me clouds the real issue the Lord is trying to teach us in His TORAH which means “teaching” and not law.   Rev. A few years ago the "Creation Community" lost a great spokesman, Dr. David Menton.  Professor for decades in Washington University (St. Louis) Medical School, and part of Answers In Genesis, his expertise in biological systems is greatly missed.  Dr. Scripture interviewed Dr. Menton in 2019; what we discussed is still totally relevant.

May 30, 2024 is a day that will live in infamy! Donald Trump became the first former President of the United States to be brought to court on felony charges and have a jury reach a verdict of guilty. Not to mention that this happened while he is currently running for President again and is the highest polling candidate.The ripple effects of this historical day will be felt indefinitely. The debates will rage over whether or not this was justice or merely political lawfare.In part 4, we cover the defense witnesses--such as they were. Trump decided not to testify. The judge's restrictions prevented a campaign finance law expert witness from testifying. After one paralegal briefly showed a chart, Robert Costello was the remaining witness.Costello's testimony resulted in the judge almost throwing out his testimony. Shenanigans or court decorum? You decide.Finally, the trial ended with closing arguments: Todd Blanche for the defense went first, and Joshua Steinglass for the prosecution followed. On Saturday, July 13, at a rally in Pennsylvania, former President Trump was giving an outdoor speech. Six minutes into it, gunshots were fired!The President felt one round whiz by his head.
