In a massive two-hour display of pure firearm autism, the Rimfire Radio crew attempts a live PowerPoint presentation on Rumble that predictably goes completely off the rails. The hosts kick things off by introducing Gatlab as "senile but butt-loaded" before transitioning into a deeply serious discussion about the tactical viability of fanny packs. The gear highlight of the night features a 130-year-old youth rifle saved from a literal garbage dump, which triggers a live "desk pop" video demonstration and pairs beautifully with Gatlab's tragic realization that he ruined his vintage tube-fed rifle by threading it for a suppressor. The show then derails into a chaotic centerfire detour where the guys aggressively debate whether ultra-short AR barrels under 10.5 inches are a viable home defense option or just loud toys designed for range retards. To wrap up the chaos, Dan brags about losing weight just to fit into his appendix holsters, while Dusky proudly flashes his nipples to the audience to celebrate his new tiger-stripe Beretta holster from Klecker Tactical. Finally, Dan cracks a joke about running up to police officers to scream about your gun collection, before the crew invites their remaining twenty viewers to come buy them drinks at the upcoming GOALS conference.

Episode 21, “Baffles, Booze & Bad Choices,” asks the hard questions: why rimfire mostly stops at .22, why we keep doing this show, and how much drinking is too much drinking before the wheels fully come off. Gat-Lab gets sucked into benchrest rimfire, learns some scope lessons, and blows out a ShiftZero PLA baffle, while ARDREW sights in the Ruger American Rimfire and Franklin Armory F17 before getting personally disrespected by the Bergara BMR. Dusky goes full holster goblin with Quiet Frog work, Beretta .380 testing, Hornofdaddy “science,” and bad testing done with great enthusiasm, while Dan contributes the powerful energy of having absolutely nothing. By the end, the captain, lawyer, doctor, and Not Sure have produced rimfire theory, centerfire detours, baffle carnage, questionable sobriety, and enough bad choices to make Episode 21 feel exactly as sharp as it deserves to be.

McClatchy has written that he “automatically rejects any poem with the word mother in it."To wrap up the live taping Richardson read a piece she wrote about a tree-planting she took her kids too after the 2013 Rim Fire, here is her poem “After Fire.” Rachel Richardson will be speaking at the Bay Area Book Festival on May 30th.
