I think that's very important.” — Rob“I think part of my philosophy is that I set my bar very high for my cows. The cows are the most important thing that I do.” — Rob“We've had these multi-generational relationships with ranchers who are in our local to regional area. Welcome to episode one of 'Love Stephen', featuring letters written from October 4th 1939 to January 10th 1940. As war breaks out in Europe, Stephen and his Black Watch battalion join the allied effort and we hear about the mundaneness of war, Stephens meeting with the Queen and his thirst for battle after encountering the enemy for the fist time on the front line. With the generous help of some friends - Dan and Nick at Smith and Western for the sound design and recording, mixing and mastering the show, actor Rupert Degas who plays Stephen, Ben Alden for designing the artwork, Newman Sorrenson and Rob Spencer for their help with the film, and my parents, Chris and Lucy, we've created this episode, but I need help with production costs to complete the rest of the season, which runs to six episodes. So, if you like this episode and want to hear more, please back the project by visiting gofundme.com/lovestephenpodcast, and with your help we can bring ‘Love Stephen', a unique story of war and love, to life. Thank you, I really appreciate the support. Ben

An oath is a promise to faithfully serve our country and our fellow citizens. This season: Rob Spencer, the former federal prosecutor who led the 9/11 case; Four-star Admiral William McRaven – a Navy SEAL for 37 years and the Commander of the US Joint Special Operations Command; Kathy Ruemmler, Enron prosecutor and White House Counsel to President Barack Obama; Joyce Vance, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama; Retired four-star Admiral Jim Stavridis, the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO …and many more honorable men and women who faithfully serve our country. Listen to season 2 of The Oath on September 10th.
On September 11, 2001, Assistant United States Attorney Rob Spencer sat in his Alexandria, Virginia office – five miles from the Pentagon – waiting to meet an FBI agent about a new extortion case. The al Qaeda attacks that day changed his life, as it changed the lives of so many people in this country. Rob, a career federal prosecutor with deep experience in national security cases, was tasked to lead the team of extraordinary prosecutors and agents from New York and Virginia who teamed up in the case against 9/11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person ever charged and convicted in a US courtroom for his role in those horrific attacks. Rob describes the investigation and prosecution of that remarkable, complex, and emotional case. Rob also discusses the prodigious efforts to reach out to victim families to give them a voice in the proceedings, and helps us to remember those we lost – and those we continue to lose – as a result of the 9/11 attacks. On This Week's Show.... Tim, Mike, and Josh welcome back long time friend of the show Rob Spencer to discuss the situation in Venezuela. Economic uncertainty, two people claiming to be the legitimate president – with the west backing one and China and Russia backing the other…it’s a mess. With threats of military intervention, we ask ourselves “should we intervene?” and “what exactly does intervening mean?”. All this is enough to give us a headache. Good thing our second topic is that perennially Canadian topic, privatization of health care. Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario (who Tim refers to as “Maple Trump”), wants to open the debate about allowing some privatization or private options in our health care system. While we sharpen our pitchforks and light our torches, we want to hear what you think. Drop us a comment below! Also Overheard: Wait your turn, Rob! Josh and Mike agree on something? Surely, this is the end of days. Meth-fueled sex romp? That’s a solid Tuesday for Rob. Mike will have to pick his favourite children. No raise, but you get a pizza party! Weekly WTF: Florida man bring a grenade into Taco Bell. With some help from Beer, Mac the Moose to #Make Moose Jaw Great Again The Mankato Meth Head or “How Tim Wants to Go Out”. We want to hear what you think! Don’t just yell angrily at whatever dumb thing Tim just said, or laugh derisively at one of Mike’s opinions! Write a comment in the comment section below, email us at info@twoandchange.ca, or find us on Facebook or Twitter! The more you comment, the easier it is for people to find our show. Remember, we have to justify this to our wives somehow….
