He didn't really take stand-up seriously until a house fire changed his perspective on his place in the scene. He started the Spacement open mic that got shut down because there were too many people, which created a fire hazard -- ironically. Now he's running a twice-monthly mic at Abide Coffeehouse in Wilkes-Barre. Ryan has been a performance coach for almost 20 years and has worked with the top athletes in the world like Kobe Bryant, Russell Wilson, and Serena Williams.
