Stern Pinball continues to evolve the arcade landscape by combining classic mechanical gameplay with modern digital features. The company's Insider Connected platform has become a central part of that evolution, allowing players to track achievements, earn badges, and compete across locations. At CES 2026, Stern highlighted how this system enhances both home and commercial play while showcasing two new titles that build on the company's long‑running legacy of licensed pinball machines.Insider Connected functions as a persistent profile system that follows players from machine to machine. By scanning in with a mobile device, players can save scores, unlock achievements, and participate in global leaderboards. The platform has become a defining feature of Stern's recent releases, supporting operators who want deeper engagement and players who enjoy long‑term progression. The Walking Dead Remastered on the Spike 3 PlatformOne of the major announcements this year is The Walking Dead Remastered, a refreshed version of a fan‑favorite machine originally released nearly a decade ago. The updated version includes a larger display, upgraded speakers, and new assets that incorporate actors from the television series, expanding the thematic immersion beyond what was possible in the original release. The remaster preserves the core layout and gameplay that made the machine popular while modernizing the presentation. The combination of updated hardware and newly available assets allows the game to feel familiar to longtime fans while offering a more polished and cinematic experience for new players.Star Wars: Fall of the EmpireStern also introduced Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, a new machine that expands on the company's previous Star Wars release from 2017. While the earlier game focused primarily on space‑based action, the new title explores a broader range of environments from the original trilogy. Players visit locations such as Hoth and Endor, accompanied by a wider selection of film clips and thematic callouts. The machine includes custom voice work from C‑3PO, adding authenticity to the experience. The expanded scope reflects Stern's goal of delivering a more complete representation of the Star Wars universe. The machine is designed to appeal to both dedicated fans and casual players by offering recognizable moments, varied gameplay, and a cohesive narrative structure.Availability and Model OptionsBoth The Walking Dead Remastered and Star Wars: Fall of the Empire are available now through Stern's dealer network and the company's website. The machines are offered in multiple configurations, including Pro and Premium models, with limited editions available based on demand. At the Sony State of Play, there was a new Digital Eclipse collection released for Rayman's 30th Anniversary - and I didn't get it on launch, going back on my word that their collections were now day one purchases. Steam Decks are now out of stock and Valve doesn't know when they'll be able to manufacture more. This is most likely because of the RAM shortage because AI companies have already ordered more RAM than factories can produce right now. Because of this, the Steam Machine and Steam Frame are also delayed and will not launch in the first quarter of 2026 like originally announced. Riot Games has laid off the majority of the team that built 2KXO two weeks after the game left early access. What is the actual plan for live service games to keep their teams after releasing the core product? Then we talk to Jamie at OLR about the new Stern Pinball release - Pokemon.

Pokémon Pinball is officially here, and this is my full breakdown after attending Stern Pinball's Media Day at the factory. This new Stern Pinball release is co-designed by Jack Danger and George Gomez and brings the largest entertainment IP in the world to modern pinball. That's a big swing. In this video, I'm sharing my firsthand experience playing Pokémon Pinball at Stern HQ, my initial impressions of the layout, shots, and overall gameplay, and my honest thoughts after having time to reflect on the flight home. Sometimes your opinion changes once the hype settles. Did that happen here? Let's talk about it. We'll cover: • Gameplay and shot layout • Accessibility for new players vs depth for enthusiasts • Theme integration and use of the Pokémon license • Early code impressions • How this compares to other recent Stern releases Designing a game around Pokémon is no small task. It's the biggest IP in the world, which means expectations are sky high. The question is: did Stern Pinball deliver a machine that satisfies longtime pinball fans while also bringing in a whole new audience? If you're into pinball machine reviews, Stern Pinball news, new pinball releases, or you're just curious how Pokémon translates to a modern pinball machine, this one's for you. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Is Pokémon Pinball going to be a massive hit? Did Stern get it right?

The first month of 2026 certainly brought us plenty of excitement in the pinball world, even though we didn't get any of the eagerly anticipated new game launches. So, join Jonathan from Pinball Magazine and Martin from Pinball News as they bring you all the details in the January 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast. After many months of inactivity, American Pinball jumped into the spotlight as the business was sold by previous owners, Aimtron. The new owner has been sharing his plans for the company with an ambitious production schedule and the need to rebuild trust in the brand. Those production plans took shape a few days later when a licensing deal with Planetary Pinball saw American Pinball secure the rights to build ‘re-imagined' versions of seven classic Williams/Bally titles. Find out when we might get to see the first of those.Stern Pinball traditionally launches their first ‘cornerstone' title of the year in early January so they can promote it at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Not this year though, as the game has been pushed back until at least February, with the Texas Pinball Festival in mid-March saying they will showcase the first publicly-available games. With no new Stern game to show and the company's current title, Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, not available in Europe, London's EAG Expo show needed something to lift the spirits of pinball fans. So, Jonathan and Martin sat down with Gary Stern and John Buscaglia to talk about Stern Pinball's plans, the state of the licensing business, how they plan to expand European sales, and much more, including a couple of their favourite recipes.Meanwhile, Jersey Jack Pinball have launched a new 3D Game Viewer tool to let you explore the Harry Potter Collectors Edition game close up and from every angle. You can even use Augmented Reality to see how one look in your home or gameroom. There are big changes taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Classic Playfield Reproductions downsize their business following the retirement of their President and co-founder. A month-long clearance sale has launched on their website too.To find out more, Jonathan and Martin interview co-founder and new President, Kevin Wayte, to explore the past two decades' rollercoaster ride of reproducing playfields, backglasses and plastic sets, and discover the plans for CPR's future. There's also news of new team members at Pedretti Gaming, the end of Predator sales, delivery plans for Alice Goes To Wonderland games, where you'll be able to see Hexa Pinball's new The Three Musketeers, a new tutorial video and software development kit from Multimorphic, plus details of what's going to be available at the upcoming Pinball at the Beach show in Florida.Get all this and so much more in the latest packed January 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.Download or stream it right now from your favourite podcast supplier. In this episode of The Flipside, we dive into one of the biggest conversations happening in pinball right now. There is a growing perception that boutique pinball manufacturers are offering more value than Stern Pinball, and we explore whether that perception is fair, exaggerated, or something Stern should be paying attention to. This is not a Stern bashing episode. Instead, we take a balanced and honest look at why many players feel boutique pinball offers more for the money, how Stern's size and scale may have unintentionally created a perception gap, and the difference between perceived value and real world execution. We also discuss why boutique companies can take creative risks that Stern simply cannot at volume, whether online pinball discourse is shaping opinions more than actual gameplay, and how community sentiment has shifted since 2023. This episode also highlights what Stern still does better than anyone in the industry, why their games dominate locations and home collections, and how being the market leader changes expectations from the pinball community. If you have ever wondered if Stern is getting boring, if boutique manufacturers are really offering more, or if pinball sentiment has shifted over the past few years, this conversation is for you. Whether you are a long time Stern fan, a boutique buyer, or someone new to the hobby trying to decide where to spend your money, this episode focuses on why the narrative exists, not just whether it is right or wrong. Let us know in the comments what you think. Is the Stern value gap real, or is it just internet perception?

Make a Logo on Fiverr Pepcom always serves as one of the best warm-ups to CES, and at CES 2026, the show floor once again delivered a dense mix of practical gear, ambitious concepts, and a few outright fun surprises. This second walk-through focused on the non-sponsored side of the event, digging into the kinds of products that quietly shape how we work, play, and recover from long days on the show floor. From serious Thunderbolt 5 connectivity to smart locks, recovery gadgets, and even pinball machines, Pepcom proved why it remains a must-stop before CES officially kicks into gear. Pluggable TBT-UDH2: A Thunderbolt 5 Desk Command Center At the Pluggable booth, the spotlight was on the TBT-UDH2 Thunderbolt 5 docking station, a vertically oriented dock designed for desks that are short on horizontal space but big on connectivity needs. It brings dual HDMI 2.1 support, multiple USB-C and USB-A ports at 5Gbps and 10Gbps, and power delivery to keep a laptop charged while driving a full workstation setup. The vertical design isn't just aesthetic—it's a practical solution for cramped setups, and it signals how Thunderbolt 5 is about to make high-bandwidth, single-cable desks the norm. Check out Plugable for when TBT-UDH2 is available. Amazfit ActiveMax: Big Screen, Long Battery, Sensible Price Amazfit showed off the ActiveMax smartwatch, a 51mm, Android-style wearable aimed squarely at people who want features without paying flagship prices. With up to 25 days of battery life, GPS tracking, health monitoring, and roughly 170 sports modes, it's clearly targeting the “do-everything” fitness crowd. At around $169, it positions itself as the kind of watch you can rely on daily—and even keep a second one charging—without worrying about premium-tier pricing. Get the Amazfit Activemax MyQ SecureView 3-in-1: Rethinking the Front Door MyQ expanded its smart-home ecosystem with the SecureView 3-in-1 Smart Lock, combining a deadbolt, camera, and doorbell into a single unit. It supports three ways to unlock—key, keypad, or face recognition—and integrates directly into the broader MyQ app experience. The real appeal here is control: see who's at the door, let in a delivery or a friend remotely, and keep everything logged in one place. At $279, it's a compelling all-in-one approach to modern front-door security without forcing a subscription just to use the basics. Get the MyQ 3-in-1 Doorbell LePro AMI is a 3D Soulmate LePro, known for creator lighting gear, showed two interesting pieces of its next generation. The LePro Ami is a prototype personal assistant with a screen, camera, sensors, and touch controls—clearly aimed at a future where lighting and creator tools are more interactive and context-aware. Alongside it, the TV1 Pro evolves the fold-out light concept with an AI microphone and AI-driven lighting designer. You can literally describe the lighting you want, and the device builds the scene for you—hands-free. It's a strong hint at where creator gear is heading: less fiddling with dials, more telling the gear what you want. The Eyeris Zen eye massager adds “headspace” style meditation features, adjustable heat, and pressure modes, turning it into more than just a massage tool. Alongside it, the Active Mini Thermacool massage gun introduces both heating and cooling for muscle recovery, while the Artemis LED light therapy mask offers a flexible, silicone-based approach to facial treatment. It's a reminder that CES 2026 isn't just about screens and chips—it's also about surviving long days in front of them. More at Renphro Navee UT5 Ultra X: Electric Scooters Go Aggressive Navee previewed the UT5 Ultra X electric scooter, a beast that pushes into motorcycle-like territory with a top speed around 45 mph, a powerful dual-motor setup, and serious climbing ability. It's not on sale yet, but it shows how the line between “scooter” and “light electric vehicle” keeps blurring. A slightly smaller sibling, the NT5 Ultra X, targets riders who want similar range and performance at a more moderate level. More on Navee Robots and Pinball: Because CES Still Has to Be Fun No Pepcom walk-through is complete without a little fun. A nimble, dog-like robot showed off acrobatics and personality, complete with a front display face and expressive movements. On the retro-cool side, Stern Pinball brought multiple machines, including newer releases, reminding everyone that physical, tactile entertainment still has a place even in an AI-soaked CES 2026. Beetlejuice is a massive win for Spooky Pinball, no debate there. But what does that success mean for the rest of the hobby? Are we now expecting more from every manufacturer, including the market leader, Stern Pinball? And the big question… does Stern even care? In this episode, we dive into the ripple effect Beetlejuice is having across pinball. Is Stern better off staying the course, or are boutique manufacturers proving that players want more value, more innovation, and more personality in every game? Does this shift the landscape, or is it just noise in the bigger picture? I don't have all the answers but we're going to talk about all of it on this episode, and trust me… it's going to get interesting.
