ACOFAE Podcast Presents: Clueless: "You're a virgin who can't drive." ACOFAE goes back to school with a heavy dose of nostalgia, plaid, and Paul Rudd. Though being a loose adaptation of Emma, Clueless takes Laura Marie and Jessica Marie all the way back to the 90's when you could argue your way from a C to a A-, call your friends in the hallways, and own a closet that is still today a thing of dreams. Cher and Dionne, the popular of the popular, take new arrival Tai under their wing and things take a turn when friend turn frenemy. Fester, get over here! It's the holidays, so why not talk about a (twisted) family movie? Mark welcomes fellow movie lover, former Blockbuster Video manager, and No More Late Fees co-host Jackie Conley on the show to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the hilarious and bonkers sequel Addams Family Values. The Addamses have some blonde villains to fight this time: homicidal golddigger Debbie Jellinsky (played by the perfect Joan Cusack) plus mean girl Amanda Buckman from Camp Chippewa! Is this technically a Thanksgiving movie because of the iconic Thanksgiving camp play, and because of its November release date? Listen to hear what they think. Plus, the movie Look Who's Talking Now gets a special mention!

From The Devil's Rain in 1975 to Look Who's Talking Now in 1993, Jeff and Stuart recap that past 18 years of John Travolta's work. From the good, the bad, the great, and the ugly; the boys have a retrospective discussion about where Travolta's been, and where he's heading.
We're talking about it again. That's right folks, Jeff and Stuart are talking about Look Who's Talking Now, the finale to the fallopening trilogy. This time, it isn't babies talking, but something with fur!
On this week's episode, the 2021 Summer Blockbuster Extravaganza kicks off with an outrageous conversation about the live-action 1996 fiasco, 101 Dalmatians! Why couldn't they make the dogs talk, a la classic cinematic masterpiece, Look Who's Talking Now? How dumb is it that Jeff Daniels's character is a video game designer? And how hard was John Hughes ripping off his own Home Alone material here? PLUS: As is the case with all WHM episodes centered around family films, this episode gets filthy! Don't listen to this one in the car with the kids! 101 Dalmatians stars Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels, Joely Richardson, Joan Plowright, Hugh Laurie, and Mark Williams; directed by Stephen Herek.Check out WHM at FRQNCY this Saturday, June 5th, 2021!Catch WHM on tour this fall, hopefully!WHM Merch StoreAdvertise on We Hate Movies via Gumball.fm
“I'll say one thing. He owes his life to that dog.”Or maybe that dog owes his life to this film! The Artist, formally known as The Little Bitch Artist and Look Who's Talking Now, wowed audiences when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2011, when Jean Dujardin won Best Actor and Uggie took the Palm Dog (eat it, Cosmo from Beginners!). Soon Oscar buzz surrounded our favorite Parsons Jack Russell, but BAFTA made no bones about their feelings toward rewarding canine actors and made sure that, despite S. T. VanAirsdale's Consider Uggie awards campaign, Ugg-man would not be eligible. In Episode 7 of Consider Uggie, Awards Daily's Joey Moser and Megan McLachlan look back at the film that made Uggie a star and answer lingering questions like, What's up Doris's (Penelope Ann Miller) butt in this film? Was George (Dujardin) reluctant to do talkies because of his French accent? Did this film only win all of the awards BECAUSE of Uggie? All this and more in Episode 7 of Consider Uggie.

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I covered the last movie in the Look Who's Talking Trilogy, Look Who's Talking Now (1993). In this movie In this, the third film, it's the pets who do the talking. The Ubriacco's find themselves the owners of two dogs, Rocks, a street wise cross breed, and Daphne, a spoiled pedigree poodle. James has a new job, pilot to the sexy and lonely Samantha. Mollie's just lost hers and is stuck at home I love this movie so much and it's such a sweet and heart warming bookend to an enjoyable movie trilogy. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone! To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: lbomwonderyearspodcast@gmail.com
Anna and Em from the Shelf Aware podcast join the show again. This time together to talk the 1993 comedy Look Who's Talking Now! This is a movie set during Christmas, with talking dogs, but aimed at an adult audience. So what could possibly go wrong? A lot, actually! From controversial co-stars to awkward doggy sperm sequences, this movie brings up a lot of questions, most of which have nothing to do with Christmas. But the most important question plaguing our minds... 90s John Travolta: Hot or not? Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I decided to cover the next entry in the Look Who's Talking Trilogy, Look Who's Talking Too which was released in 1990 a year after Look Who's Talking (1989). Movie Synopsis: This time, a new baby is on the way, and it's a girl. Wrapped together with the standard conflict between mother and father, Mikey engages in a bit of sibling rivalry with his new sister. We also get the return of Molly's parents and Molly's friend Ron from the first movie, as well as a couple new characters, Molly's brother Stuart and Mikey's new friend Eddie (Voiced by Damon Wayans). Gilbert Godfrey guests as the the owner of the Baby Gym that Molly takes Mikey to and boy oh boy is this guy annoying, screaming at the kids, threatening to slap them, talking about having a heart attack multiple times and this is all speaking to toddlers. Molly's brother is... wow, I really have no words other than he is an (out of work accountant)a major dumb dumb, living on Molly and James's couch and threatening to shoot anyone who walks through their door including and not limited to James coming home from work and Roda coming to stay after her place is robbed, mind you with an unloaded gun with toddlers in the house. WTF! Baby Julie (voiced by Roseanne Barr) is amazingly hilarious in this movie, I can't see anyone else doing her voice. While reviewing this movie I do recall the tv version which I remember had deleted scenes that weren't in the theatrical cut. If love Elvis Presley, this is the movie for you, we have two Elvis Song Montages (James With "All Shook Up" At The Baby Gym) and(Molly With "Are You Lonesome Tonight?) while missing James and watching old romantic black and white movies in bed), so many song montages, ("I Love Being A Girl") Molly and Julie Dress Up For James/Daddy Montage) and Mikey's (Jealous Guy) Look Who's Talking/Look Who's Talking Too Flashback Montage. Not to mention James and Molly are always calling each other Elvis and Priscilla. I had a fun time covering this movie and hope you all enjoy it too. Stay tuned for December 2020, next month, I'll be covering the final movie in the trilogy Look Who's Talking Now (1993). Have a great week everyone and continue to stay safe. Movie news and mash ups for the week commencing 19/10/20. This week I discuss Kitbag, Cleopatra, Shockwave: Countdown to Hiroshima, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Tom Stoppard, Moonfall, Roland Emmerich, Stanley Tucci, Coming 2 America, Furiosa, Look Who's Talking Now and much other film gubbins.
What happens when Nic Cage does a favor for his first-time filmmaker brother Chris Coppola, but derails it with a performance so bizarre it makes Vampire’s Kiss look like Leaving Las Vegas? Well, this week on the podcast, Nathan and Clint find out with the help of guest and friend of the show Scout Tafoya (RogerEbert.com), as we talk about Deadfall and Look Who’s Talking Now! Two films at widely disparate ends of the Travolta/Cage spectrum, Deadfall and Look Who’s Talking Now feel like adventures at different points in the same gonzo dimension. In Deadfall, we follow a con man (a bland Michael Biehn) roped into grifts within grifts thanks to his unscrupulous uncle (James Coburn) and Cage’s Eddie King, a figure of cosmic weirdness and inconcievable line deliveries. And then there’s Look Who’s Talking Now, the execrable final entry in the Look Who’s Talking series, where the focus shifts off the kids (who are too old to have Bruce Willis and Roseanne in their brains) and onto a pair of dogs (Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton) living out the Lady and the Tramp dream while Travolta and Kirstie Alley’s marriage collapses in real time. It’s cuckoo bananas in an entirely disparate orbit from Deadfall, and yet we gab about it all the same. Take a listen! Our main man John Travolta finds his way back onto the list, with 1993's "Look Who's Talking Now," the third in the Look trilogy, also starring fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley. In the first films, it was babies who talked. Now, it's dogs! Basketballer Charles Barkley is also in this movie. Danny DeVito and Diane Keaton play the voices of some dogs. It's a... romantic comedy? About cheating on your wife and accidentally telling your kids that Santa isn't real. Daphne and Velma separates a pair from the main team and THEN WHAT HAPPENS? Something we can ship?! What other team could stand to have two member siphoned off to explore their feelings? Then, inspired by the non-problematic parts of Isle of Dogs (if there are non-problematic parts of Isle of Dogs...), your Shippers have dog-owner Jen Kleinrock on to discuss their favorite canine ships. Homeward Bound! 101 Dalmatians! Lady Dynamite! Secret of Evermore! Snow Dogs! Look Who’s Talking Now! Then a listener question prompts some cross-platform ships. Some movies give you tears, some movies give you lols, and some movies give you the greatest gif to ever grace the internet. Look Who's Talking Now is mostly just the latter. Plus there's just that raw sexual magnetism between Travolta and Alley.
There's only one way to bring in the new year and that's by watching and talking about Ghostbusters II, a film that's very much flawed but still enjoyable, with solid performances from everyone. Still a small amount of Ernie Hudson, which is a bummer. Special thanks to Elliot Campos and newcomer Joey Schow for coming by and celebrating the new year by busting ghost (paintings) with us. Trigger Warning: Even though no children should ever listen to this podcast, there is a sequence where we talk at length and repeatedly about the 100% irrefutable fact that Santa Claus is not real. If you are an irresponsible parent whose children can listen to profanity-laced podcasts yet still hold onto the worldwide delusion as to the existence of a fat man who breaks into your house and gives you presents, you have been warned. Your Stupid Minds covers the third and therefore best entry in the Look Who’s Talking franchise, Look Who’s Talking Now! Released and taking place three years since the last movie, James (John Travolta) and Mollie Ubriacco (Kirstie Alley) return to their iconic roles. This time Mikey (David Gallagher, a.k.a Simon From 7th Heaven) and Julie (Tabitha Lupien) are older and have their own voices, but guess who can talk? The dogs! And no other kinds of animals! Danny Devito and Diane Keaton come on as Rocks the mutt and Daphne the prissy poodle, respectively. With Mollie recently out of a job and James getting a new high-flying gig with a sexy female boss (Lysette Anthony), will their marriage hold together? Considering James shows absolutely no interest in this wealthy British adulteress, yes! But also they get two new dogs and they can talk (to each other) and boy do they not get along until later when they do! Also a little girl schools Charles Barkley on the bball court during a dream sequence. Believe it or not this movie did not make much money.
