Enjoyed is based in a sleepy town called Soldridge in Hampshire. He makes electronic music; colourful, accessible and BIG.The tunes come from a love of the House/Italo/Electro background that spawned 90s stadium dance legends Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. Some bring in more poppy song structures and touch on the SMD/LCD/HotChip sphere. Others range across through the Daniel Avery and Fort Romeau’s dancefloor gold into the more interesting end of poppy territory (Sky Ferreira, Charlie XCX).In the last year, he’s just got better and better and received nods from Rob DaBank, Dummy, Guardian, FACT and more and Enjoyed has reworked Hot Chip, Kisses, TVOTR and Yumi Zouma and, oh yes, Mark Morrison. He has released a number of EPs and is now working on his debut album. The D&B duo Body & Soul have been dedicated to the dance floor-smashing beats their audience loves them for since their introduction into the scene many years ago. For Body & Soul though the ability to keep crossing musical (and mental) borders, experimenting with different musical genres and throwing in new sounds to create something just a little different from your usual drum and bass anthem is essential. The outfit has become known for their versatile and unprecedented sounds that wow ravers all over the globe and attract new audiences everywhere they go.Since their debut in 2004 Body & Soul have been honing their abilities in creating music that at once both adheres to and subverts the traditional definition of the term ‘Drum & Bass’; a dystopian sound that for all its aggression and energy carries that distinct Body & Soul eccentricity and melody throughout. Having toyed with the idea of an album project for a number of years, the duo are now ready to release their debut long-player Rebirth: the most diverse, free-form and comprehensive exponent of the Body & Soul sound to date. Oskar Schuster's purely instrumental music is at times reminiscent of "Amélie", evoking an atmosphere that reminds one of France, Paris, Valses and musette music. Several times referred to as "the german Yann Tiersen", his music is still very distinct, arising from a mixture of various influences including experimental electronic music (Aphex Twin, Pogo), the minimalist folk-pop of Beirut, the ethereal and mystical sounds of Sigur Rós as well as classical piano music by Robert Schumann and Frédéric Chopin. As a true self-made artist, he not only plays almost all the instruments and produces the music by himself, but also designs the artwork by himself.Schuster's music takes the listener into a world of its own. The soft, muted sound of an old piano mixes with the noises of just as old typewriters, analogue cameras and radios while in the distance you hear a music box playing and a synthesizer creaking. However, Oskar Schuster does not merely fiddle with interesting sounds and noises but creates clearly structured pieces with catchy melodies. Melodies you seem to remember from early childhood days or long-forgotten dreams, at the same time sad and joyful, euphoric and exuberant, nostalgic, thought-provoking and always kind of melancholic. Neil Hatherall, the man behind the King Kornelius moniker, is a self taught EDM producer residing in Ontario Canada. First entering the electronic music scene in 2010 he has since been busy building his throne made of epic melodies, heavy bass lines and pounding drums; All of which are bred together to create an emotional roller coaster music addicts flock to. Ironically choosing a career that entirely revolves around his ears, Neil has suffered from hearing problems since childhood. A condition that prevents fluid in the inner ear from draining properly means he experiences distorted/muffled hearing, ear pain and tinnitus. Despite this obstacle often present while creating and performing music, Neil perseveres toward his goals of world-wide recognition. Rather than following footsteps, Neil is dedicated to creating his own path to success. A desire to be known for having a unique style of music forces him to create it all from scratch. He hand makes and designs all his synths and sounds, never using a preset or any sampled sounds with out some kind of modulation or effects processing. This can range from constructing his kick drums from a set of 4 or 5 different samples, to field recording and incorporating his own samples and sound effects. Or from layering synths with lengthy effects chains, to writing, performing and recording his own vocals and live instruments. Neil believes this to be the only way to create a truly original style of music, and the world is well on it's way to recognizing him for it. In just 3 years, the King Kornelius name has over 42 Beatport releases on 23 renown record labels including Bug Eyed, Burn the Fire, and Big Fish. An EP 'It's time to die!' reached #3 in the top 100 releases in the beatport Electro House category. The single, 'Regicide,' made it to #12 in the drum and bass category, and a collaboration with BC's Soulfix and Australian vocalist, Jay Jacob, entitled 'Broken" reached #14 in the dubstep top 100. With many other chart toppers under his belt, and lots more to come, King Kornelius has establish validity to his name. And despite hearing issues, Neil pushes through to show the world what he is made of. TRACKLISTING1. King Kornelius - Early Morning (Original Mix) (Audiophile) 2. Z.A.K feat. Introducing Statix. To put it simply, dubstep's answer to Bad Company. Quite a title? With distinctive records such as ‘Mind Over Matter', 'samurai' & ‘anymore' shredding their way through the dubstep scene, it's one that is definitely justified. Statix means …. Well, nothing actually, there isn't a reason behind the name, although there is a reason as to why Statix contains 4 members. Eddie, Ross & John take care of the beats, while arguably Bristol's finest dubstep MC 'Frilla' spits catchy hooks and bars on an unsuspecting audience. Back in 2008, a Music Technology course in Bristol began to bring the group together. Soon enough, friendships were developed, musical influences were shared and finally, the idea to bring about the group 'Statix' was put forward and optimised. It wasn't long before the world took notice of the somewhat refreshing sound the guys were bringing to the dance-floor. Radio plays from the likes of Caspa, Rusko & Crissy Criss followed a ‘mini-mix' request on the infamous Mary Anne Hobbs Radio 1 show. The spotlight was significantly placed upon ‘Mind Over Matter' which even featured on Mary Anne Hobbs' U.S tour blog, beside the likes of Chase & Status, Joker & Plactician. ‘Mind Over Matter' was then chosen to be released on one of the most exciting and contemporary record labels to emerge from 2009, ‘Screwloose Records' where it would join highly desired up and coming releases from the likes of KOAN Sound & Asa. After the sudden kick start, things only stated to get better for Statix, bagging themselves headline slots at club night across the UK and europe with the likes of Nero, Chase & Status and Being commissioned for remixes from the likes of Gatekeeper, Dr.syntax and Kate Mcgill. But as dubstep became more mainstream, The competition got tougher. They soon realised that a cunning master plan was needed to get them to the top, so they slowly slipped into the shadows to work on their sound. 9 months later, Statix are about to unleash the type of bass music the scene has been missing. Catchy vocals, Heaven sent synth lines, but keeping the basslines dark and nasty! Look out for the anthem that is 'Anymore' co-produced by the infamous Eddie K, seeing a release on H.E.N.CH in november 2011. Keep an ear out for forthcoming tracks on Screwloose records featuring 'Dr.Syntax' & 'Metropolis' (Foreign Beggars) amongst remixes for 'Zanetic' and Katie Sky and hold tight for the first ever static Drum n Bass colaboration with Hospital sensation 'N3gus'. Perhaps the best thing about Statix is the fact that the talent doesn't stop at the loading screen for Reason 4.0. Word of mouth alone established Statix high on the bills of several nights to start with in their home town of Bristol. Why? A well coordinated approach to live performances coupled with superb DJ skills and jaw dropping MC talent. Even with the somewhat dark sound the group can unleash through a sound-system, the future is most definitely bright for Statix. And with a live performance in the works, things are about to go from sick, to slick. TRACKLISTING1. Statix – Mind Over Matter – Screwloose 2. Statix – Purgatory – Rottun 3. Panda presents Revolvr. Born in Queens, New York and now living Las Vegas, Revolvr, aka Touvan Sughiarto, grew up with musical influences ranging from classical to hip-hop and dubstep to drum and bass. In high school, he made older friends who were coincindentally underground DJs and from there Revolvr was instantly hooked. Buying his first set of turntables, he started practice DJing and later producing his own music. His remix of Scotty Boy & DJ Red's "4 AM in Vegas" was somewhat of a breakthrough as it created considerable response throughout the music scene following more recently the huge remix of Scooter & Lavelle's "Beats Inside My Head" which is making a storm now. His tracks have started to continuously progress to higher positions in the Beatport charts and are now seeing support from the likes of Tiesto, Laidback Luke, Lazy Rich and Afrojack. In this mix, Revolvr bring us 15 of his and friends' latest tracks, remixes and exclusives in a 45+ minute mix. Leave your appreciation for him in the comments! TRACKLISTING1.
