Cappa Regime is a creative collective composed of Jake Kasheta, Shane Sherzai, Richard Nash (Rykr), Rob Enea (Erratic), and Charlie Doughan. With complementary production skills and a mastery of instruments ranging from piano to drums to guitar, they are endeavoring to break out of the "banger" soundscape that EDM has constructed for itself. In the studio, they aren't confined to a single genre, and channel influences as disparate as The Isley Brothers and E40. They produce melodic, expectation defying tracks to keep bodies moving and fresh minds blown. This year, Cappa Regime played a West Coast tour culminating in a play at Coachella, and were also chosen to play at EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland. Their live show is an energetic amalgamation of many dance genres; they integrate urban, vintage, and modern electronic dance elements throughout, so it has something for everyone. Their most recent remix of James Egbert's Exit Wounds was endorsed by the artist, and hailed as “brilliant” by EDM.com. They also just released a 2 track EP with Play Me Records. Constantly creating new content, they plan on releasing collaborations with Nina Sung and Del The Funky Homosapien (one of his first electronic collaborations since his work with Gorillaz) in spring of 2014. Hailing from Asbury Park, NJ, a town deeply rooted in rock history, Kastra (Ray Decker) is a true product of his environment. It was his early exposure to this prolific rock scene and the raw sounds of legends like Bruce Springsteen that influenced Kastra by shaping his musical taste and nurturing a deep desire to produce and perform his own brand of raw and exciting electronic music. From the young age of 14, Ray began composing simple guitar melodies. Building his music knowledge and learning to play various other instruments like bass and drums, Kastra was on his way to becoming a well-known musician in his own right. It was after a chance encounter with genre-bending music trailblazers Ghostland Observatory at Bonnaroo that Kastra was first exposed to experimental electronic music and was immediately drawn to it. Kastra's early success has not halted his enthusiastic work ethic. He released the "SPANK!" EP for free in the Summer of 2013 which resonated with his fans and is featured in DJ sets globally. He also is in the second year of his podcast for the The Drop radio with his good friend and fellow producer Aylen. His ongoing pursuit to creatively, and musically express himself to his growing fan base have sent him back into the studio. Neil Hatherall, the man behind the King Kornelius moniker, is a self taught EDM producer residing in Ontario Canada. First entering the electronic music scene in 2010 he has since been busy building his throne made of epic melodies, heavy bass lines and pounding drums; All of which are bred together to create an emotional roller coaster music addicts flock to. Ironically choosing a career that entirely revolves around his ears, Neil has suffered from hearing problems since childhood. A condition that prevents fluid in the inner ear from draining properly means he experiences distorted/muffled hearing, ear pain and tinnitus. Despite this obstacle often present while creating and performing music, Neil perseveres toward his goals of world-wide recognition. Rather than following footsteps, Neil is dedicated to creating his own path to success. A desire to be known for having a unique style of music forces him to create it all from scratch. He hand makes and designs all his synths and sounds, never using a preset or any sampled sounds with out some kind of modulation or effects processing. This can range from constructing his kick drums from a set of 4 or 5 different samples, to field recording and incorporating his own samples and sound effects. Or from layering synths with lengthy effects chains, to writing, performing and recording his own vocals and live instruments. Neil believes this to be the only way to create a truly original style of music, and the world is well on it's way to recognizing him for it. In just 3 years, the King Kornelius name has over 42 Beatport releases on 23 renown record labels including Bug Eyed, Burn the Fire, and Big Fish. An EP 'It's time to die!' reached #3 in the top 100 releases in the beatport Electro House category. The single, 'Regicide,' made it to #12 in the drum and bass category, and a collaboration with BC's Soulfix and Australian vocalist, Jay Jacob, entitled 'Broken" reached #14 in the dubstep top 100. With many other chart toppers under his belt, and lots more to come, King Kornelius has establish validity to his name. And despite hearing issues, Neil pushes through to show the world what he is made of. TRACKLISTING1. King Kornelius - Early Morning (Original Mix) (Audiophile) 2. Z.A.K feat. Built to party and conquer the world, Kronic is Australia's most reckless entertainer. Fueled by an appetite for antics and an alarming disregard for personal safety, his electronically sequenced on-stage acrobatics take dj'ing to the next level, leaving crowds everywhere throbbing, engorged and yearning for more. With a cult following built from his series of bootleg mix tapes, it seems almost a lifetime ago that Kronic was one of Australia's hip hop DJ elite, constantly traversing the lands, bringing the party to the furthest corners of the nation. Five years on, with tour supports for LMFAO, Afrojack, David Guetta, Snoop Dogg & Lil Jon notched into his bed post, alongside lanyards from Creamfields and Future Music Festival slung over the door, it's obvious that Kronic has more than a foot in the EDM world. Transitioning from professional party-starter to production prodigy, it's Kronic's antics in the studio that have him commanding attention of late. After face planting into the ARIA Club Chart Top Ten with 2012′s Looking For Some Girls (feat. Bombs Away) (#7 Aria Club Chart), and the #11 follow up Watup Bitch, present day 2013 has Kronic spreading his wings, notching up remixes for fellow Aussie EDM heroes Dirt Cheap [Hussle], Bombs Away [Central], Chardy & Andy Murphy [Hussle]. Remix duties aside, it's Kronic original productions that have been turning heads of late. S.W.A.T. Team (with Chardy) saw Kronic reach Top 20 territory on Beatport, and earn support from Bingo Players, Hardwell, Tommie Sunshine, Sidney Samson, Deorro and more. Their follow up, Kavorka, became Kronic's biggest record to date – reaching #12 on Beatport's Electro House charts, and peaking at #5 on the Aria Club Charts. Not to mention Uberkron, a bass-heavy experimental collaboration with fellow Adelaide anarchist Uberjak'd, that snuck into the Beatport Top 40 Electro House releases. After touring the country (again!) with Tom Piper on Ministry of Sound's Addicted to Bass tour, Kronic has relocated to Sydney and is already hard at work, producing a monthly pod cast Handstands & Hangovers, and locking in studio time alongside Krunk!, Seany B, Static Revenger, Apocalypto and more. Finally I have Trumpdisco on! It literally took me two years of hassling them to get them on my show. I am proud to have them as they have a very unique sound. It's electro but with a purity and rawness to it that's hard to find in often over-produced and polished 4/4 music we hear these days. Hailing from Melbourne, Trumpdisco was formed in 2009 and since then have become renowned for their diverse remixing abilities. Sought after by a wide range of world class artists including the likes of Freeland, Yolanda Be Cool, Don Diablo and Mad Decent's Diplo. Trumpdisco boasts a rich plethora of bootlegs for artists like Woodkid, Muse, James Blake, Adrian Lux, Phoenix, Fatboy Slim and Rammstein. There is one constant Trumpdisco fans have grown to expect however – the raw, powerful energy which they never fail to deliver. After releasing their second E.P ‘OV Shark' with support from Drop the Lime, Fake Blood, DJ Craze, Kissy Sell Out, The Bloody Beetroots and Winslow, Trump went on a crinkle filled tour Across Europe. Panda presents Kashuks. I received a demo a few months ago from this Latvian producer and I was blown away by what I heard. His tracks sound like they should accompany huge cinematic productions of tales of tragedy. It's somewhat like dubstep, but with a lot of hiphop influences mixed in there too. It reminds me a lot of Rob Dougan's stuff too. All in all it's a very different sound than we usually hear from producers now. I love it and I hope you do too! Be sure to check out more of his music on Facebook and support it because we need more of this original music coming in to the scene. His album "Piece of a Chance" is out now on Audio Rejectz. Kashuks was born in 1991 and now he is a producer and remixer from Latvia. He has been making music since 2007. Kashuks started music making as a small joke and in several months this joke became in more serious movement. He started with hip hop beats only. From 2009 till 2012 he produced a lot of Latvian well known hip hop artists. In year 2010 his first hip hop instrumental release was nominated as Latvian Hip Hop Year Award and it was recognized as it. Now he has grown his skills and he intricately weaves multiple genres from electronic, down-tempo, melancholy and chill, hip hop, to experimental, to create truly mesmerizing pieces. On 17 August 2012 he released his first studio debut album "Piece Of A Chance". Whoever said ‘it's grim up north' has yet to tune their ears to audio delights from production and DJ outfit Northern Lights. Comprising of Zak Burton & Gareth Kitcher aka Steppa and Kitcha, the duo who have been collaborating since 2009, have created nothing short of a hearty back-catalogue of releases under their Northern Lights alias; including chart-topping bangers championed by the likes of Congo Natty and Shogun Audio. Beatport: http://bit.ly/FastLaneEPBeatport iTunes: http://bit.ly/FastLaneEPiTunes Download "By A Thread" for free @ http://bit.ly/ByAThreadFree One of AudioPorn's newest and brightest collectives' Mediks return for their second release on the label, after the breakthrough success of their debut ‘Outbreak' EP – the EP received a glowing 9.5 rating from premier electronic journal, DJ Mag and the Liquicity upload of ‘Blown Away' alone garnered hundreds of thousands of views. Mediks have built their reputation on a marriage of technical aptitude and bouncing vibrancy, and their latest ‘Fast Lane' EP is no exception to the rule with five unique, genre-crossing tracks laced with Mediks' signature synth-workouts and relentless energy. ‘Fast Lane' Ft. Texas Opening with crunching snares and a tearing lead guitar riff that sails through the arrangement, ‘Fast Lane' wastes no time moving towards its devastating drop. Paired with Texas' flowing lyrics and waves of futuristic, laser-esque synth stabs, ‘Fast Lane' sets the pace for the EP's no-holds-barred approach to tech-orientated dance floor destruction. ‘So Cruel' Ft. Georgina Upton ‘So Cruel' is the perfect display of Mediks' ability to simultaneously juggle a multitude of moods and tempos – with its down-tempo plucking synths and soaring vocals courtesy of Georgina Upton making her AudioPorn debut – rendering the listener unable to predict the switch-up in the arrangement when the track eventually breaks into its bouncing synth-led drop. Dominated by fluctuating mids and rumbling subs, ‘So Cruel' once again underlines Mediks' playful vigor amidst their trademark rolling energy. ‘By A Thread' Ft. Georgina Upton Continuing in the same vein from the runaway success of ‘Blown Away' from their debut Outbreak EP, ‘By A Thread' drops the all-out assault of the EP's opening two tracks and focuses on uplifting, hands-in-the-air summertime vibes. With its pulsating stabs and Georgina Upton's titular, soothing vocals laced throughout, ‘By A Thread' is another glowing example of Mediks' adaptability and keen ear for mood progression. ‘Hulk' Displaying Mediks' comfort in technical excellence at a multitude of different tempos, ‘Hulk' drops the tempo down to 140 without losing sense of their signature boisterous intensity. With its processed claps, wandering retro-futuristic synths and guitar licks punctuated throughout the arrangement, ‘Hulk' rarely treads on similar grounds twice as its mid swipes seem to have a mind of their own, floating effortlessly after the drop. Sure to send dance floors across the land into a mindless frenzy. ‘Hands On That Ass' Ft. Messinian Being no strangers to sonic experimentation, Mediks have come up with something entirely different with the ‘Fast Lane' EP's closing track. ‘Hands On That Ass' welcomes premier wordsmith Messinian – who has toured worldwide, as Dieselboy's front man in particular, as one of Drum & Bass' most successful MC's to date. With its rolling, militant hi-hats and G-Funk inspired wailing synths. ‘Hands On That Ass' takes the usual tropes associated with ‘Trap' music and evolves them, Mediks-style. Hold on to your hats people. TRACKLISTINGMediks - Hulk Dodge & Fuski - ??? Introducing Statix. To put it simply, dubstep's answer to Bad Company. Quite a title? With distinctive records such as ‘Mind Over Matter', 'samurai' & ‘anymore' shredding their way through the dubstep scene, it's one that is definitely justified. Statix means …. Well, nothing actually, there isn't a reason behind the name, although there is a reason as to why Statix contains 4 members. Eddie, Ross & John take care of the beats, while arguably Bristol's finest dubstep MC 'Frilla' spits catchy hooks and bars on an unsuspecting audience. Back in 2008, a Music Technology course in Bristol began to bring the group together. Soon enough, friendships were developed, musical influences were shared and finally, the idea to bring about the group 'Statix' was put forward and optimised. It wasn't long before the world took notice of the somewhat refreshing sound the guys were bringing to the dance-floor. Radio plays from the likes of Caspa, Rusko & Crissy Criss followed a ‘mini-mix' request on the infamous Mary Anne Hobbs Radio 1 show. The spotlight was significantly placed upon ‘Mind Over Matter' which even featured on Mary Anne Hobbs' U.S tour blog, beside the likes of Chase & Status, Joker & Plactician. ‘Mind Over Matter' was then chosen to be released on one of the most exciting and contemporary record labels to emerge from 2009, ‘Screwloose Records' where it would join highly desired up and coming releases from the likes of KOAN Sound & Asa. After the sudden kick start, things only stated to get better for Statix, bagging themselves headline slots at club night across the UK and europe with the likes of Nero, Chase & Status and Being commissioned for remixes from the likes of Gatekeeper, Dr.syntax and Kate Mcgill. But as dubstep became more mainstream, The competition got tougher. They soon realised that a cunning master plan was needed to get them to the top, so they slowly slipped into the shadows to work on their sound. 9 months later, Statix are about to unleash the type of bass music the scene has been missing. Catchy vocals, Heaven sent synth lines, but keeping the basslines dark and nasty! Look out for the anthem that is 'Anymore' co-produced by the infamous Eddie K, seeing a release on H.E.N.CH in november 2011. Keep an ear out for forthcoming tracks on Screwloose records featuring 'Dr.Syntax' & 'Metropolis' (Foreign Beggars) amongst remixes for 'Zanetic' and Katie Sky and hold tight for the first ever static Drum n Bass colaboration with Hospital sensation 'N3gus'. Perhaps the best thing about Statix is the fact that the talent doesn't stop at the loading screen for Reason 4.0. Word of mouth alone established Statix high on the bills of several nights to start with in their home town of Bristol. Why? A well coordinated approach to live performances coupled with superb DJ skills and jaw dropping MC talent. Even with the somewhat dark sound the group can unleash through a sound-system, the future is most definitely bright for Statix. And with a live performance in the works, things are about to go from sick, to slick. TRACKLISTING1. Statix – Mind Over Matter – Screwloose 2. Statix – Purgatory – Rottun 3. Hailing from Toulouse, Gauvain Fargeot aka Dilemn has come a long way in becoming the prominent figure in the French underground electronic scene he is today. Having been brought up surrounded by classical music and its influences, Dilemn engaged himself with a wide range of music from the aggression of Hip-Hop and Drum & Bass to the synthesised qualities of Techno before finding his comfort zone in Electro at the age of 22. Exposing and condensing all of these influences in creating his signature sound, Dilemn's music combines crunchy beats and slick warm electro lines into pumping melodies that take inspiration from and evolve the French House sound popularised by acts such as Daft Punk and Justice. Dilemn's career as a producer began with the release of the ‘Phyzicall / Check My Beat' 12” in 2007, which was followed up immediately by two more supreme releases, ‘Daylight' / ‘Time To Sing' and The Baguette EP with Les Petits Pilous later that year. All three releases were prime examples of Dilemn's technically assured and confident sound, showing off the serious talent that this young, promising producer had to offer the scene. 2010 was a huge year for Dilemn as the producer unleashed his first full-length album, Better Worlds on Bordeaux-based imprint Boxon. Thirteen tracks-full featuring a plethora of France's foremost underground talent including Youthstar, Blake & Wonderkat, Miss Trouble and Kloe, Better Worlds was given outstanding reviews that drew obvious comparisons to the works of the aforementioned Daft Punk. In the following months, not one to rest on his laurels, Dilemn released another EP on Burn The Fire with the stomping ‘Audio Control' / ‘Got U' which paired the producer with The Clamps (aka Imprintz). He continued to flex his production muscle having been approached to remix Porter Robinson's and Lazy Rich's Hello for Big Fish as the standout track on Part 2 of the remix EP, whilst Boxon continued to promote DIlemn's emphatic debut LP with a 7-track remix package that garnered radio support from luminaries such as Annie Nightingale, Kissy Sell Out and Far Too Loud. 2012 is set to cement Dilemn's glowing domestic reputation on our shores as the artist moves forward in experimenting with unfamiliar tempo territories. After causing damage in the underground Electro scene for over a decade this young producer is about to take the international stage, presenting his debut release on AudioPorn with a monster 5-track multi-genre EP that pushes tempo boundaries: the Talk About Us EP. Featuring the embellished hybrid arrangements of ‘Watts Of Funkin', ‘Two Points', ‘Kill The Nation' and ‘Afraid Of Change', plus the vocal talents of songstress de jour Ayah Marar on the titular ‘Talk About Us', the EP sees the producer retain the slick production qualities and accomplished melodic arrangements he has built his career on whilst offering something resoundingly different to the previous Dilemn back-catalogue. A colourful and painstakingly detailed layer of sounds that waver on the brink of perplexed amalgamation without losing sense of that all important funk, the EP offers a simultaneous danger and optimism that flirts with classic French House vibes. A producer with a commitment to sound excellence and an astonishing comfort in variety and tempo progression, Dilemn is sure to stake his claim as one of the most promising electronic artists worldwide.

Syrebral's "Broken Angels EP" was finally released in December of 2011 with a remix by xKore. Panda presents a special guest this month: Brighton's two-time UK DMC champion JFB. Just a few months ago he scooped the UK DMC 2011 title for the second time after winning it in 2007. The story of JFB starts back in 1996 when he started out playing Drum and Bass on local pirate radio stations. Implementing scratch techniques in his sets, he soon started playing out in clubs around Brighton and later in London. Receiving many residencies around the country, JFB improved rapidly and finally won his first prize, the Vestax Scratch Championship at London's The End club. Touring around the UK and Europe, JFB met Beardyman with whom he started the night Battlejam, an innovative event concept which brings improvised video DJ skills and rhymes together. Meanwhile, JFB still worked on his own productions and used the tracks in his sets. His production work has been just as succesful as his DJing, as he now has tracks signed to Hospital Records and recently released his official remix of Fatboy Slim's legendary track "Praise You" on Skint Records. The Dubstep Mix Show on YouTube presents FS. This American producer and DJ from Brooklyn, NY has started to continunally hit the Dubstep charts with absolute smashers such as "Yup", "Touch O Klass" and "Shake Dat Ass". FS started writing music at the age of 10, playing the piano and guitar. Fascinated by electronics, he built his own electronic mixer out of spare Atari parts. In his late teens, he went on to produce many local NYC artists and signed with major labels including Polygram and Universal. From there, FS rolled into writing music scores for the television and film industry, with his tracks appearing in shows such as CSI, Weeds, Entourage and The Real World. Luckily for us, he jumped into Dubstep from there, and we can now enjoy the fruits of his labor. Which you'll hear plenty of in this mix. Out now is the single "YUP" from FS's Touch O Klass EP which this week hit #1 on Beatport's Dubstep chart. Get it while it's fresh: ► http://j.mp/DOWNLOAD_FS_TRACKS ◄ In this mix, FS brings us 9 of his most exclusive tracks in just over 20 minutes including FS' remix of J. Rabbit & Tremourz "Sexy Party" and the "Money All Day" dubplate which will be out this summer. Leave your appreciation in the comments! ►BIOGRAPHY◄ Renowned Writer/Producer/Artist/DJ Frederick Anthony Sargolini, a.k.a. FS, began DJ'ing and playing piano and guitar at age 10. His fascination with electronics and music began while constructing his first home-built mixer out of an Atari, spare circuitry and a few switches, and he soon after established a reputation as a producer and composer for local New York City artists. By age 16, deals were in place with Polygram/Universal Records and Chrysalis Music Publishing, and within a few years he was hired by Character Music to write and produce for major-label soul/R&B acts including Carl Thomas, Soul 2 Soul and Brandy. After co-founding Ming+FS, and releasing four, full-length albums and over thirty 12" singles, he launched Patriarch Recordings, his production, artist/brand development and creative agency. Placements include TV, film, video games and advertising: CSI, Weeds, Entourage, Sony, Stomp The Yard, The Real World, as well as over 50 different TV shows and films. FS discovered, developed and produced Kirsten Price for Columbia Records, including her hit 'Magic Tree' Tree' featured on the L Word, and he produced and co-Wrote 'Nice For Me', the forthcoming single for Hip Hop legend Greg Nice's new album. Recently, he composed and created music for the Middle Men trailer released on Paramount Pictures, and his original score for the new Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family trailer can be heard this spring and purchased on Itunes. FS has shared the stage with the likes of Sting, The Roots, St. Germain, Run-DMC, Burning Spear, A Tribe Called Quest, and Moby, and has toured the world playing festivals such as Coachella, Mount Fuji Rock, ACA World Sound Festival, Audiotistic, Sundance Film Festival, and more. A pop culture aficionado, his studio companions are a muted TV, flickering images of Adult Swim and Family Guy, and the sounds of New York City (sirens, crashes, and car horns) pouring in through an open window. At its core, this urban perspective represents the bedrock of his musical and artistic process, and is the key to his ability to create in a unique but accessible way TRACKLISTING01 - FS - Perversion For Profit Intro 02 - FS - Yup (Original Dubstep Mix) 03 - J. The Dubstep Mix Show on YouTube presents Dubstep dandy and local bounder High Rankin. He is one of the scenes more eccentric artists. His music brims with character and personality that engulfs the listener as well as causing the obvious dance floor riot! He has an excellent moustache and will fight anyone who disagrees. A man of unhindered honesty, it seems, as the above is the first story of business that he utters throughout this short trip around his musical lifetime. But High Rankin's introduction to the world of music was far more simple than his introduction to the one of business. "It seemed like the easiest way to pull chicks as I couldn't play the guitar, and I thought it would be cool". See, simple. But when you get down to the nuts of bolts of what High Rankin is actually about, there's not only an inimitable personality behind everything that he does, but an unfaltering ethic and politik stemming from the most simple elements of his musical back and foreground.
