In this episode we speak to Gary Arndt. He has a highly-successful blog which was listed in Time Magazine as one of the top 25 blogs in the world he is also one of the world's most awarded travel photographers. From Wisconsin, he sold his home back in 2007 to travel for a year or two but hasn't stopped since – having no place of his own to call home for 9 years. He's visited more than 204 countries and territories around the world on the Travelers Century Club list of places, including travelling to all 50 US states and territories twice, every Canadian province three times, as well as all of the states in Australia, Germany and South Africa. He likes to explore places completely. Gary has photographed and documented trips to over 400 UNESCO World Heritage sites and is close to seeing all 60 national parks in the USA. Since 2009 he has been the co-host of This Week in Travel, an award-winning weekly podcast that covers travel industry news. Key Links Get your official Counting Countries apparel Listen with Spotify We’re on Amazon Alexa --------------------------------------- On today’s episode, I spoke with Bob Bonifas.  I have seen Bob’s name on the top of the Most Traveled People’s list.  MTP divides the world into 874 places and Bob is currently ranked #2 on the list.  I had the opportunity to visit Bob in his office in Aurora, a suburb of Chicago. His spacious office was filled with a ton of  travel mementos. Bob did not take his first flight until the age of 30, but since then he has racked up several million plus miles and then some.  Bob founded Alarm Detection Systems and became involved with the industry associations. With his involvement in the association he began to travel more and more, expanding his horizons.        Bob learned about Travelers’ Century Club and MTP and being a Type A personality he quickly became hooked on travel.  He rapidly picked up new countries and territories, moving up on the list. He is now in a friendly competition with his IL neighbor, Don Parrish, who is ranked #1. Bob touches on the great difficulty of finishing of the MTP list as you near the end.  Many of his final territories are remote or require permission to visit. These trips tend to be expensive.  And very frustratingly, the visit is not guaranteed. Stefan Krasowski is truly a world traveler. He has been to 189 of the world’s 193 countries and is a member of the Circumnavigators Club and the Travelers’ Century Club. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, a graduate of the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and has also lived and studied in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. He's an expert in travel, reward credit cards, and all things points and miles and graciously took some time to chat after getting back from yet another trip.

Lee Abbamonte is among the most well-traveled people in the world. He has visited every country in the world, as well as both the North and South Poles. Every country means that he has visited all 193 sovereign nations that the UN recognizes as member states but he has actually visited 318 of the 324 countries and unique destinations per the Travelers Century Club list.
