Bubba shares the story behind both Masters wins, adopting Caleb and Dakota, his darkest season, and how he finally realized golf was just the way that God got him to where he wanted him to be.Topics covered:- 12 time PGA Tour winner, two time Masters champ, great friend to both Webb and Ben- Webb's favorite Bubba memory: Presidents Cup 2011, thanking God after a win and after a loss- Bubba singing Golf Boys on the microphone at Waste Management while in contention to win- I said, what would Jesus do? And Angie said, all right, what time are you flying out?- Being passed over for the Presidents Cup team as the seventh ranked player in the world and showing up as vice captain to serve- Golf is great, but being able to be a part of something bigger than me on earth, that's bigger than me- It's like the 12 disciples. There's 12 guys on the team and you're like washing their feet. That's the vision I had in my head.- Growing up in Baghdad, Florida hitting plastic golf balls around the house and how that taught Bubba every shot he knows- I had a nine iron for the first year. I was six years old and had a nine iron.- Getting turned down for adoption three times and getting the call on Tuesday of Bay Hill week- My whole focus over the last few months leading up to the Masters was becoming a husband and wife family with a baby- From four down on the back nine at Augusta to winning in a playoff on 10- Man, I got a swing, I got a shot- Winning the 2014 Masters on the back nine with Caleb in his arms high fiving the crowd- Going through mental struggles in 2015, 2016, 2017 and moving back to Pensacola- I got down on my knees and prayed and as soon as I said that in my head I was like, oh my gosh, get off the floor, what are you doing? And that's where my faith really started growing.- Golf was just the way that God got me to where he wanted me to be- I finally realized I'm giving all the glory to God- Why Bubba joined LIV and what he is trying to pour into his teammates- Romans 15:7: therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you for the glory of God- No matter where you've been, no matter what you've done, no matter how many mistakes you've made, Almighty God wants to welcome you through Jesus ChristFollow Bible Caddie:Instagram: @biblecaddieTikTok: @biblecaddieX: @biblecaddieListen and subscribe: https://www.biblecaddie.com/podcastInterested in starting a Bible Caddie Featured Group? groups@biblecaddie.comQuestions or inquiries: info@biblecaddie.comShop Bible Caddie: https://www.biblecaddie.com
In this Bible Caddie Classic from Episode 100, William Kane, Ben Crane, and Webb Simpson sit down with Bernhard Langer. Two Masters victories, 42 European Tour wins, 47 Champions Tour wins, six Schwab Cup titles, ten Ryder Cups, and a World Golf Hall of Famer. Bernhard shares the story of winning the 1985 Masters, the emptiness he felt that night, and how he came to faith in Christ weeks later at a Bible study led by PGA Tour chaplain Larry Moody.Topics covered:- Two Masters victories, 47 Champions Tour wins most ever, six Schwab Cup titles most ever, World Golf Hall of Famer- Don't look at leaderboards: the advice Bernhard gave Ben Crane early in his career that changed everything- Tearing his Achilles playing pickleball at 66 and winning on the Champions Tour nine months later- 18 years in a row winning on the Champions Tour which has never happened before to anybody else either- I believe God has given me this platform to be successful and I want to use it to spread the good news. That is part of what we are to do as ambassadors of Christ and I am certainly not ashamed of it- The 1991 Ryder Cup: missing the six foot putt and what his faith taught him about perspective- Larry, I have just missed a putt. It is not life and death. The only perfect person that ever lived, Jesus Christ, was crucified. So what I did was not all that bad- Winning the 1985 Masters and using the Lord's name in vain on live TV going out to 40 countries- Larry Moody and Scott Simpson got on their knees and prayed for Bernard that he would one day use the Lord's name in a different way- After winning the Masters I had this void in my heart. I had this emptiness. You are literally world number one. You have money, cars, houses, you are famous. And I had this emptiness and I had no idea why.- Bobby Clampett invited Bernhard to a Bible study and he showed up three nights after Larry Moody had prayed for him- John 3:3 and 3:5: you have to be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven- I knew I had never said the prayer where I would say Lord Jesus I acknowledge who you are, I give my life to you, I confess I am a sinner- The moment I did that the emptiness was gone. Left. And it has not returned. And this was 1985.- Winning the 1993 Masters on Easter Sunday: I am the only guy in Butler Cabin to mention Jesus twice, once in a very bad way- Money or victories are short lived. Only God can satisfy the void. Without him we are missing the biggest part.- We need to live life from an eternal perspective. Eternity is a very very long time compared to the 100 years we may live here on Earth.Follow Bible Caddie:Instagram: @biblecaddieTikTok: @biblecaddieX: @biblecaddieListen and subscribe: https://www.biblecaddie.com/podcastInterested in starting a Bible Caddie Featured Group? groups@biblecaddie.comQuestions or inquiries: info@biblecaddie.comShop Bible Caddie: https://www.biblecaddie.com
This was an exciting episode sitting down to learn about Travis Burn's role at the Virginia Tech College. He's had a number of different roles at the college there throughout his time teaching there for 16 years. Was also great to learn how he was able to push himself to earn those Masters Degrees, as well as, becoming an FWCF through the Fellowship. Lot's of dedication and priorities to make that happen. One master. One kingdom. One supreme devotion. Christianity often speaks in absolutes—but reality feels far more complicated. After yesterday's study, I found myself conflicted, frustrated, and stuck. This episode explores sinful nature, divided hearts, human love, and why serious theology sometimes creates more tension than certainty.

In this episode of 2 Minute Disciple, host Nick Oyler leads a contemplative devotional through Matthew 6:22–24 — Jesus' honest and penetrating look at what happens when our focus becomes divided and our hearts try to serve more than one master. What you fix your gaze on determines what fills you. And you cannot sustainably live with a divided heart.
Daniel Wiens
Jesus' disciple serves one master, living for His glory, as he stewards the material resources afforded to him in light of the eternal life that is to come.

Join us as Pastor Craig takes us through the Absolutes of Scripture: Two Masters
"When in Rome, do as the Romans do..." but what if Rome looks a lot like 21st-century America? Two thousand years ago, Christians followed Jesus in a powerful, wealthy, and complex culture not unlike our own. In our series, as we go verse by verse through the book of Romans, the apostle Paul shows believers how to live faithful lives without blending in or backing down. This series invites us to learn about how Roman Christians lived in the past, so we can apply their lessons to our lives today.Title: Two MastersSpeaker: Kyle Isabelli
Today, we look at the Blessings and Woes in the book of Luke, and ask what does this say to me depending on who I am?
Grace doesn't mean people are free to sin without consequence; it means they've been rescued from sin's rule and brought under a new master. Everyone ends up serving something: either sin, which promises freedom but grows into bondage, shame, and ultimately death, or obedience to God, which flows from a changed heart and produces righteousness, sanctification, and eternal life. Those who are in Christ are genuinely made new, called to live like who they now are rather than returning to what never truly gave life. There are two masters, two kinds of fruit, and two very different outcomes.
