We know that our thoughts are creative, but do we allow Spirit to do the work in creating our most amazing life, or do we get involved with ideas of lack, limitation, IMpossibility, and “yes, but…”

This passage from John 12 captures the profound irony and divine purpose behind Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where crowds hailed Him as King with palm branches and cries of 'Hosanna,' unaware that their celebration fulfilled Old Testament prophecies pointing to His rejection and crucifixion. The sermon highlights how the people's expectations of a political liberator clashed with Jesus' true mission—to bring eternal salvation through His sacrificial death, a plan foreordained by God and revealed through Scripture, prophecy, and the unfolding of history. It emphasizes that God sovereignly orchestrates even human rebellion, betrayal, and misunderstanding to accomplish His redemptive will, as seen in the contrasting responses of worship (Mary), political fear (Pharisees), and personal denial (Peter), all of which ultimately serve His greater purpose. The central message underscores the necessity of faith in Christ alone, the boundless grace that restores even the most broken, and the precision of God's care in fulfilling His promises through the cross. Ultimately, the passage calls believers to reject neutrality, embrace God's grace, and trust in His sovereign, comprehensive revelation found in Scripture.

The Impossibility of Living a Christian Life Hebrews 10:19-25

When Ben Crowe, world-renowned professional mentor and leadership coach, tells us his favourite mantra, we listen. “I am enough no matter what, but I’m not done yet”.

Selecting the Topic for Discussion: Jevon Perra reviewed the remaining topics in the *Manual for Teachers*, including questions about healing, the perception of the order of difficulties, changes required in God's teachers' life situations, and how judgment is relinquished. They and Soo Kim decided to skip ahead to the topic of how judgment is relinquished.Relinquishing Judgment as Misunderstanding of Wisdom: Soo Kim read from *A Course in Miracles* that judgment, like other devices used to maintain the world of illusions, is misunderstood and is confused with wisdom. They noted that the world aims to strengthen good judgment and minimize bad judgment, but that there are no consistent criteria for what constitutes good or bad judgment, making the terms meaningless.Judgment as Projected Reality and Ultimate Perfection: Jevon Perra summarized that judgment is based on an individual's projection of reality, which is subjective and based on their personal goals, and thus does not represent ultimate reality. They asserted that because people do not understand their own best interests, everything that happens is part of a perfect experience orchestrated by a bigger part of themself.Personal Example of Misjudged Events: Soo Kim offered a personal example of requesting a raise early in their career but instead getting insulted, which led to them finding a new job that they considered the best thing that could have happened. Jevon Perra affirmed that one does not know what is in their best interest and that their current reality is perfect because it has been allowed by God.Judgment as an Illusion that Cannot Be Made: Soo Kim read that it is necessary for the teacher of God to realize that they cannot judge, and that giving up judgment is merely giving up an illusion of having something they did not possess. Jevon Perra added that non-duality states there is only one reality, which is being one with the Father, and that perceived separation and problems are due to the "personality me" judgment.The Role of the Character Versus the Observer: Jevon Perra explained that looking through "Christ's eyes" allows one to see sameness and friendship, which contrasts with the character's perspective, which sees obstacles. The character, or "Javon," believes they are the character and is under pressure to succeed, but the observer can watch this drama as an external event.The Drama of Life as Submersive Channels: Jevon Perra compared life experiences to flipping through TV channels that offer submersive experiences. They described how individual scripts, such as Soo Kim's channel, present unique challenges and "pickles," but that these judgments are only those of the character in the script.The Collective Feminine Approach to Conflict: Soo Kim shared that the collective feminine is currently learning to embrace the outward fight, noting that historically women tend to internalize external attacks and direct the fight inward, believing something is wrong with themself. Jevon Perra acknowledged this process as personality development, the second of three levels of reality, which is about learning to be expansive in the world.Navigating Power and Feedback in Personality Development: Jevon Perra explained that the personality development level involves learning how to engage aggressively and wield power in the world, referencing the characterization of a powerful woman as a "b****" in a patriarchal society. This stage involves being open to feedback to make adjustments and add tools to the personality toolbox, but they emphasized this is not the ultimate reality.Ultimate Reality and the Impossibility of Judgment: The ultimate reality, according to Jevon Perra, is that the self has no sex, nothing to gain or lose, and is so great that the entire universe performs within them. Soo Kim read that the aim of the curriculum is the recognition that judgment is impossible because one would need to be fully aware of an inconceivably wide range of past, present, and future events and their effects on everyone.Addressing Stress and the Feeling of Unheard Efforts: Soo Kim disclosed feeling unheard, stressed, and disappointed because they felt their hard work and justified requests at work were overridden without good feedback, making their efforts seem pointless. Soo Kim expressed that they were struggling with a limiting belief of not being good enough, which was previously directed inward and then toward their career.The Disruption of Tactics and the Need for Contentment: Jevon Perra suggested that the painful feeling stems from their reliance on the tactic of making things better to earn their worth, which is being disrupted by a new, incomplete system at work. They discussed how happiness often relates to outcomes, while contentment is a state of being that is good without needing any specific outcome.

Maradona, Pele or Messi? It's the eternal debate. Who is the greatest footballer of all time? According to The Soccer 100, The Athletic's new book ranking football's hundred greatest players, the answer is Messi. But the North London based contributor Amy Lawrence cast a dissenting vote: she chose Pelé, deferring to those who witnessed the Brazilian king's dominance firsthand. The book's official ranking places Maradona second, Pelé third, then Cruyff, Ronaldo, and Di Stefano. But the list reveals something more interesting than rankings: the impossibility of comparing eras. How do we judge players like Alfredo Di Stefano or Ferenc Puskas we've only seen in grainy footage against those, like Messi or Ronaldo, whose every touch has been televised? And why do great footballers like Diego Maradona —masters of intelligence on the pitch—sometimes become such flawed and tragic figures off it?1. The Pelé Problem: Why Nostalgia Matters Amy Lawrence voted for Pelé as number one, even though The Athletic's collective ranking placed Messi first. Her reasoning? “When I grew up, when you spoke to people who were older than you, there wasn't a debate. Pelé was the best.” She deferred to those who witnessed him live—a rare admission that nostalgia might actually be wisdom, not sentimentality.2. Maradona's Genius Was Inseparable from His Madness Lawrence describes Maradona as playing “with a madness...there was something of the kind of intense creative artist about him.” He was a street footballer thrust into Italian mafia management, hacked and kicked because defenders “couldn't stop him by playing football.” His 1986 World Cup remains the most dominant individual performance in history—but his life became the cautionary tale of what happens when raw genius meets extreme celebrity.3. Cruyff Was the Anti-Ronaldo Johan Cruyff “encouraged everybody to think instead of just watch”—a philosopher-footballer who “was a bit of a rebel” and famously skipped the 1978 World Cup (possibly because his wife didn't trust him with the ladies). Contrast that with Cristiano Ronaldo, whom Lawrence describes as “built by design”—the AI-generated footballer, all machine, no poetry. If Ronaldo represents modern football's corporate efficiency, Cruyff embodied its lost intellectual soul.4. Women Journalists Don't Play the Gender Card—But Maybe They Should Lawrence, possibly the only woman among the ten journalists who compiled The Soccer 100, says she “never played the women's card” when arguing for players. But she admits that being a woman in a male-dominated field made her “just a bit more memorable” and perhaps allowed for “a slightly more sensitive line of questioning” that helped players relax. It's a fascinating tension: rejecting gender as relevant while acknowledging its subtle advantages.5. The Impossibility of Comparing Eras Makes These Lists Meaningless—and Essential How do you compare Di Stefano (whom most people have only seen in grainy footage) with Messi (whose entire career has been televised)? Or account for the fact that modern players rack up goals against Lithuania and Andorra, while older players “never got able to pick up goals playing against” minnows?
