Last Tuesday night, Kesha took the stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood to perform a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" with Chevy Metal, a covers band that was led by the Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. During her performance, Kesha had a wardrobe malfunction and overcompensated for it by singing too loudly which caused her to hemorrhage one of her vocal cords. Despite the blunder, Kesha put on an impressive show and was one of many talented singers and musicians who participated in the six-hour fundraising event in honor of late Foo Fighters drummer Hawkins who died in March at the age 50. A: They were massive for me. I was still a teenager but my love for Electronic Music was obvious. They still influence me so much and what's amazing too find out is how those producers were influenced too. Q: Would you still play some of these tracks in your sets? A: As I play House it would be difficult to play the serious drum and bass but the 4/4 stuff would work for sure. So yes I would. Q: Which future projects are on the way? A: Loads. Over the next few months I'm gigging in London, Amsterdam at ADE and Leeds. Musically my current release "Orange 92" which is on Lee Foss label Repopulate Mars is doing well. I'm just finishing some other music of for Glasgow Underground and Under No Illusion.

George Smeddles is enjoying a massive summer of 2018. With releases on VIVa, Under No Illusion, Relief, Sola, and more, he’s on an absolute tear! Outside of his own productions, his label Resonance Records has kicked things up a notch this season as well, bringing out back to back Beatport Top 10 Tech House tracks, and his summer gigs have been spot on as well. Robot 84 has been appearing on our radar more and more over the last 12 month's. His tracks have been supported by DJ's as diverse as Greg Wilson, Erol Alkan, Bill Brewster, Tim Sweeney, Justin Robertson & Rub N Tug and it's not hard to see why. His tracks are sublimely produced and range from shimmering dubby disco, electro-tinged balearica and straight up acid trax. Originally hailing from Scotland and now based in London, Robot84 is the alter-ego of Scott Ferguson, regularly releasing on Pete Gooding's Secret Life imprint as well as recent EP's on ISM, Under No Illusion and a forthcoming release on Cottam's Ruff Draft label.
