Jason and Jared discuss the latest in USMNT news from the week that was. Weston McKennie started off the week making headlines for his pizza conversation with Giogio Chiellini and ended the week leaving Juventus' match with a knock. Christian Pulisic finally looks healthy at Chelsea and has put together a couple of nice games against Juventus and Manchester United - should Gregg consider playing Christian as a false 9? Finally, the USMNT announced where the next matches will take place and an uninspiring World Cup kit leaked. Orlando City reached the postseason without a single player or a head coach deemed worthy of being a finalist for an MLS award for 2021. That's quite a feat! We discuss the MLS Awards finalists and talk a little about the job Oscar Pareja did over the course of the year. We also talked about the persistent Daryl Dike-to-England rumors and I propose an idea. The United States Men's National Team took care of business against Mexico in Cincinnati with another #DosACero and the third win over its archrival during the calendar year. There will be people moping about two dropped points in a 1-1 draw at Jamaica but it's all part of this young team's growth — learning how to respond after an emotional win. That's it for qualifying until 2022, so those four points of a possible six will have to do. With no Orlando Pride news to discuss, we also talked about the upsets in the NWSL playoffs and how interesting the final looks now that the two favorites are out. Good luck to the Washington Spirit and Chicago Red Stars. This week's mailbag asked about some Orlando City youngsters and whether or not they will see the field more in 2022. There was also a question about contract options and we kicked the can a little bit because we can't spoil our annual “stays or goes” show. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 272 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City news is scarce this week but we discuss Daryl Dike rumors and how the Lions can address them. Plus, the USMNT earned some points. 34:32 - Our mailbag asks about Jordan Bender and Derek Dodson and we discuss Tuesday's inevitable draw against Nashville and how it wil resolve itself in the end. The Mane Land: for Orlando City SC fans

Orlando City picked the most dramatic ways to stop the bleeding this past week. The Lions roared back from two goals down on the road, scoring the equalizer in stoppage time to draw 2-2 at Nashville SC in the midweek. Then, on Saturday, Orlando improved on that by scoring a game winner deep in stoppage time in a 2-1 home win over D.C. United. The end of a four-game losing streak, followed by the end of a five-game winless streak, was a welcome sight. Neither of those was easy, but Orlando City found a way to get it done and Oscar Pareja was jubilant to see his team get back in the win column on Saturday. Daryl Dike is a big reason why, with a goal in three consecutive games. Dave Rohe and I broke down both results, which have left the Lions in a good place now that the international break is here. While the team would no doubt love to try to continue its positive momentum, there is nothing wrong with stopping at a good spot and maybe getting some guys healthy and rested for a vital final stretch run. We also talked about Dike's iconic goal celebration and how it stacked up against another favorite in the team's history. The Orlando Pride did not play on the road at Chicago this past week as the fallout of the Paul Riley news and subsequent departure of Lisa Baird as NWSL commissioner had ripple effect throughout a league that is trying to recover from a collective trauma and move forward in a way that both makes sense and, most importantly, protects its players from predatory behavior. That protection means nothing if the system that can stop such behavior is fundamentally broken, flawed, or flat out misused by those in charge. We wish nothing but the best for the NWSL's talented players and demand that the NWSL finds some system-wide fixes. This week's mailbag asks about Orlando City and Pride versions of player Mount Rushmores, scary movies, halftime shows, and comebacks. If there's anything — and we do mean anything — you want us to address on the next show, just ask by tweeting it to us at @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. We close the show with some USMNT World Cup qualifier discussion about the roster, some key injuries, and the upcoming matches. That's all for this week. Stay safe and enjoy the show! Here's how No. 266 went down: 0:15 - Orlando City left it late both times but got a draw and a win against top Eastern Conference competition. It was stressful, but we'll take it. 39:48 - The NWSL has some extremely important business to take care of in the wake of the Paul Riley news that dropped last week. It must answer for what was done and it must make sure it does everything it can to prevent it in the future. Plus, our mailbag and some USMNT talk. Learn more about your ad choices. It’s a rare PawedCast when we get to talk about three wins and a draw but that’s what we’ve got for you this week. We’re breaking down Orlando City’s 6-1 win over the New England Revolution and a 0-0 draw against FD Dallas in a productive double game week. We’ve got plenty of decisions to discuss, like the red card handed to New England (and its subsequent rescinding) and the ineligible player situation against Dallas. Plus our Man of the Match picks for both games. We’ve also got plenty to say about OCB’s road win at Richmond, thanks to Hadji Barry’s late goal. And the Pride went to Shield-winning North Carolina and got the win but lost Camila in the process. We’re talking about that, plus the team’s historic first playoff game at Portland not only among ourselves but also with Pride forward Jasmyne Spencer! She’s here to let you know the Pride are ready for all challenges — something that’s been a theme this season. Plus, we’ve got a little salacious story from TMZ, our #AskTMLPC mailbag, and the upcoming USMNT World Cup qualifiers. How No. 106 brought it home: 0:12- The Lions put the Revs on full blast but didn’t quite have enough ammo left over to get one past FC Dallas. Might those three points come from Dallas anyway? We discuss that, plus OCB, the Pride, Camila, the Portland Thorns, and more. 56:30- Jasmyne Spencer joins us to tell us about how she slept through the Pride clinching a playoff spot, how excited she is to be part of a team banging on all cylinders, and how the team is confident going into Portland. 1:11:19- The mailbag wants to know about Jason Kreis’ comments about the fans, the possibility of a Dallas forfeit, why Cyle Larin hasn’t started, and more. After two good performances without good results, Orlando City went back to a bad performance with a bad result in a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of the New England Revolution. We talk about it as little as we can get away with and still manage to give out our Man of the Match awards. We had more bad news to discuss in the form of Will Johnson’s arrest and Pierre Da Silva’s one-game USL suspension. But it wasn’t all bad, we promise! We got to talk about OCB and the Orlando Pride getting results and extending their streaks. And here to tell us more about the Pride this week is rookie Rachel Hill, a hero in the 4-2 win over Boston last weekend. She was fun to talk to and we’re sure you’ll enjoy hearing what she had to say about the Pride’s run of form, her trade from Portland to Orlando, playing with Alex Morgan and Marta, and more. We’ve also got USMNT World Cup qualifiers to discuss, our mailbag (tweet us with hashtag #AskTMLPC ), our key match-ups and predictions for Saturday’s trip to D.C. United, and we probably referenced way too many movies and TV shows this week as well. Here’s the way No. 102 went: 0:12- We have talked about a lot of losses this year but none of them felt as repugnant as the one last weekend against the Revs. But at least we came back up a bit with some OCB and Pride talk! 37:49- Rachel Hill scored her first professional brace last weekend and what better way to top that accomplishment than by hanging out with us? OK, lots of ways, but Rachel was a fun guest to talk to and we’re glad she was here. 53:33- USMNT qualifying, our #AskTMLPC mailbag, plus our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City at D.C. Sometimes we can be big ol’ windbags (OK, most of the time), but we really had a lot to discuss this week despite the fact that neither Orlando City nor the Orlando Pride were in action this past weekend. We talked about Orlando City B’s 1-1 draw with the Rochester Rhinos, the USMNT’s World Cup qualifying efforts, the USWNT’s European trip, Alex Morgan’s return, the U.S. Open Cup, the upcoming match vs. Montreal Impact, and a whole lot more. Joining us this week is former Orlando City and current Miami FC center back Brad Rusin, who talks about returning to the City Beautiful for a competitive match against an MLS side he helped build in its early years in the USL. Brad also talked about his journey since leaving Orlando, what the Open Cup means, how he approaches the game, and how he once poached a goal from Tyler Turner. We also answered your questions from Twitter (use #AskTMLPC and hit us up with a tweet) and looked ahead with key match-ups and predictions for Orlando City’s upcoming games.  Here’s how it all went down: 0:12- With Orlando City and the Pride off this weekend, we looked back at OCB’s draw against Rochester, including the Orlando debut of Josh Saunders. Plus, USMNT World Cup qualifying and that dazzling Michael Bradley chip! 24:34- Brad Rusin jumps on and acknowledges that Orlando fans probably weren’t thrilled with his stint at Tampa Bay, but he owned up to it and had a lot to say about his new team, Miami FC. 39:14- The USWNT, Alex Morgan, Marta, the U.S. U-23 women (and Dani Weatherholt), plus U.S. Open Cup pontificating, key match-ups and predictions for the Montreal Impact match, our mailbag, and more!
