Send us a textWhat if your hen house burned tonight—would your plan hold? We sit down with Brett Cohrs, CRM and Senior Vice President at Palomar Insurance, to unpack what's really changing in poultry insurance and how leaders can turn risk management into a competitive edge. From rate softening for large layered property programs to tighter appetites for smaller growers, Brett explains why deductibles are climbing, which choices actually move premiums, and how to prepare your balance sheet for higher retention without jeopardizing growth. We get specific about fire risk in modern barns. Annual infrared scanning, true 100‑foot separation, and two‑hour fire doors in corridors and processing areas now sit at the center of underwriting scrutiny. Cage‑free has multiplied exposure: bigger single‑site values, more motors and controls, and dust acting as fine fuel. We talk through why control systems built to protect birds can unintentionally feed a blaze, and how purpose‑built barn technology can detect abnormal heat, trigger early response, and keep a local incident from becoming a total loss.Beyond property, Brett maps the risk terrain producers often overlook: product recall in decentralized models, employment practices liability as regulations shift, cyber exposures to connected controls, and the market shocks that turn a covered loss into a larger business interruption claim. He shares practical guidance for building a winning submission—accurate valuations, defensible BI calculations, documented maintenance, and clear contingencies for parts, graders, and egg sourcing—plus scenario exercises every manager should run before renewal. If you lead an egg or poultry operation, this conversation will help you decide where to invest first, which practices underwriters reward, and how to design a program that survives bad days and funds growth on good ones. Subscribe, share with your team, and leave a review with the one change you'll make next week to improve your farm's risk posture.Hosted by Brandon Mulnix - Director of Commercial Accounts - Prism ControlsThe Poultry Leadership Podcast is only possible because of its sponsor, Prism ControlsFind out more about them at www.prismcontrols.com

Christian Chan, chief investment officer, at AssetMark, says that markets should remain favorable for as long as economic conditions stay modestly positive, but he notes that the artificial-intelligence boom is helping to ensure that's the outcome, putting a floor under how much damage can be suffered in any financial storms. Chan says he expects those storms to stop short of a recession and he's not as sure as some observers that the market itself is in a bubble; he expects the Federal Reserve to cut rates, but notes that they won't go too low for too long, which should help the economy move forward without hurting the fixed-income markets. Behavioral finance expert Terrance Odean, a professor at the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley, discusses what investors do wrong when they are staring down bubbly conditions and how they ought to behave when markets are frothy and the experts are concerned about what the end of a rally will look like. Kathryn Berkenpas, managing director of corporate growth for the CFP Board of Standards discusses the biggest financial regrets from Generation X, whose oldest members are turning 60 this year. A CFP Board of Standards survey of Gen-Xers, showed that nearly half felt they made financial moves that have ultimately cost them at least $100,000 in what they could have saved simply by pursuing better money behaviors.

Jeffrey Epstein's Zorro Ranch in New Mexico was a sprawling 10,000-acre compound in Santa Fe County that became one of the most infamous properties linked to his alleged sex-trafficking network. A portion of the land—roughly 1,200 acres—was not privately owned but leased from the New Mexico State Land Office through Epstein's shell company, Cypress Inc., under an agricultural land-use contract. State officials later revealed that the lease had been maintained for decades without oversight or genuine agricultural activity, effectively allowing Epstein to use public land as a privacy buffer for his secluded estate. After Epstein's 2019 arrest and death, the New Mexico State Land Office canceled the lease, citing violations of public trust and misuse of state property. Investigations showed that Epstein's lease terms, which were intended for grazing, were instead used to create restricted access zones around the compound, preventing entry onto land that technically belonged to the people of New Mexico.Epstein also took advantage of New Mexico's age of consent laws, which set the legal threshold at 17 years old, to minimize his legal exposure in the state. When he moved operations to Zorro Ranch after his 2008 conviction in Florida, New Mexico officials determined that because his victim in that case had been 17, he did not meet the criteria to register as a sex offender under their state laws. This legal loophole allowed him to reside and travel freely in New Mexico without the stigma or restrictions of public registration. Critics later called the decision “deeply troubling,” noting that Epstein's influence, wealth, and legal resources enabled him to exploit state-level legal distinctions to shield himself from scrutiny. The combination of public land privilege and lenient age statutes made Zorro Ranch a legal gray zone—one that Epstein used to his advantage until the state finally revoked his land rights years after his death.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Donna Adelson Trial: Jailhouse Snitch Says She Offered Grand Piano for Favorable Testimony The Trial of Donna Adelson took another shocking turn as jurors heard from a jailhouse witness who claims Donna tried to bribe her for favorable testimony. The inmate told the court that while the two were housed together, Donna offered her something completely out of the ordinary: a grand piano. It was a bizarre promise, but prosecutors argue it was a desperate attempt by the accused matriarch to buy her way out of accountability. According to the witness, Donna didn't just float the idea casually—she pressed the point, suggesting that she could arrange for the extravagant gift if the inmate would help her by testifying in a way that supported her defense. The inmate described how unusual and suspicious the offer felt, painting a picture of a woman who was still trying to manipulate the system even from behind bars. Prosecutors seized on this testimony to argue that Donna's mindset hasn't changed. Just as they claim she orchestrated a murder-for-hire plot for the benefit of her family, now, years later, she was still trying to pull strings from her jail cell—using wealth, influence, and extravagant promises to bend others to her will. For jurors, the story of a jailhouse “grand piano bribe” was almost surreal, but it underscored the prosecution's central theme: Donna Adelson is always plotting, always maneuvering, always working to stay in control. The defense, of course, will attack the credibility of a jailhouse snitch, arguing that inmates have every incentive to fabricate stories for their own benefit. But the detail and sheer oddity of this alleged bribe may be exactly what makes it stick in the minds of jurors. It's not just the money trail or the wiretaps anymore—it's the extreme lengths Donna Adelson was allegedly willing to go to protect herself, even from inside a cell. #DonnaAdelsonTrial #JailhouseSnitch #GrandPianoBribe #TrueCrimeTrial #DanMarkelMurder #CourtroomDrama #MurderForHireCase #DonnaAdelson #JusticeForDanMarkel #TrialCoverage Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover explosive new evidence of an Obama-era conspiracy against Donald Trump, major shifts in U.S. manufacturing and agriculture, high-stakes diplomacy before the Trump–Putin meeting, the collapse of Ukraine's front lines, and a mysterious American drone mission deep into Mexico. Newly Declassified Email Exposes Obama-Era Conspiracy: A Top Secret 2016 email from NSA Director Mike Rogers to James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey reveals deep concerns over Obama's rushed Intelligence Community Assessment on alleged Trump–Russia collusion. The correspondence confirms intelligence officials were pressured to rubber-stamp a politically driven report that included the discredited Steele Dossier. Bryan details why this is foundational evidence of a seditious conspiracy. GE Appliances Moves Production Back to the U.S.: Trump's tariff strategy prompts GE Appliances, formerly owned by a Chinese company, to relocate manufacturing of ranges and refrigerators from Mexico and China to plants in Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina, creating 1,000 new jobs. U.S. Farm and Ranch Report: Bred heifer prices hit record highs as cattle herd sizes remain at 1950s lows, keeping beef prices elevated. Favorable rains and cheaper feed are encouraging herd rebuilding, while the dangerous New World screwworm threatens to cross the border from Mexico. Crop conditions are generally good, but trade restrictions tied to tariffs are shifting agricultural export strategies. Mexico Sends 26 Cartel Members to U.S. Custody: President Claudia Sheinbaum transfers dangerous cartel figures to the United States, defying Mexico's constitution under technical loopholes. The move follows White House pressure to prevent cartel leaders from escaping Mexican prisons and resuming drug and human trafficking operations. Trump and European Allies Set Ukraine Negotiation Red Lines: Ahead of tomorrow's Alaska meeting with Vladimir Putin, Trump and European leaders agree on five conditions for peace talks, including a cease-fire, starting territorial discussions from current front lines, and securing binding Western security guarantees. European leaders will not attend the Alaska talks, leaving the White House to own the negotiations and their outcome. Ukraine's Front Lines Near Collapse: Russian forces, bolstered by North Korean mercenaries, gain six miles in the Donetsk region through relentless “meat wave” assaults. Ukrainian soldiers are frustrated with leadership, and public support for the war has collapsed, with 69 percent now favoring a negotiated settlement. Bryan warns that without fresh troops or a change in strategy, Ukraine risks losing the entire country. U.S. Drone Conducts Deep Strike Recon in Mexico: An American MQ-9 Reaper drone flew 600 miles into cartel-controlled territory in Michoacán before shutting off its transponders. The mission likely signals upcoming U.S. military action against cartels, with or without Mexican government cooperation, as Trump accelerates his campaign against foreign and domestic enemies. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: Obama-era Trump-Russia conspiracy, declassified Mike Rogers email, GE Appliances reshoring, U.S. cattle herd prices, New World screwworm threat, Mexico extradites cartel members, Trump Putin Alaska meeting, Ukraine front lines collapse, Donetsk Russian advance, U.S. drone Mexico cartel mission

RUNDOWN Piano lessons, online gambling in the Cayman Islands, and Louis Armstrong trivia. We've got it all. Mitch and Hotshot dissects Ichiro's Hall of Fame speech, particularly his omission of managers like Lou Piniella. Mitch and Hotshot Scott unpack the Mariners' blockbuster moves—bringing back Eugenio Suarez and adding Josh Naylor at the trade deadline—instantly transforming a middling offense into one of the most dangerous in baseball. They contrast the current optimism with the baffling decision to trade Suarez last year for pennies, which may have cost the team a playoff spot. With Bryce Miller returning to form after injury and the offense now averaging nearly five runs per game, the duo argues that anything less than a playoff berth would be a major disappointment for the 2025 Mariners. David Samson join Mitch and reflects on his relationship with Ichiro Suzuki after being name-checked in Ichiro's Hall of Fame speech — including a humorous jab at the Miami Marlins. Samson details their deep personal friendship, Ichiro's elite preparation and humility, and why he believes Ichiro still deserves a roster spot even today. The conversation pivots to MLB trade deadline winners and losers, with Seattle emerging as a serious AL contender, and whether Cal Raleigh's heroic season could translate into an MVP — if Judge stumbles. Samson also criticizes the anonymous voter who snubbed Ichiro from a unanimous Hall induction, calling it “cowardice. Joe Doyle and Brady Farkas (Mariners No-Table) break down Seattle's pivotal week: winning three of four against Texas, the return of Eugenio Suarez, and a stretch that has them closing in on the AL West lead. The trio analyzes the revamped lineup, including Julio's hot August and Randy Arozarena in the leadoff spot, while also addressing Cal Raleigh's slump and bullpen concerns. They assess Bryce Miller's return timeline, why the team passed on Jhoan Duran, and whether George Kirby and Logan Gilbert can anchor the final playoff push. Out-on-a-limb predictions and plenty of Mariner optimism round out the episode. Brady Henderson joins Mitch Unfiltered to break down the top three storylines from Seahawks training camp: the major quarterback transition from Geno Smith to Sam Darnold, a loaded and returning defensive core with a few key injury concerns, and a possible shift in the running back hierarchy as Zach Charbonnet gains favor. Henderson also highlights emerging rookie wide receiver Tory Horton as more than just a training camp darling, weighs in on trade rumors involving Micah Parsons and Terry McLaurin, and offers key insight into position group battles, injury timelines, and contract status updates.
