Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Troy Miller, President & CEO of National Religious Broadcasters (NRB). This was a special 2024 election program titled "America at a Crossroads." The timely conversation with Troy Miller on America's Roundtable focuses on the significance for Christians to vote in US elections in preserving freedom of speech and religious freedom. The conversation brings to the forefront the court case against the "Johnson Amendment", and the crucial role of the faith community in engaging in key public policy issues impacting families and their local communities. A recent study released by Arizona Christian University, led by Dr. George Barna, indicates that 32 million regular Christian church attenders are unlikely to vote this election. While this major voting block upholds Judeo-Christian values and principles, the study reveals apathy among Christian voters could be a "gamechanger" this election, according to Barna. Mr. Miller also shares about his recent visit to Israel and the tragedy of the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group murdering 1200 individuals and taking 250 hostages on October 7, 2023. Miller speaks about the importance of the faith community in combating anti-Semitism and presents moral clarity in standing with Israel and the Jewish community in the West. Miller is a senior executive with more than 30 years of management and business experience. He has served as the interim CEO of NRB since March 2019, assuming leadership during a time of financial crisis. Under Miller's leadership, the association has recaptured a strong financial position, grown its membership and significantly enhanced programming, networking, equipping, sponsorship, and exhibition aspects of the annual NRB International Christian Media Convention. Miller is also currently President & CEO of NRBTV where he has served since June 2005. He served with distinction in the US Navy from 1983-1988, including time assigned to the Naval Engineering Command at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. Miller was part of the commissioning crew of USS Bunker Hill. He worked for personal computer Gateway, Inc. for ten years and was involved in leading several business startups, including Gateway's expansion into Europe and Asia, new manufacturing facilities, and global information technology application strategy. He served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for D. James Kennedy Ministries. Miller has spoken at seminars on strategic business planning, information technology integration, organizational development, and Christian apologetics, as well as training pastors in the Far East. americasrt.com (https://americasrt.com/) https://ileaderssummit.org/ | https://jerusalemleaderssummit.com/ America's Roundtable on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/americas-roundtable/id1518878472 Twitter: @NRBCEO @ileaderssummit @NatashaSrdoc @JoelAnandUSA @supertalk America's Roundtable is co-hosted by Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy, co-founders of International Leaders Summit and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit. Years of exit polls tell us that the outcome of this election may come down to white women who, at 40%, make up the majority of the entire electorate. But what can be done about the fact that white women have a track record of voting more conservatively in the majority of presidential elections since 1950, even when a fellow white woman was an option? This week, host Sarah Jones talks to activist and organizer Shannon Watts about the often overlooked power white women hold in politics and why it's so consistently leveraged against their own interests.  You can follow Sarah Jones, see pod updates, and respond to AWHY prompts @yesimsarahjones on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. It is time to be all in. Our fate is in our own hands, and while vaccine hesitancy continues to befuddle many of us, the Mo' Man takes a beat to outline some of the numbers around who and why people are not getting the shot. A recent You Gov poll analyzed by Philip Bump of the Washington Post finds an overlay of about 1 in 8 people who are not worried, not vaxxed and not wearing a mask. Also on the table: Chris outlines what he sees as a new coalition to tap into: the vaccinated among us. Both left and right who are fully vaxxed and getting fed up with the continuing lackadaisical response from their fellow  Americans.  Those who don't or won't get the shot, are in essence holding the rest back from a return to normalcy. This could be a substantial voting block come 2022.Cuom'ote of the Day: "I like them because the vaccinated are people who are openly reasonable and they are not defined by party. With that in mind, WNYC published two stories to help voters understand the two major candidates on the ballot: Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Kim Guadagno. SOUTH JERSEY DEM MACHINE, TEACHERS' UNION BARREL TOWARD ELECTION DAY In South Jersey, two of the most powerful political forces in the state are going head-to-head: Sen. President Steve Sweeney and the New Jersey Education Associate. Although Sweeney's opponent on the ballot is technically Republican Fran Grenier, Philly.com says his real opponent is the 200,000-member NJEA, which vowed to defeat Sweeney back in March and has spent millions of dollars trying to accomplish that goal. HOW SECURE ARE NEW JERSEY'S VOTING MACHINES? You know those claw machines on the boardwalk in Atlantic City? Ever taken your laundry to a cleaners and weighed it on the scale? You might be surprised to learn that both of those seemingly innocuous devices are actually subject to more state regulation that the voting machines in New Jersey. The Record has the full story on how and why this is the case. FOREST HILL RESIDENTS: NEWARK AND NEW JERSEY MUST LOCK ARMS TO EMBRACE THE FUTURE Brick City Live takes us into the heart of Newark's Forest Hill neighborhood to speak with residents there about their thoughts on tomorrow's election as part of the ongoing Voting Block collaboration. As is the case with many voters in New Jersey, the biggest issues on their minds were taxes and the relationship between their city and the state of New Jersey. VOTING BLOCK: APATHY, ANXIETY AHEAD OF TUESDAY'S VOTE Last month, NJ Pen spoke with neighbors on East Stiles Avenue, a small, tightly knit street in the Camden County Democratic stronghold of Collingswood, about how they handle politics in their neighborhood. In the latest installment in the Voting Block project, Matt Skoufalos tries to figure what it takes to get them to the polls. WEST NEW YORK RESIDENTS DISPLAY RESILIENCE THEY EXPECT FROM NEXT GOVERNOR The mile-long, densely populated town of West New York – nestled in the heart of the North Hudson – is represented by some of the most passionate residents in the state. On the eve of the upcoming gubernatorial election, Kevin Castillo met with residents to hear their opinions and the expectations they have for the next governor of New Jersey as part of the Voting Block reporting project. MORRISTOWN HISTORIC DISTRICT DODGES DEADLY CARBON MONOXIDE; RESIDENT KNOCKS OUT FIRE, FIREFIGHTERS SAVE CATS Several homes in Morristown’s Historic District were evacuated Wednesday night after a downed power line set fire to a fence and an underground electrical condition filled three houses with dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. Luckily, Kevin Coughlin of Morristown Green says a quick-thinking resident put out the fire with a kitchen extinguisher. After the residents were moved to safety, Morristown firefighters went back into one of the evacuated homes and saved five cats from the deadly gas.
