We are animated over this week's episode! Well, Kelsey is. Mark is re-animated because he has already seen Re-Animator and Pet Sematary, both Geriatric Cinematics. In the news, we cover John Cusack almost getting the role of Hannibal Lecter in the Hannibal TV series, and Issa Rae and Jordan Peele's Monkey Paw production company getting the rights to Sinkhole. In between our glorious Geriatric Cinematics, we discuss a new deal between Universal and AMC following their dispute over the release of Trolls World Tour to video on demand in our Variety Time. Here will, however, be no disputes between us about film deals, cat tossing or bringing things back to life in any for or fashion. Next week's show will have a Recent Review that everyone is sure to talk about! We'll be giving a hard look at David Ayer's latest movie, The Tax Collector, which will be available to rent this Friday on VOD. We'll see if the Shia LaBeouf starring movie can hold up against the classic film set in Los Angeles, William Friedkin's To Live and Die In L.A. Come back and see what we think of both of these movies! Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@TheReelAppeal), Facebook, Instagram, and you can contact the show at TheReelAppeal@gmail.com. We are continuing our teen girl throwback theme with another winner from the early 2000’s, Josie and the Pussycats! The music is as hot as Alan M and we are excited to talk about this pitch perfect satire.
I talk about what I've been watching lately, most notably the Tiger King documentary on Netflix.
Do you ever see a cat out in the world and it's so effing cute that you instantly need to know everything about it? Well, that happened to me! Song sample from "What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones

This week on MYTH, it’s part three of our three part, lighthearted series on trickster animals. You’ll learn that your pet just isn’t pulling it’s weight, that lying will get you anything you want, and that being rich is better than being smart. Then, in Gods and Monsters, you’ll see that even a magical talking cat isn’t the most dangerous cat-related monster hanging around Italy.

It's The Vintage Rebellions 50th Episode, so we launch with an extended episode (yes extended if you can believe that) to celebrate the milestone with no less than 9 (yes NINE) guests. The team welcome a whole array of guests to celebrate. Chris Porteous joins Stuart and Richard for this months interview as the boys discuss Canadian items, Tantive forum and Quebec items as well as many other things. In the New Acquisitions section the lads are joined by not 1 but 5 guests, all welcomed on to share their knowledge. The items discussed range from mint carded figures to Star Wars arcade games, from store displays to everyone's favourite Twin Pod Cloud Car. Rebel Briefings covers a range of new discoveries in the community including some amazing store displays. You'll be bangers to miss it. It's a bumper Beyond the Newest Acquisitions where we scour the collecting universe for Twin Pod Cloud Car collectables, and in Gimcrack Richard pulls all the wrong strings. Simon waxes lyrical (drones on) about more exciting and varied eBay sales, gets all animated about the amount of bargains turning up at UK salesrooms, is (thankfully) speechless regarding the recent Hakes sale and speaks to Mark Daniels who 'fesses up about running the re-seal market. It's a podcast full of records, as this month's quiz is so long it could be a podcast in its own right. To end this special edition we welcome back to speak to Edd Grant in this months What's New Pussycat as we revisit his collecting habits since we spoke to him three years ago. All this plus all the usual shenanigans and banter. Enjoy the show!
The Vintage Rebellion celebrates their four year anniversary by giving our listeners a six hour delight. Stuart and Simon are joined by 12 inch collecting legend Lee Bullock, where he discusses his early memories, trading in the current climate and of course his expertise in Star Wars dollies. Rebel Briefing sees Rich look at our hopes for Vintage Star Wars at Celebration before delving into an old discussion on 20/21 backs and more. In this months NA the lads review some more awesome purchases from across Facebook and the forums. They even take a look into the future, from the past. The section is completed with an in depth look at the Darth Vader Carry Case with a little help from Chris G. Who had ever heard of a Red Darth Vader Carry Case?? The Market section becomes fully operational with the Death Star eBay find. Plus Simon scurries around the UK auction action and visits Steve Taylor at Toy Planet to hear about a 90s dealer stock that time forgot. Pete takes us beyond the NA as he looks at some strange Darth Vader items as well as bringing us a top fiver related to the heavy breathing Dark Lord. And of course he brings us Gimcrack of the month as once again Jez doesn't fully understand the concept. And what better way to celebrate four years of this show than to have Episode 11 guest Bruce White return to catch up during What's New PussyCat. All this plus the usual quiz, Celebration update, and many moments of abusing the weaker members of the cast (Richard, Jez and Simon). Enjoy the show!!!

Movie producer Charles K. Feldman (A Streetcar Named Desire, What's New Pussycat?) was in a bind with the rights to the first James Bond novel, Ian Fleming's Casino Royale. Albert Broccoli, Howard Saltzman and Eon Productions had beat him to the punch, releasing four successful Bond films with star Sean Connery, and using many of Casino Royale's best set pieces. Feldman felt the only feasible way to approach the story was in a psychedelic, satiric direction, hiring five directors and a who's who of sixties movie stars to blow up and blow out the James Bond story to epically wacky proportions. David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, Deborah Kerr, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Joanna Petit, John Huston and Barbara Bouchet star. Dan and Vicky have fun trying to make sense of this very odd addition to the James Bond legacy. They also talk about a car accident and FaceTime affecting their Mother's Day plans, Dan getting cast in the new web series "West 40s" and Dan's surprise phone conversation with a Casino Royale star! Recently seen includes discussions of older films like Scorsese's King of Comedy and After Hours, Woody Allen's Manhattan, 1942's Mrs. Miniver, and George Romero's Martin and newer films like Paul Verhoeven's Elle, Snatched, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. TV talk includes Master of None, Kimmy Schmidt and Great News. Hot Date 52 gives you that Look of Love with 1967's Casino Royale. Take a listen and give us some feedback.
Kirsty Young's castaway is the singer Sir Tom Jones. In a career spanning fifty years he's sold 150 million albums and his hits have included It's Not Unusual, What's New Pussycat? and Delilah. As a child it was assumed he'd follow in his father's footsteps and become a miner. But he developed TB when he was twelve and doctors warned his parents against sending their only son to the pit; they said his lungs were too weak. Now aged seventy, he has no plans to retire. "Singing's like breathing to me", he says, "my voice drives me, it tells me that I have to do it".
