Coming up this Saturday on Finding Your Bliss, we have a show devoted to musical theatre and a beyond gifted composer and theatre creator, that many are comparing to Stephen Sondheim. Celebrity Interviewer and Bliss Coach Judy Librach is joined by the masterful and uber talented Andrew Seok. Andrew Seok began his career as a Musical Theatre Singer & Composer, moved onto Vocal Coach, then Singer / Songwriter, Record Producer, TV / Film Composer, Theatre Creator, and Filmmaker. After the success of his first musical, “ECHOES”, Andrew went on to produce and direct its feature film version, which screened at The Reelworld Film Festival, The Montreal World Film Festival, and Fort Meyers Film Festival. He is currently in the final stages of post production for his second musical film “What Am I Without You?”, and has written and directed the musical short film, “Because of You”, as well as the dance short film, “Everything” where the entire story is told through music and contemporary dance. In addition, Andrew created the short musical documentary, “Birth of a Song”. On top of all of this, in 2019, Andrew wrote the Toronto Fringe Festival hit, UNRAVELLED as his second live stage musical project, and followed that up with his critically acclaimed mega musical, “The Man With The Golden Heart” in 2023. Most recently, in 2024, Andrew premiered, “Rosamund – A New Musical”, a reimagining of Sleeping Beauty, with the entire run selling out in a matter of days. Each night of the 11 night run not only had a sold out crowd, but was accompanied by very exuberant and lengthy standing ovations. The show was a runaway hit! Everything Seok does is marked by a stroke of genius. He is a man of many talents; a modern-day media renaissance man! As a Juno nominated music producer, he has written and produced music for worldwide campaigns for Nike, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Visa, Dove, X-Box, The Super Bowl, BMW, Dragonball Z, as well as numerous TV series such as: “Playmakers” (ESPN), “Global Morning Show”, “Canada's Worst Driver”, numerous shows on the Discovery Channel, and “Addicted To Plastic” (Netflix). He has worked for Feist, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace), Jully Black, Jeff Healey, and Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Anastasia). Among his recent projects, Andrew has written a short musical film “90 Days” – a love story during Covid times, and his upcoming feature-length musical film “Where Do We Go From Here?”, which delves into the intricacies of modern relationships. Andrew is also currently the artistic director of Eclipse Theatre Company in Toronto. Our interview was fascinating, fun and a wonderful glimpse into the magnificent artistry of this great talent. Former President Donald Trump is facing "insurmountable difficulties" in obtaining a bond to satisfy the $464 million civil fraud judgment, his attorneys said Monday in a new appellate court filing, and the magnitude of which would require him to use real estate as collateral.Judge Arthur Engoron in February ordered Trump to pay $464 million in disgorgement and interest after holding him liable for doing a decade's worth of business with fraudulent financial statements that overvalued his real estate holdings and hyped his wealth. Trump was also barred from leading any New York company for three years. His sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump were also fined $4 million apiece and barred for two years."Defendants have faced what have proven to be insurmountable difficulties in obtaining an appeal bond for the full $464 million," according to an affirmation by Trump Organization general counsel Alan Garten. While his lawyer said Trump is "financially stable" and maintains "substantial assets," the magnitude of the judgment would require him to use his real estate as collateral for the bond. So far, according to Garten's affirmation, no surety bond provider approached by Trump is willing to accept real estate as collateral, including Chubb, the insurance giant underwriting Trump's $91.6 million bond to cover the $83 million judgment in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, plus interest.Surprise, Surprise! Putin Wins Another Russian “Election” That Vladimir Putin won his “election” is not a shocker. Exit polls show he came away with 88% of the vote. That it wasn't 100% is the surprise. The “win” gives Putin six more years in power at a time when his invasion of Ukraine has the world fearing what he'll do next. Trump gave a whopper of a campaign speech over the weekend. He warned of “bloodshed” if he doesn't win in November. He also said the January 6th Committee should be jailed and that some undocumented immigrants aren't people. It seems he's doubling down on the hate and revenge.True Crime Corner brings Courtney to the show with a story she's been researching for weeks. In Episode 198 Gary looks at the problem of misinformation in the EV and renewables world. We know there's always been issues of people spreading bad information about EVs (The first episode of this podcast was called ‘Myths and Legends', after all). But recently it seems that the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) surrounding EVs has stepped up a notch. We talk with Quentin Willson and Claire Cullen from Stop Burning Stuff about this issue.Within our EV bubble it's often easy to forget that what people gear on social media (and even mainstream media) can influence them a lot more than we imagine. With newspapers printing anti-EV marticles daily how can we combat this?Guest Details: With over two decades of experience in strategic marketing across the energy, digital, and not-for-profit sectors, Claire has a wealth of expertise in campaign development and communications. She has supported the Fully Charged Show marketing activities for a number of years so has a good grounding in the sector, and is a keen advocate for the transition to clean energy and transport. In her role as head of the #StopBurningStuff initiative, she works with subject matter experts and draws upon the real life experiences of EV drivers to address misinformation, promote the truth, and provide a credible source of information on EVs and clean energy to politicians, the media and the general public. @StopBSCampaign on Twitter Motoring journalist and transport campaigner Quentin Willson is one of Britain's best known automotive media faces. He presented BBC Top Gear for ten years along with Fifth Gear, Britain's Worst Driver, The Classic Car Show and The Car's The Star, has authored 11 motoring books and won The British Press Awards - Motoring Writer of the Year. In 2020 he founded FairCharge, an EV campaign group to make EV transition more understood, accessible, and affordable, and to push the Government to drive the energy transition forward. Quentin is an EV pioneer having been driving EVs daily since 2009, has owned seven different battery-only models and currently own two EVs.This season of the podcast is sponsored by Zapmap, the free to download app that helps EV drivers search, plan, and pay for their charging.Links:Stop Burning Stuff on LinkedInStop Burning Stuff on Twitter/XStop Burning Stuff Patreon linkRevealed: Scale of The Telegraph's Climate Change ‘Propaganda' - DeSmogEpisode produced by Arran Sheppard at Urban Podcasts: https://www.urbanpodcasts.co.uk(C) 2019-2023 Gary Comerford Social Media:Patreon Link: http://www.patreon.com/evmusingsKo-fi Link: http://www.ko-fi.com/evmusings EVMusings: Twitter https://twitter.com/MusingsEvand Facebook http://www.facebook.com/The-EV-Musings-Podcast-2271582289776763Octopus Energy...

Minute Thirty-Six: From Empty Bed in a County Hospital to Chained Hammer in an Impact Crater We're digging deep into the movie as well as the impact crater in the thirty-sixth minute of Kenneth Branagh's 2011 film Thor... Before we get back to Mjølnir's impact crater, we return to the County Hospital. Even the god's-eye view shots that Branagh uses in this film end up as dutch angles. They're so great! Jane really wants to find Thor specifically for the science. He's evidence. He can tell her all about what it was like in that event. They really focus on Jane and her science in this film. And it works well. Thor is hot, and for a lot of people that's why they'd return to him but we talk about how there's an entirely possible reaction from Jane that it's really all about science here. Even if he wasn't hot but was gross with a beard down to his knees, she'd likely want to talk to him. Erik really seems to be getting a better sense of what's really going on. He's a scientist also, but brings the older wisdom. But is Erik starting to get a sense that this person may be somebody from his storybook tales? At least Erik is trying to keep everyone alive. Darcy is fine tracking him down, but apparently ready to tase him again. But why does she cock her taser like a gun? They don't work that way. First she forces Darcy to drive into an atmospheric disturbance, then hit Thor, and now back into Thor. Jane clearly shouldn't drive. Jane backs up, and even though we can see Thor walking through the side windows, Jane apparently can't and backs into him. To be fair, she's rather worked up so maybe isn't paying attention that well. But if Thor had his powers, would he dent the Pinzgauer? It's a lot of mass... would it at least push Thor back a bit or knock him over? In the script, this is when he finally realizes where he was. Oh – and Dawn the admissions nurse makes an appearance in the script again. It's so much better than her earlier moment. Too bad we get the bad spelling/slow typer version of Dawn instead of this scripted version. Meanwhile, back at Mjølnir's Impact Crater... Apparently, JMS told everyone in the area and they told all their friends because there are now several dozen people at the impact crater and they're having a great time. One unnamed guy – we'll call him Grilling Townie – has his popup tent and is busy grilling hot dogs. That means it's a serious party! But where the heck is he set up? We never see him again. Billy Swan's “I Can Help” plays throughout this scene. We dig in a bit on him and his career, including his daughters Planet and Sierra. We talk about Pete played by Matt Battaglia and Jake, aka Drunk Townie, played by Joel McCrary. They ham it up quite a bit as they try pulling Mjølnir from its spot but it won't budge. And this is, of course, free entertainment, so it's obviously something all these townies want to be at. But there's a bicycle there. That's one heck of a bike ride to get here! And did we mention everybody is dressed for winter weather, even though this takes place on June 1st according to the MCU's official timeline? Regardless, the townies finally come up with a plan to pull Mjølnir free with a chain wrapped around a hitch in the back of a pickup truck. But whose truck could it be? And did we mention how much Matthew loves JMS's Babylon 5? And he's still out here watching what's going on. Jane, Erik, and Darcy find Thor and the rural New Mexicans try to free Mjølnir at the Impact Crater. So much to talk about! Tune in! A University of Ottawa professor is speaking out against a flashy, hard-to-ignore fundraising campaign by Toronto's Hospital for Sick Kids that uses "war as a metaphor" for the experience of living with a disease. Michael Orsini, a professor in the school of political studies, recently co-authored an editorial that calls out the hospital's new four-part "VS" ad campaign, which depicts patients and former patients literally fighting back — as boxers, wrestlers and soldiers — against the illnesses they're facing. Lori Davison joins the show to explain further. Times they are a-changin' — and diapers need changing, too. With more fathers shouldering a greater share of the child-care load, a London men's group is lobbying local businesses to make diaper duty easier for dads. Dad Club London, a support network for fathers, created a petition asking family-friendly establishments to install change tables in men's washrooms. Earlier this month, the United States passed a law requiring all public federal buildings, such as courthouses and post offices, to include baby stations in bathrooms for both sexes. Brett Roberts, a member of Dad Club London joins the show and gives his thoughts.

Comedian Alonzo Bodden is far more than just the winner of the third season of Last Comic Standing. The former aircraft mechanic had no idea he even wanted to pursue comedy until he got sober over two decades ago and met people in recovery who actually loved what they did for a living who all worked in the entertainment industry. (Also, he'd realized through sharing in the program—and also through teaching aircraft mechanics, arguably the least amusing topic in the world—that he was funny.) And so began a career that first started at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, has included appearances on Conan and Leno, acting roles in Scary Movie 4 and Bringing Down The House and hosting duties on 101 Cars You Must Drive and America's Worst Driver. In this episode, he and After Party's Anna David talk about hot women being one of AA's best initial attractions, discovering your dreams in recovery and how he donated his remarkably clean kidney to his brother, among many other topics.
