Three survivors of Alaskan plane crash rescued; Muslim militants kill 9 in Congo, Africa; King Charles hospitalized from cancer treatment side effects

It's Friday, March 28th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Muslim militants kill 9 in Congo, Africa Muslim militants from the Allied Democratic Forces, a terrorist group, launched a brutal assault in North Kivu, Congo, Africa on March 8th, killing at least nine people, reports International Christian Concern. The attack began at dawn, catching villagers by surprise. Armed with guns and machetes, the Muslims targeted the farming community, swiftly overpowering the residents. The assault, which included the destruction of homes, left dozens of families displaced, worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis in the region. Eastern Congo remains plagued by violence, with more than 100 armed groups vying for control of the region's valuable resources. The innocent civilians continue to bear the heaviest cost. Despite repeated calls for action, the Congo government has been unable to protect its citizens from these frequent raids. According to Open Doors, Congo, Africa is the 35th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. King Charles hospitalized from cancer treatment side effects Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles III was taken to the hospital in a car yesterday after suffering predictable side effects from his cancer treatment, reports The U.S. Sun. He has had to cancel a string of engagements set for today in Birmingham, England. And he was unable to greet Ambassadors of three different nations yesterday. The King was at home at Clarence House last night where he was said to be in good form and continuing to work on State Papers and making calls from his study. (Look at the rooms inside Clarence House). On January 17, 2024, Buckingham Palace announced the King was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. Then, on February 5th, the Palace revealed that the doctors discovered that he had cancer while operating on his prostate. Please pray for the full recovery of King Charles with minimal side effects. Trump affirmed two God-given genders, opposition to transgenderism President Donald Trump criticized gender ideology during a recent Women's History Month event held at the White House on March 25th. He reaffirmed the two genders created by God. TRUMP: “On Day One, I made the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female. Is there anybody that disagrees with that in this room? (laughter)  I was thinking, maybe somebody from the press might raise their head. I don't think so. “For four long years, we had an administration that tried to abolish the very concept of womanhood and replace it with radical gender ideology. They destroyed women's spaces and even tried to replace the word ‘mother' with the term ‘birther person.' A mother became a ‘birther person.'  “Under the Trump administration, we're ending the Marxist war on women, and we're protecting women's rights, defending women's dignity, and standing up for the American moms and daughters.” Trump also made a definitive statement about men who pretend to be women. TRUMP: “No matter how many surgeries you have or chemicals you inject, if you're born with male DNA in every cell of your body, you can never become a woman! You're not going to be a woman. (applause) And that's why, last month, I proudly signed a historic Executive Order to ban men from competing in women's sports. And it was very popular.” Trump withdraws Stefanik's nomination to be U.N. Ambassador President Donald Trump has withdrawn the nomination of Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik of New York to be U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, reports The Epoch Times. Trump announced the move on Truth Social on March 27th, citing the narrow majority that the GOP has in the House of Representatives. He wrote, “As we advance our America First Agenda, it is essential that we maintain EVERY Republican Seat in Congress. I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. With a very tight Majority, I don't want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise's seat.” Trump said Stefanik will join his administration in the future. Manhattan's Planned Parenthood closes after years of pro-life prayer After years of monthly prayer processions, often led by a pro-life activist priest named Fidelis Moscinski, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York has announced it will be selling its SoHo building and shutting down its Manhattan abortion mill, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Wendy Stark, the New York abortion giant CEO, claimed the decision was made due to “the gap between inflation and stagnant (Medicaid/insurance) reimbursement rates.” Christian pro-lifers, like David who fought Goliath, know that you cannot continue to mock the living God and expect to be victorious. Psalm 34:16 says, “The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the Earth.” Three survivors of Alaskan plane crash rescued And finally, fearing the worst after a prop plane was reported overdue for landing in Alaska last Sunday, search and rescue volunteers searched for the pilot and two children of elementary and middle school ages who had been on a sightseeing tour, reports Good News Network. Dale Eicher was one of the locals who heard the call for help. EICHER: “I saw the Facebook post about the missing plane and decided to go look for it.” Providentially, that singular Facebook post about the missing father and kids had been re-shared 420 times. John Morris, the father of the missing pilot, told CNN affiliate, Alaska's News Source, that his son's cell phone sent its final ping at about 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening over Tustumena Lake. Within an hour of flying, Eicher saw them. EICHER: “They were walking across the lake when I flew over the plane.” The Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser had crash landed on the frozen surface of Tustumena Lake. EICHER: “I was really shocked. I did expect that we would find them, but I didn't expect that we would find them alive, for sure. I've done a little bit of search and rescue before, and it doesn't always turn out this well.” The three survivors were taken to a Kenai Peninsula area hospital and treated for “non-life-threatening injuries.” When the reporter asked what motivated Dale Eicher to search for the missing plane, he said this. EICHER: “It's the right thing to do. I do volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol some. And I have my own plane.” Indeed, it was the right thing to do!  After all, as Genesis 1:27 articulates, each of us, including those three plane crash survivors in Alaska, have been created in God's image and are worthy of rescuing.

Chris Whalen, chairman of Whalen Global Advisors and author of The Institutional Risk Analyst blog, returns to The Julia La Roche Show for episode 240 to discuss markets and the state of the economy. Sponsor: This episode is brought to you by Monetary Metals. https://monetary-metals.com/julia Whalen explains why market euphoria has faded under Trump's "shock and awe" strategy. Banks face a $3 trillion mortgage securities problem yielding under 3% against 3% funding costs. He notes the FDIC has stopped reporting troubled bank asset totals after 35 years, suggesting numerous insolvent institutions need resolution. Despite these issues, Whalen doesn't forecast a recession, seeing continued growth with isolated credit problems. In commercial real estate, he describes a "silent recession" where banks avoid taking properties, while for residential real estate he predicts price softening, then a rate-cut mini-boom before a major 2028 correction.

Having the Spirit is essential to having new life in Christ. So what does it mean practically to walk in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, and keep in step with the Spirit in our day to day? How do we avoid grieving or quenching the Spirit? We also know that God is sovereign over the events in each person's life and in the world, but man is also responsible—yet God ordains the means as well as the end. It's Thursday, February 13th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Iran arrested two Christians Article 18 reports that authorities in Iran arrested two Christians last Thursday.  Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh and Joseph Shabazian are both in their 60s. They had previously spent a combined six years in prison for leading house churches. They originally received 10-year sentences, but were released part way through.  It's not clear why officials arrested Nasser and Joseph again. But the Middle Eastern country is known for arresting anyone who is not aligned with the Islamic regime on “security” charges. Iran is ranked ninth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian.  In Matthew 5:10, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” British Christian teacher vindicated for objecting to transgender agenda Yesterday, an appeals court in the United Kingdom ruled in favor of a Christian teacher who lost her job over her Facebook posts. A Church of England primary school in Gloucestershire fired Kristie Higgs in 2019. This came after she posted a petition on Facebook that opposed mandatory sex education in schools. She also posted an article that challenged transgender ideology.  Higgs has spent the last six years fighting the school's decision to fire her.  HIGGS: “Nobody should lose their job for raising concerns. The biggest thing for me was that it was a Church of England School. They should be going by what God says, but now they're changing it, and that's just alarming. Just to see a boy in girl's clothing. Another one, My Princess Boy. To some people, it may appear to be okay, but when you know the Lord, you know His ways, and you know a boy cannot be a princess. A boy shouldn't dress up in Princess' clothing. “I knew what these books were. I knew that it was wrong. I could see through it, and I praise God for that. I encourage others to stand up against the ideology and the agendas that are being pushed. You know, we don't have to, don't have to agree to everything. We don't have to go with the flow. The Lord is with us and will help us through it all.” After her victory yesterday, Higgs said, “I pray that today will prove to be a landmark day for Christian freedoms and free speech.  … The Court of Appeal has now set a clear standard to protect people like me, and the countless other Christians in this nation, to express their beliefs without fear of losing their jobs.” Trump chatted with Russian President Vladimir Putin U.S. President Donald Trump spoke over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday.  It's the first known conversation between the two leaders since the start of Trump's second term. Trump described the conversation as “lengthy and highly productive.” He announced the two countries would begin immediate negotiations for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. Trump said he also had a good conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday.  The conversations come as the United States and Russia complete a prisoner exchange this week.  Tulsi Gabbard confirmed as National Intelligence Director Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who became a Republican and endorsed Donald Trump for President last October, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the position of director of national intelligence, reports The Epoch Times. Gabbard was confirmed in a 52–48 vote on Wednesday. Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was the only Republican to vote against Gabbard. SENATOR: “Yays are 52. Nays are 48. Nomination is confirmed.” Yesterday's confirmation follows a contentious few weeks of debate over Gabbard's qualifications and judgment, in which lawmakers from both sides of the aisle asked probing questions about her views on Russia, ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, and Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who leaked classified information. Listen to this exchange between Republican Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas and Gabbard on the topic of Russia as she appeared before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. MORAN: “I want to make certain that in no way does Russia get a pass in either your mind or your heart or in any policy recommendation you would make or not make.” GABBARD: “Senator, I'm offended by the question because my sole focus, commitment, and responsibility is about our own nation, our own security, and the interests of the American people. In carrying out the responsibilities of the Director of National Intelligence, if confirmed, no country, group or individual will get a pass in my fulfilling that responsibility of providing that full intelligence picture so that you all can make the best informed policy decisions for the safety, security, and freedom of the American people. “You have my commitment to be completely objective, unbiased, and apolitical. And I hope you understand my commitment to our country's interest.” MORAN: “I absolutely do. You have answered my question in the manner in which I wanted to hear, that you will do this in an objective manner, provide the information necessary, and that Russia, if it's a threat, you will tell us so and tell us the details of that threat.” GABBARD: “Yes. Senator.” After President Trump introduced her at the Oval Office, Gabbard was sworn in by Attorney General Pam Bondi. GABBARD: “I, Tulsi Gabbard, do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I'm about to enter. So help me, God.” CDC website purged references to LGBTQ lifestyle and affirmed adoption The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is changing its website under the Trump administration. The CDC is editing or removing references on its website to “transgender” individuals, “LGBTQ+ health,” and diversity, equity and inclusion.  Its website also suggests adoption when people search for abortion. Trump: No more drag shows at Kennedy Center And finally, President Trump announced last Friday that he is removing liberal agendas from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The national cultural center of the United States is located in Washington, D.C. Congress authorized the center in 1958, requiring it to be sustained through private funds. Trump said he fired multiple people on the center's board of trustees, becoming the chairman himself. He wrote on Truth Social, “Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, February 13th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mark 6:7-13 - Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick–no food, no sack, no money in their belts. They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic. He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there. Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.” So they went off and preached repentance. The Twelve drove out many demons, and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them. It's Thursday, January 30th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Pastor in India and wife face five years in prison for evangelizing Last Wednesday, officials in India convicted a Christian couple for evangelizing the Dalit community. Members of the community are known as the “untouchables,” representing the lowest stratum of the country's caste system. Officials charged Pastor Jose Pappachan and his wife, Sheeja, with violating the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act. They now face five years in prison and the equivalent of hundreds of dollars in fines.  International Christian Concern notes, “Dalits are socially, economically, and historically marginalized communities predominantly in India. Traditionally, the Dalits have easily embraced Christianity to escape the repressive caste system.” Chilean lawmakers commit to oppose abortion Last Tuesday, lawmakers in Chile signed a Commitment for Life document, reports Evangelical Focus.  Members of several different parties signed the document in response to the government considering a law to legalize abortion. Parliamentarian Mauro González said, “We are a large majority that defends life, and we will continue to advocate for the ethical, moral and Christian principles that are part of our essence and culture.” Blackhawk helicopter collides with American Airlines jet over Potomac River In the United States, on Wednesday evening around 9:00pm ET, an American Airlines Eagle passenger jet, and an Army Blackhawk helicopter collided and crashed into the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport, reports NBC News.  Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas had 64 people aboard and the helicopter carried three soldiers. One eyewitness made reference to the American Airlines flight, calling it a CRJ, which means Canadian Regional Jet. Listen. EYEWITNESS: “The accident happened in the river. Both the helicopter and the plane crashed in the river east of the end of runway 33. It was probably out in the middle of the river. I just saw a fireball, and then it was just gone. So, I haven't seen anything since they hit the river. But it was a CRJ [Canadian Regional Jet] and a helicopter that hit, I would say, maybe a half mile off the approach end of [runway] 33.” At least four people have been recovered and were rushed to hospitals. A frantic search to find crash victims in the river was underway within minutes. Last night, the temperature of the Potomac River was 35 degrees Fahrenheit. At 35 degrees, the human body core temperature quickly drops and exhaustion, hypothermia, and unconsciousness can occur in as little as 15 to 30 minutes. At 9:15pm, Reagan Airport announced, “All takeoffs and landings have been halted.” Trump ensures gov't won't fund transgender surgeries for kids In the United States, President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Tuesday entitled, “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation.”  The order keeps the federal government from funding transgender drugs and surgeries for people under the age of 19.  The order states, “Across the country today, medical professionals are maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children under the radical and false claim that adults can change a child's sex through a series of irreversible medical interventions. This dangerous trend will be a stain on our Nation's history, and it must end.” In Mark 10:6, Jesus said, “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.'" Trump confronts Bank of America CEO over debanking conservatives President Trump addressed the World Economic Forum being held in Davos, Switzerland last week. And he didn't pull any punches. Trump made comments via remote video from Washington, D.C. In one comment, he rebuked major financial institutions for “debanking” conservatives and faith groups. Trump specifically called out Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. TRUMP: “I hope you start opening your bank to conservatives because many conservatives complain that the banks are not allowing them to do business within the bank, and that included a place called Bank of America. They don't take conservative business. I don't know if the regulators mandated that because of Biden or what. But you and Jamie and everybody, I hope you're going to open your banks to conservatives, because what you're doing is wrong.” After several awkward seconds, Brian Moynihan, the CEO of Bank of America, offered the king of all non sequiturs, failing to address Trump's direct concern at all. MOYNIHAN: “Mr. President, I'll say that your friend Gianni [Infantino] said hello, told me to tell you hello, and we look forward to sponsoring the World Cup when it comes both this summer for the club and next year. So, thank you for getting that for the United States.” A prominent example of such “debanking” was Chase Bank's decision to close the account of The National Committee for Religious Freedom in 2022. Trump looks to cut $100 billion through federal workforce The Trump administration is offering buyouts to federal workers to shrink the size of the government. Ahead of planned downsizing, the administration is offering federal employees to voluntarily resign by February 6. They would still receive pay through September. The administration expects 5-10% of the federal workforce to quit. This would save around $100 billion.  American kids less competent in reading The National Center for Education Statistics released their latest report card for the U.S. American kids are still growing less competent in their reading skills and have made little progress in math. This continues the decline of academic results since school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The report also highlights a growing divide between higher- and lower-performing students with the gap being wider than ever. Nondenominational churches increasing and growing And finally, most U.S. denominations are experiencing decline, but nondenominational Protestant churches are on the rise. Nearly 35% of American Protestants identified as nondenominational in 2022, up from less than 3% in the early 1970s. Also, the number of nondenominational churches increased by nearly 9,000 over the last decade. This growth comes despite the number of practicing Christians being on the decline in the U.S. Professor Ed Stetzer, the former head of Lifeway Research group told The Washington Times, “The percentage of practicing Christians is declining, but those who remain tend to create a more serious expression of their faith. . . . Millennials and Gen Z Christians, in particular, are showing signs of greater commitment, even as they navigate a cultural landscape where being religious sometimes comes with a price.” In Matthew 16:24, Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, January 30th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. Por otro lado, Biden ha cerrado su mandato con perdones preventivos a varios cargos críticos con Trump y a cinco miembros de su familia. Sobre ello, Cañero ha explicado que "este perdón es inusual" y que lo que está tratando Biden es de "evitar una persecución política y jurídica."Escuchar audio

[SEGMENT 1-1] Retaliation strategy is shot 1   BREAKING: MSNBC ratings collapse to its lowest since July 19, 2004. 38,000 total viewers in the 24-54 age group. I honestly would like to set a goal to be larger than MSNBC by the end of 2025. That's not a high bar is it fans and friends? [X] SB – Trump predicted Hunter's pardon Joe Biden opened Pandora's box for Donald Trump.  [SEGMENT 1-2] Retaliation strategy is shot 2   [X] SB – Megyn Kelly on lawfare   His pardon of Hunter for the crimes he's been found guilty of committing, and those Biden knows he committed have shaken the foundation for Democrats. I wish the midterms were TODAY. Because I suspect Democrats would lose a lot of House seats and Republicans would get a super-majority in the Senate.  [SEGMENT 1-3] Retaliation strategy is shot 3   After the Harris-Walz campaign debacle, where they spent billions on vapor, lost, and have debt, the Democrats funding base has put them on notice. And now we get word that a judge has honored the subpoena of ActBlue's fundraising records, and this doesn't bode well for The Party of Lynching. Democrats milked their donors in a sham campaign, and this will hobble them for some time, if we do our jobs.   But neither the pardon of Hunter Biden or the fundraising corruption of ActBlue is the end of the coming storm for Democrats. Because as I've said recently, Joe Biden isn't finished. He will eventually pardon all the crooked people who took part in all the corrupt activities of the Democrats. And as he did with Hunter, he will grant them pardons that cover their tracks back almost a decade. When Biden does this, he will be publicly admitting what most Americans have known for some time. He empowered the DOJ to get Donald Trump. Actually, Joe Biden just continued the efforts of the Obama administration. [X] SB – Biden on being honest using the DOJ   The question is, “What will Republicans do?” Will we learn just how deeply embedded the Republican Party is with Democrats? Or will they step up, and recognize what Trump's team is doing. I suspect that Trump understand more than ever that he has must wage a PR battle, more than trying to get Republicans, aka the Uniparty to come along. They don't seem willing to bend to his will, until their backs are against the wall. Have you considered clever ways in which Trump can truly drain the swamp? The FBI director resigned. And now we have Kash Patel. Patel can shine the light on the corruption of the FBI, and showcase all that has happened over the past 8 years, perhaps further. Pam Bondi as Attorney General can certainly work with the DOJ to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt about some of the so-called “conspiracies”. Imagine these two working together to show the FBI's involvement in helping to steal the 2020 election, and coordinate with the Uniparty on J6? Movies will be made about these things.    [SEGMENT 1-4] Retaliation strategy is shot 4   Bright line between being a president and a dad Tempting to use this power where other Americans face similar circumstances Morality, power Bothered by abuses of power Contrast that with Trump No uncertain terms Contrast is clear: decency, principal Good day for the system CONTRAST…rule of law Sacrifice my surviving son's future…     It appears that Trump may have to destroy the institutions of government in order to restore people's faith in them. I know if government were to have continued in the direction it was going, the people would eventually strike back, and not at the ballot box. Many Americans believe that Democrats wanted a civil war. Black versus white, male versus female, trannies versus real women, they didn't care. Just get a war going, because for the Left, war is good. War is profitable.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.
