From a young age, Cody had enjoyed playing hockey. He had an incredible social life, an amazing family. 2 months later he found himself quitting hockey, quitting school and binge drinking almost every day. He didn't want to get out of bed, isolated himself and snapped at anyone if they tried to help him. He was depressed and felt completely hopeless. The worst part was he didn't know why. The first stop was the family doctor. With the help of his mom and dad, he went in there and unpacked how he was feeling to the best of his abilities. Without asking any more questions, the doctor wrote him a prescription for antidepressants and told him it would solve all his problems. And that was the start of 3.5 years of seeing 30+ medical professionals trying to find an answer. He saw more family doctors, naturopaths, psychologists, psychiatrists and even saw hypnotists at one point. We hope you enjoy the episode!
