What if there's no such thing as “staying on track?” What does staying on track really mean? What's the track we're following here? Truth is, there is no such thing. Everyday brings different energies and cycles so we simply have to move with the flow of life and adapt. I'm going to share some of my thoughts on creating a new vibe where it doesn't feel like you are ever “falling off track” and learning to simply embrace all experiences as a part of the journey.
Romanticizing and ritualizing life…specifically around food. Cooking, having a great relationship with food and understanding the medicinal properties of food can be fun! I truly think one of the best ways to do this is to create some fun around nourishment. I am going to share some tips around ritualizing food and truly understanding food as medicine. A new take on challenging the drinking culture from the unique perspective of my beautiful friend, Stephanie Lorenz. She has been a catalyst in my own journey to exploring the depths of my being and living in a way that challenges my own self to ultimately feel fulfilled in my most authentic expression. Steph is 6 1/2 years into her journey of recovering from alcoholism and hitting her rock bottom. The past year and especially the past few months, I have challenged my own intentions around drinking. I have realized that you don't need to have a problem with alcohol to be sober. In this episode I talk about incorporating balance into the social life aspect. How empowering it feels to be comfortable with yourself, to not feel like you need to drink to have a good time and to let loose. How we can create an intimate space for ourselves and cultivate an environment where you don't feel the need to grab a drink to feel more talkative, funny or interesting and instead accept who you are and all versions of you. And of course, keeping moderation in mind. While I choose to accept who I am and allow myself to attract people who do as well, if I want to pour myself a glass of wine, I will simply because I want to. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The ego is a very misunderstood concept so I invited my lovely friend Erin on to dissect this topic with me. We answer the questions: What is the ego? What does it have to do with the subconscious mind? How do we recognize when we are operating from ego? What happens to us when we ignore uncomfortable feelings? How do these feelings show up as feelings of jealousy, judgement and envy? When we understand this part of us, it unlocks our power! Now that I have started to understand my own ego and when I am operating from it, I can lean into things like jealousy and other feelings that are uncomfortable and accept the lessons as offerings for my growth. I hope you enjoy the episode! Erin does in person and distance Reiki - You can find her to book a session or learn more about what she does at www.themindfulbird.com Follow her on Instagram @themindfulbird_ Thank you Erin, your wisdom is unmatched! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
How can we start to escape the victim mentality where we think things are happening TO us not FOR us? This episode is all about confronting yourself head on and questioning everything. Facing the uncomfortable truth that we are in constant creation mode; understanding that our inner world is reflecting our outer world. How to become one of those people that is a constant observer and decides what serves you and learning how to leave whatever does not, in the dust. Take inventory of the things that are surrounding you. Take inventory of the people in your life. Take inventory of your beliefs and preconceived notions. How long has it been since you evaluated your beliefs? Do you believe something just because it's always been that way or that's just the way you are? Our mind can be a very blissful and peaceful place if we choose that. What does it mean to be productive? For me this always seemed to mean working, running errands and fulfilling responsibilities. When I sat around, I would shame myself for not “getting anything done.” Since then, I have reevaluated my definition of productivity. When I think of this word now, I think of anything that supports my well-being and goals. Yes, sometimes this is getting shit done but lounging around, reading and cooking a nice meal is now considered productive to me! If it positively affects your growth, mental health, emotions, goals, etc. then you can consider this productive. No more shaming for relaxing on a Sunday when you most definitely deserve it!
