For Woven client, Abby, the experience of cycle charting provided far more insight than simple family planning. It opened up a whole new world of discovery as she recognized the role her reproductive hormones played in her emotional state and creative potential. After charting her cycles with the Creighton Model System, she began working with these natural rhythms instead of against them and her creative and personal endeavors came alive. As a professional dancer and athlete, she used to berate herself for having needs and strengths that morphed throughout her cycle. Now, she changed her perspective to honor them. I'm excited for you to hear more from Abby herself in this episode. Enjoy!NOTE: This episode is appropriate for all audiences.GUEST BIO: Abby is a Jesus follower and professional dancer. In this episode of the Marni On The Move podcast, Marni Salup syncs up with Terry Chang and Dr. Ulrike Kaunzner, co-founders of Two Moons Health, for an in-depth conversation on seed cycling, cycle syncing, and hormone awareness through a practical, science-informed lens. The discussion begins with a clear overview of seed cycling, what it is, how it works, and why this approach to hormonal support are resonating with so many women today. Terry and Dr. Kaunzner share the inspiration behind building Two Moons Health and the gaps they saw in women's health education and care that led them to create a more accessible and supportive solution. The conversation explores how hormones shift throughout the menstrual cycle, with particular focus on PMS, why symptoms can look different from person to person, and why normalization should never mean dismissal. Marni and her guests discuss the benefits of seed cycling products, the challenges and opportunities within the women's health space, and the importance of responsible education and transparency. They also dive into the role of community in women's health, why shared experience matters, and how connection can drive awareness and empowerment. The founders share their own personal health practices and what they've learned from navigating hormonal health in real life. The episode also explores common hormonal health protocols, when they may be helpful, and why personalization is key. Practical advice is offered for women who want to become more aware of their hormonal patterns, including how to track cycles, understand symptoms, and know when to seek additional medical support. The conversation includes guidance on hormone testing, how to use data as information rather than judgment, and why tracking can be especially valuable for women experiencing PMS or hormonal shifts. The episode also touches on hormonal education for teenagers and the importance of early awareness. The conversation concludes with the vision for Two Moons Health and how the brand plans to continue supporting women through education, intentional nutrition, and community-building CONNECT Two Moons Health On Instagram Marni On The Move Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube` Marni Salup on Instagram and Playlist on Spotify SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER Sign up for our monthly newsletter, Do What Moves You, for Marni on the Move updates, exclusive offers, invites to events, and exciting news! How much do hormonal fluctuations really influence performance and recovery? Should women be adjusting their training and nutrition based on the menstrual cycle? And do female athletes need different protein strategies or recovery protocols than men? These are questions that have fuelled countless online claims, from rigid "cycle syncing" programmes to supposedly gender-specific nutrition rules. But how much of that is actually grounded in evidence? In this episode, the conversation tackles those debates head-on, exploring what we truly know about female physiology, adaptation, and recovery, and where confident narratives outpace the science. You'll hear from four leading experts: Professors Kirsty Elliot-Sale, Stu Phillips, Shona Halson, and Dr. Eric Helms, as they unpack the data on menstrual-cycle variation, autoregulation, and the real determinants of muscle growth and recovery in women. These discussions were originally recorded live as part of "The Inside Advantage" event hosted by Optimum Nutrition at the McLaren F1 Performance Centre in the UK, where Danny Lennon moderated the session. Today's podcast discusses the need to know when it's time to simply let go of certain forms of emotional baggage when we get into later stages of life. We often don't emotionally feel like our chronological age. However, as our years grow short, there's just certain things we don't want to be carrying; so that when the time comes, we can easily transition to the kingdom of God. Often times we are carrying baggage that is preventing us from growing up. Knowing what types of struggles are okay to just let go of and when it is okay to do that are the focal points of today's podcast.
Send us a textFrom the Vault this week a timely episode on cycle syncing. You're going to see a lot of ads for fitness programs over the next month or so, that's what January always brings, and I thought this episode where I go over some of the claims made by people selling you programs might be useful. Is cycle syncing the next big breakthrough in fitness, or just another marketing gimmick? Should you really only do weight training or HIIT for 2 weeks per month and does that really increase strength by 15% more than consistently doing it?What about adjusting your diet to "balance your hormones"?I have been on a quest to get my hands on the studies your favourite cycle-sync app/websites claim they have done and discuss what I have found. At least one website regularly makes claims about studies that directly contradicts what the study actually said so..it does not bode well. But tune in now to see if there's anything behind the hype, and find out what you should be doing. Here is the blog post I referred to and here is the link to the actual study they butchered. As always; HPNB only has 5 billing cycles. If your schedules keep slipping, handoffs fall apart, and crews always seem to be waiting on someone, this episode will show you why. Jason Schroeder breaks down the missing link most projects never address: syncing the overall project plan with the personal daily schedules of field leaders. You'll learn: Why stops and restarts, not worker productivity, kill flow. How next day planning and afternoon huddles set up perfect handoffs. Why field engineers, PEs, and assistant supers need time blocked calendars. How coordinating personal schedules creates predictable production and calmer teams. This episode isn't about micromanaging, it's about enabling. Because if you want flow, you must plan your people as intentionally as you plan your work. Aydin sits down with Filip Skrzesinski, co-founder of Subframe, to unpack how AI and code-native design tools are collapsing the classic PM → design → engineering handoffs. Filip explains why “pictures to code” is an unfair ask of engineers, shows how Subframe lets teams design directly in the same material as production code, and demos building a Fellow feature—from screenshot → design system match → working prototype—without access to Fellow's codebase. They close on what's next: organizations training their own “house models” to reflect product taste, patterns, and constraints so more people across the company can truly build.Key takeawaysDesign in the same material as code: Subframe treats UI work as editable code, eliminating fidelity loss from design handoffs.Fewer stages, faster loops: PMs, designers, and engineers collaborate in one artifact; prototypes look and behave like the real app.AI as a trained teammate, not a slot machine: Teams will shape models with system prompts, snippets, and feedback—like mentoring a junior designer.Front-end ownership shifts: Designers can own front-end structure and components; engineers wire up backends and complex logic.Prototype to PRD: High-fidelity prototypes beat docs for alignment, user testing, and speed.Timestamps00:00 - Introduction 01:00 Fil's path: audio engineering → CS → design → startup co-founder03:48 Builders everywhere: from Dreamweaver → Webflow → Shopify → now “apps”04:01 What Subframe is: a design tool rooted in code05:48 Bridging LLMs (great at code) with visual design context08:09 The architect vs. printer analogy for product design12:23 Back to the show: “The new way” is collapsing steps and handoffs14:07 “Five-year” vision (sooner than you think): design → code with agents in the loop16:31 Training models on your org's taste: like raising a puppy—examples & theory19:15 Today's demo plan: build a Fellow feature in Subframe without codebase access21:04 Recreating Fellow's UI: import colors/typography; screenshot → layout23:07 Don't fight the AI: let it rough-in, then designers perfect in visual mode24:11 Why prototypes should look native (not “off-brand” sandboxes)26:07 Syncing components to codebases; where Subframe stops (front-end) and engineers continue (backend)28:33 Programmatic (deterministic) UI code & generative for visuals30:00 PMs in the tool: prompt to add a Share dialog with transcript and video context35:08 Exploring multiple design variations; mix-and-match patterns (“snippets”)37:57 From design to interactive prototype via annotations (“do this on click…”)45:22 First build runs: working Share flow; alert updates after sending47:02 Export code → Cursor/GitHub; hand off real components48:08 The next 12 months: more ideas shipped, more makers, less gatekeepingTools & technologies MentionedSubframe — Code-native design tool for building UI/UX; designs directly edit the underlying code; syncs components to your repo.Fellow.ai — AI meeting assistant with privacy controls; accurate summaries, actions, decisions; broad SaaS integrations.Cursor — AI-assisted code editor; good for continuing from exported Subframe code to production.GitHub — Repo hosting and collaboration for shipping the generated/edited UI code.AI code agents — Used by engineers to wire front-end to backend services and data.Squarespace / Webflow / Dreamweaver — Prior waves that democratized web creation; backdrop for today's “apps layer.”Shopify — Example of no-code/low-code e-commerce; analogy for app building's democratization.Lovable / Bolts / V0 — AI code/prototyping tools referenced as peers for generating working app scaffolds.Slack / Asana / HubSpot / Salesforce / Linear / Jira / Confluence — Systems Fellow integrates with to push notes, actions, and records.Subscribe at thisnewway.com to get the step-by-step playbooks, tools, and workflows.

Think you can power through winter with the same routine you had in July? Think again. In this episode of The Wellness Effect, we're breaking down why fighting the seasons is sabotaging your energy, hormones, and overall health—and how leaning into nature's rhythm can completely transform how you feel. From the nutrition codes hidden in seasonal foods to why your body is literally begging you to sleep more when it's dark at 4 PM, we unpack the science behind circadian health and give you practical ways to work with your body instead of against it. Whether you're struggling with seasonal depression, confused about morning sunlight when the sun doesn't rise until 8:30 AM, or just exhausted from trying to maintain summer productivity in the middle of winter, this conversation will shift your entire perspective on what it means to actually support your body year-round. What we discuss: [00:13:38] - The foundation of circadian rhythm [00:15:16] - Why the seasons aren't happening TO you [00:17:14] - Movement strategies for winter (when 8 PM walks turn into pitch-black rain sessions) [00:19:10] - The light codes in your food (and why pineapple in December is working against you) [00:20:48] - The September 1st stew phenomenon [00:22:13] - What to do when morning sunlight is literally impossible [00:24:45] - Sunrise eyes over perfect sunlight [00:26:40] - The $100 circadian investment that changes everything [00:28:05] - The blue light debate for early risers [00:30:40] The 20-minute planning session that gives you 20 hours back Key Takeaways: Your digestion actually slows down in winter when you don't have as much sunlight fueling metabolism - which is why your body naturally craves warmer, cooked foods over raw salads The seasonal foods growing in your region at any given time are the exact foods your body is best equipped to digest at that time - Mother Earth isn't just pretty, she's strategic Trying to maintain your summer schedule and productivity levels through winter is like fighting your body's internal wisdom - you'll just end up exhausted by February wondering why "rest" isn't working Want more from us? Send us a textHave you ever noticed how some weeks you feel unstoppable—energized, focused, and confident—while other weeks you feel tired, foggy, or just not yourself? That's not random—it's your hormones. Most of us have been taught to only pay attention to the menstrual phase of our cycle, but that's just one part of the story. In reality, our bodies move through four unique phases each month, and those shifts impact everything from our mood and energy to our cravings, confidence, and productivity. For those navigating perimenopause, when cycles become more irregular and symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, brain fog, and hot flashes can intensify, learning to work with your hormones can be a game-changer. Cycle syncing strategies and food-based tools like seed cycling can help smooth out some of those ups and downs, offering more balance and resilience through the transition. In today's episode, we're diving into cycle syncing and including some seed cycling insight—two powerful ways to support your hormones and align your lifestyle with your body's natural rhythm. We'll walk through all four phases of the cycle, explore what's happening hormonally, and share practical ways to sync your nutrition, exercise, and even your workflow so you can feel more balanced and empowered all month long.Support the showWork with me: https://linktr.ee/missy_propperSign up for the Authentic Wellness newsletter for more great information! Consider today a masterclass on biohacking for a woman. For so long the biohacking space or other word known as health optimization has been based on men's studies and data. Although thankfully it's coming to the surface that women aren't biochemically the same as men and we need to address things differently, especially in our reproductive years. My guest today has been in this space since the early days of biohacking and since then has not only learned how women need to approach things differently, but also has trained thousands of other women to do the same. Kristin Weitzel is a health and high performance maven, with expertise across a broad range of health topics and Founder or WELLPOWER, SHERPA Breath & Cold. She is a biohacking proponent, certified fitness trainer, podcast host, breathwork guide, ice bath instructor, and nutritionist with a focus on guiding people to optimal health. During her 15 years as a brand strategist and global marketer for Fortune 500 brands, Kristin sought opportunities to work with some of the top minds and mentors across the wellness world. She applied these learnings to her own weight management, energy, and lifestyle challenges, and continues to research and share them with her audience. She ultimately left behind her successful corporate career to pursue her peak expression: Leading others to break out of their comfort zones and rise into optimal wellbeing. In this episode we talk about: The Difference in a women's approach in biohacking Fasting for women Why we need to eat more protein Common problems women are having and why Cycle syncing and fitness Cold exposure and breath Trusting your intuition How to Optimize your sleep and more… For full show notes and episode resources head to: https://ericalippy.com/kristin-weitzel/ Watch episode on YouTube Episode mentions: BIOptimzers Magnesium Breakthrough : Discount code: ERICAL Function Health Get immediate access and $100 off: Code ELIPPYNELSON10 Find our guest at: Kristin Weitzel: Website, Instagram Wellpower podcast Coaching with Kristin Follow me on Social Media: Your Host: @ericalippy Podcast: @passionlovepursuit YouTube PASSION LOVE PURSUIT PODCASTS: https://ericalippy.com/the-podcast/
Periods: one thing everyone knows about but nobody wants to talk about. Cara's not having it. In this hilariously taboo-busting episode of Playful Spirituality, she shares how she ditched the secrecy, casually announcing her period to a grocery store checker and, yes, using menstrual blood as fertilizer for her houseplants (spoiler: they're thriving).Between laughs and raised eyebrows, Cara dives into some big truths:Your cycle isn't an obstacle, it's a training plan. Syncing workouts with menstrual phases can supercharge energy, resilience, and performance. The wild practice of using menstrual blood as a natural fertilizer — and why her plants love it.The cycle offers cues to partners about the kinds of support women need in different phases. The four phases of the menstrual cycle and how each one shapes energy, emotions, and movement. Her own experiences with hormone sensitivity and the impact it's had on her mental health.Along the way, she explains how the four stages of the menstrual cycle mirror the four seasons, each with its own rhythms of energy, emotion, and rest. Expect frank talk, funny stories, and a healthy dose of side-eye for a culture that treats menstruation like a shameful secret. This episode is equal parts education and mischief, guaranteed to leave you a little wiser, a little braver, and maybe plotting how to out your own cycle at the checkout line.Episode Time Stamps00:00 Introduction to Playful Spirituality01:11 A Taboo Topic: Talking About Periods01:34 Grocery Store Anecdote02:57 Normalizing Period Conversations07:59 The Magic of Menstrual Blood08:56 Personal Reflections on Menstrual Cycles19:21 Understanding Menstrual Phases21:06 Training with Your Cycle27:02 Empowerment Through Cycle Awareness29:01 Conclusion and GratitudeCheck out Master Your Magic here and get on the waitlist!Connect with Cara!Website - https://www.caraviana.com/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/cara_viana/Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/caravianaYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/caraviana

REGISTER HERE! Click the link for DATES, DETAILS, and FAQs! This episode reveals how aligning your intermittent fasting schedule with your circadian rhythm can dramatically improve weight loss and metabolic health. Dr. Scott and Tommy break down the science showing that eating the same meal at 8 AM versus 8 PM results in 30% less glucose processing effectiveness at night, making evening fasting windows less optimal. Discover research proving that women eating 70% of calories before noon lost significantly more weight than late eaters, and how just one hour of "social jet lag" (varying bedtime) increases diabetes risk by 40%. Learn the three main circadian disruptors sabotaging your fasting success: excessive blue light exposure at night, irregular sleep schedules, and late-night eating. The hosts explain why your worst cravings happen after dinner (it's biology, not willpower), how light exposure while sleeping increases BMI and waist circumference, and why shift workers have higher rates of metabolic dysfunction. Get actionable strategies for optimizing your fasting windows, including morning sunlight exposure protocols, blue light protection methods, and why turning off kitchen lights during evening fasts can eliminate food cravings. In this episode, we explore the powerful practice of cycle syncing--a method of aligning nutrition, fitness, sleep, and daily habits with the four phases of the menstrual cycle (menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal) to optimize female health and performance. Designed for women seeking better energy, hormonal balance, and productivity, this episode breaks down how to use biofeedback tools like heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate (RHR) to track recovery, predict hormonal shifts, and guide training intensity.
