Today, we're talking about one question to strengthen your marriage. It's one simple habit you can start today that can transform your marriage. Communication in marriage often revolves around schedules, tasks, and stress—rarely do we pause to intentionally connect. All of us are born with a deep need to belong. We desire to be accepted just the way we are, with no strings attached. At times, all we receive is a counterfeit of belonging, an opportunity to merely fit in if we have something someone wants. God's invitation to us is not based on where we work, the family in which we were born, or how we look. All that matters is that God fearfully and wonderfully created us. He longs to have a relationship with each of His children. Have you asked Christ to make you a new person? Do we all have stories of difficult family members? My brother used to pull up in the yard with the same question each holiday. “Who's fighting now?” There was always some scuffle between a couple or more of the family that only escalated during the gathering. When it was me fighting with another family member, I would battle until the bitter end when one of us would leave, slamming doors behind us. It doesn't have to be that way! Most of the time I am a very happy and joyful person I see the goodness of God and feel pretty peaceful, then life happens. In the last couple of years, I've lost 4 people in my family. My sister and her husband, my brother then my mom. I found it hard to be thankful happy, and peaceful at times. As a believing Christian, I know to pray without ceasing, but sometimes when I don't get answers or my worries overwhelm God's wisdom, I get tired and frustrated. Have you ever been in a place where you have no peace and you aren't thankful or happy? Faith shouldn't die if the answers come slowly, for the delay may be God's way of working His Will in our lives. When you feel tired of praying, know that God is present, always listening, always answering, maybe not in ways you had hoped but in ways that he knows are best. Billie's books
