“I Never Lose. I Either Win or I Learn” - Nelson Mandela Ask anyone in business if they've ever had to pivot and I'm sure the overwhelming response would be YES! Recognizing the right time to pivot is a crucial skill for both businesses and individuals. The ability to change courses swiftly and effective can be crucial to ones success. At some point in our lives we've all had to make a pivotal decision, the decision to completely change the way we've done something or continue to persevere. When businesses are looking to pivot, it is to help the company improve revenue or survive in the market. Goals for individuals are not much different from a business when it comes to improving or surviving when you think about it. An individual may find they need to change course after a pivotal life event, when things feel off or they're unsatisfied -perhaps out of alignment. We can also experience some sort of inspiration causing one to pivot. Regardless of what the root cause, it's important to equate a pivot personally or professionally as an evolution rather than failure. Embracing Life's Unexpected Detours“Often what may appear as a detour in life is actually the most direct and empowering path to your destination” - James Arthur RayLife is often compared to a journey along a path, and just like any path, it comes with its fair share of detours and unexpected turns. Embracing these detours can be challenging and overwhelming at times if we allow ourselves to look beyond what is happening around us. Most times these detours are teaching us important lessons that are essential for growth and discovery. In order to overcome and navigate the detours in life, business and/or careers it takes adopting a resilient mindset and the will to adapt to the changes. Success looks different for everyone. For some our Path's may end at the same destination, but undoubtedly the journey there won't be the same.In this week's solo episode, we're asking what does success look like to you? We have a tendency to look at others who appear to be successful and we expect our outcome or journey to imitate what we see, but in all honesty we don't know what it took for them to get there. ‘I've learn never to wish for what others have, because I don't know what they had to go through to get it. We are not saying every successful person struggled, but for everyone one that didn't struggle it's possible 3 did.In this episode I am asking questions and leaving advice for all to think about as you build your dreams. This week I'm doing a (Rewind) solo episode sharing The Path's Survival Guide to Embracing The Detours of Life. One of the most frustrating things in the world to me besides bad traffic is having to detour because of it. No one likes to change direction or take a longer route, but we are often forced to do so at some point especially if you're driving in Georgia. Life is no different. Detours are most times not expectant and can be overwhelming. What do you do when life requires you to detour from your normal comfortable life? Do you freeze in time? Do you sit in a state of shock or do you fight to move out of your comfort zone, reroute and change directions? There's a quote that reads,“Often what may appear as a detour in life is actually the most direct and empowering path to your destination” - James Arthur RayIn this Solo episode I share:4 Survival Guide Tips to Embracing The Detours of LifeCheck out this episode & others here on The Path Podcast, Apple, Spotify, Google & other podcast platforms. Relationships often begin with so much promise. What started out as butterflies when you see them, quickly turns into you questioning their actions and words as they let their guard down and be themselves. All relationships have their own challenges and problems, but a healthy relationship at the basis is often built on a foundation of trust, respect and two-way communication. Unhealthy relationships lack those key beliefs and may swap in dishonesty, contempt and suspicion. Experts call these hurtful behaviors red flags, which can lead to an unsustainable and unhealthy relationship. In this solo episode, we are discussing how red flags can range from differing opinions to anger issues that turn into safety concerns. What does that term red flag mean exactly? Are all red flags the same for everyone? Is there every a reason to walk away, or does it ever make sense to address the red flag and mend the relationship? What is the term yellow flag and how does it differs from red flags? Some warning signs may be obvious from the get-go, while others may be trickier to detect. We are only listing 12 red flags in this episode, but there are many more that could have been discussed.
