Family is great and so is having a life-long romantic partner, but friends do so much of the heavy lifting throughout our lives so who we choose to remain close with means A LOT. That said, people are complex by nature and evolve overtime, so friendships that ebb and flow are just a part of life. I met Stephanie Geddie my freshman year of college at the University of Kansas, and we've been friends ever since. Geddie is our smartest friend (we've discussed this—I'm not offending anyone by stating this fact) who decided to do a 180º with her career, going from marketing to the healthcare field as an ER nurse. In this episode, Geddie shares how she realized she was in the wrong field in her late 20s, and how she pressed the reset button to get to where she is today. "Intentions mean nothing without action." OMG hi. It's been so long—a month, to be exact. Since we last spoke, I've gotten married, went on an epic honeymoon, and changed my last name on all social media platforms (haven't gotten around to the real deal just yet). For the past week, Emma has been in Chicago helping her sister recover from breast reduction surgery as well as nanny her niece and nephew.
