Texas-born pop phenomenon Jenna Raine releases her major-label debut EP, see you later, via Warner Records. The three-song set contains her breakthrough “see you later (ten years),” which has amassed more than 36 million global streams since its release in 2021. Upon release, the single quickly shot to #1 on Spotify's Global and US Viral Charts and earned early radio support, debuting on Billboard's Adult Top 40 Chart. The EP also includes a new version of that romantic ballad featuring JVKE and the equally emotional, introspective, “2%” — a song fans have been aching for since the 17-year-old artist first teased it to her 1.5 million followers and counting on TikTok.All three songs on the EP are deeply personal and intimately relatable. “see you later (ten years)” captures the anguish of dating the right person at the wrong time. “It's heartbreaking when the timing is all wrong,” says the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. “But now I'm dating the person that used to be my Right Person, Wrong Time.” That happy ending inspired the song. She always envisioned a feature on it and found the right collaborator in viral hit singer-songwriter and GRAMMY® nominated producer JVKE – best known for his breakout hit “this is what falling in love feels like,” JVKE has over 5.4M monthly listeners on Spotify and amassed over 300 million global streams.Raine has been working toward this moment since she entered a talent show at 8 years old. A four-year stint in a girl group called L2M followed as well as multiple world tours and two self-released solo EPs. She even found the time to act in Hulu's California Dreaming which premiered on Nickelodeon in December 2021. The problem of ticketing and celebrating with songwriter/artist Mindy Smith (@mindysmithmusic) and Stephen Glicken, CEO of Project Admission. Armed with IMDB credits, running a record label, and working from the ground floor of CrowdSurge and Songkick. Stephen's latest venture is building an improved experience for the buying, selling, and distribution of digital tickets to increase data and revenue. Then Mindy Smith and I sat down not long after the re-release of her record One Moment More on vinyl and the release of Kenny Chesney's, "Better Boat". Mindy Smith, artist and songwriter, is celebrating 15 years of her first record, One Moment More. You've heard Mindy's songs recorded or heard her voice with Kenny Chesney, Dolly Parton, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Olivia Newton John, John Prine and more. Originally from New York, Mindy made her way to Tennessee after her foster mother passed from breast cancer where she had her first taste of bluegrass music. Soon she started writing her original music and made her way to Nashville, TN where she was quickly discovered. A cover song by a legendary artist perked the ears of a producer which eventually led to her debut record, One Moment More. "Come to Jesus" was her biggest commercial hit, receiving airplay on country, adult album alternative and adult contemporary radio. The song charted at No. 32 on the Adult Top 40 chart of Billboard Magazine. In 2004, Smith appeared at the Cambridge Folk Festival in the U.K., which was broadcast nationally on BBC Radio. That same year, Smith was nominated for and won The Americana Music Association’s prestigious, Best Emerging Artist of the Year award. One Moment More is now available and can be bought from and she's hitting the road. Stephen Glicken's career starts in 2000 as an audio engineer in Miami, working with artists such as P. Diddy, Toni Braxton, Nas, Whitney Houston, No Doubt, and more. After Circle House, he connected with the Wu Tang Clan, becoming Ghostface Killah’s exclusive engineer on ‘The Pretty Toney Album’ and ‘Fishscale’. In 2004, Glicken moved to Puerto Rico to produce a couple of records and ended up living there for almost 3 years and being a part of the crew that brought Reggaeton music to the mainstream. These days, Stephen and Project Admission creates a more connected experience for the management, distribution, and exchange of event tickets. With a focus on user experience, the company’s custom technology tracks the chain of ownership for every ticket through its lifecycle, from purchase to event. Project Admission also knows that behind every ticket, there is a fan – someone who deserves to be protected from fraud and guaranteed the legitimacy of a ticket. By tracking the ticket, not only does Project Admission help fans, but it also helps venues and artists by providing valuable data for security and marketing purposes. After a stunning first half, with an explosion of great pop and great alternative, the Adult Top 40 chart from 21 years ago gets even better this week, if you can even believe that. Nearly every one of these songs were memorable, huge hits of 1997. There are some eternally fresh sounding pop-rock bands like the Wallflowers, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel, and Tonic. You'll also get your fix of great, female singer songwriters! Meredith Brooks, Paula Cole, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin, and Sarah McLachlan each make at least one appearance. Crack open a cold one (club soda, of course) and listen to some Adult Top 40 from September 6, 1997! It was a crazy-diverse week on this chart, and there's a lot to unpack, even though we're only going through the top half this week. From the record-setting longevity of LeAnn Rimes, to a pre-problematic R. Kelly slow jam for the ages, to the resurgence of major boy bands and girl bands, 1997 was a wild ride. We also have our fair share of rock and alternative groups, with further hits from Better Than Ezra and Live, and the ska punk of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Coincidentally, in this episode, Mike and Adam each hear what was their favorite song, back at the time that those songs were getting the airplay that landed them on this chart. Mississippi native Trent Dabbs relocated to Nashville in the early 2000s, where he’s carved out a niche on the local indie rock and Americana scene. Over the last twelve years, he’s released ten solo albums, a collaborative EP with edgy country sensation Ashley Monroe, and two retro R&B inspired projects with fellow singer/songwriter Amy Stroup under the name Sugar + The Hi-Lows. Earning significant critical acclaim, All Music predicted that Sugar + The Hi-Lows “just might be the next breakout band to capture the nation’s imagination.” Dabbs is a co-founder of the Ten out of Tenn artist collective, and has collaborated with high-profile songwriters, including Lori McKenna, Gabe Dixon, Joy Williams of the Civil Wars, and Kacey Musgraves, with whom he penned the Top 40 country single “Undermine” from the hit TV show Nashville. Other songs from the Trent Dabbs catalog that have appeared on the series include “World on Time,” “I’m Coming Over,” “Shine,” and “Don’t Put Dirt on My Grave Just Yet,” which became a Top 40 hit for series regular Hayden Panettiere in 2014. Many of the songs from Dabbs’ solo projects have landed on high profile TV shows such as The O.C., The Hills, Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, So You Think You Can Dance, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Hawaii-Five-O, NCIS, and others. Dabbs contributed six songs to Ingrid Michaelson’s 2014 album Lights Out, including “Girls Chase Boys,” a Top 10 single on both Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs and Adult Top 40 chart. His latest album as a solo artist is called The Optimist.
