In this episode of Kingdom Crossroads, TS Wright welcomes Christian author, speaker, blogger, and devotional writer Maureen Miller for a heartfelt conversation about faith, writing, encouragement, and seeing God's extraordinary character in the ordinary places of life.Maureen shares how being raised in a Christian home shaped her early faith, while also speaking honestly about seasons of struggle, repentance, and learning to walk in the freedom Christ gives. She discusses her debut novel, Gideon's Book, a time-slip Christian fiction story that honors the work of Gideons International while exploring themes of calling, adoption, the sanctity of human life, racial bias, and biblical morality through storytelling. The conversation also highlights Maureen's devotional writing, including her contributions to All God's Creatures, a Guideposts devotional for animal lovers. Maureen closes by sharing a touching devotional about a rescued baby chipmunk and the reminder that God is our refuge, safety, and source of comfort in difficult seasons. This episode is a powerful encouragement for anyone who feels like they are on the outside looking in, wrestling with confusion, or needing a fresh reminder that Jesus calls us into freedom, purpose, and abundant life.In This EpisodeTS Wright and Maureen Miller discuss:Maureen's Christian upbringing and spiritual journeyHow God plants His desires in our heartsRepentance, freedom, and walking away from sinMaureen's ministry, Windows and WallflowersHer debut novel, Gideon's BookChristian fiction as a way to communicate biblical worldviewThe sanctity of life, adoption, and birth mothersWriting devotionals through creation and everyday storiesEncouragement for those living in confusion or spiritual wearinessKeeping your eyes on Jesus in the stormFeatured GuestMaureen Miller is a Christian author, speaker, blogger, and devotional writer. "Maybe It's Just Me" The indie rock outfit Lost Leaders were formed in 2011 by pals Byron Isaacs and Peter Cole. Isaacs' resume was already pretty full at the time, thanks to his work as the bassist for the Lumineers and playing with the Levon Helm Band and Ollabelle. If that doesn't sound busy enough, Isaacs has also recorded and performed with Bruce Springsteen, Roseanne Cash, Jackson Browne, Amy Helm, and Joan Baez. As for singer/guitarist Cole, his CV was pretty full as well, thanks to his tenure in Lava Baby, long-serving the New York jazz scene and working as a professional audio engineer. Cole and Isaacs have been pals since the late '90s, playing in bands like Slink and Lowdowners in Stereom, but Lost Leaders is where the two musicians really hit their artistic stride. With a handful of winning albums under their belts like Hungry Ghosts, Promises Promises and their self-titled debut album, Lost Leaders' work is redolent with harmonic dexterity, melodic muscle and rootsy bliss. Their latest effort is producing the full soundtrack and composing the original score for the indie film RUN, which stars Sarah Levy, Adam Palley and Chris Redd. By the way, the soundtrack features Amy Helm and Samantha Fish and it's just wonderful Lost Leaders are about to hit the road opening for The Wallflowers, but before they do, they had a chat with us. The Rizzuto Show accidentally turns into a full-blown 90s alternative rock therapy session this episode — and honestly, we're not qualified for that kind of emotional labor. Jimmy Griffin joins the crew ahead of Hard Promises taking over The Pageant, and things immediately derail into a passionate debate over which songs got CRANKED in your Geo Metro and which songs made you consider driving directly into the nearest retaining wall. Totally normal behavior for a daily comedy show. The gang breaks down the magic of The Pageant in St. Louis, why certain venues just hit different, and how every local musician basically treats that stage like sacred ground. Jimmy, Moon, and the crew talk touring memories, legendary staff, and why The Pageant remains one of the best venues in the country. Meanwhile, Rafe contributes important scientific analysis like “this song belongs in the organic peanut butter aisle at Schnucks.”Then comes the glorious avalanche of 90s nostalgia. Bush. Silverchair. Local H. Soul Asylum. Fastball. Collective Soul. Gin Blossoms. Primitive Radio Gods. The Wallflowers. Deep Blue Something. Dishwalla. Basically every song that ever played while your parents fought in the front seat of a Dodge Neon. The crew debates which songs were instant “turn-it-up” classics and which ones deserved immediate radio execution. Lern reveals her absolute hatred for “Runaway Train,” Moon passionately defends Silverchair with the energy of a man protecting sacred scripture, and Jimmy Griffin admits he thought Silverchair was just “baby Nirvana.” Somewhere during all this, Rizz realizes half these bands were apparently “for the girls,” which honestly explains a lot.Jimmy also talks about performing Tom Petty songs with Hard Promises, including why Petty's catalog is basically impossible to screw up because the songs are deceptively simple and annoyingly perfect. The crew gets into favorite deep cuts, beginner guitar memories, and the undeniable brilliance of “Last Dance with Mary Jane.” Jimmy then performs an acoustic version live in studio that immediately makes everyone forget they spent the previous hour roasting Primitive Radio Gods. But the true MVP moment of this entire episode? Jimmy's AutoZone story. A random guy confidently tells him he looks like “Earl Smith” — apparently the legendary frontman of Aerosmith now has the name of a retired high school baseball coach from Festus. Congratulations to the world on accidentally creating the greatest fake musician name in history. This episode has everything:90s alt-rock chaosTom Petty appreciationaggressive music opinionsweirdly emotional radio nostalgiaGeo Metro memoriesgrocery store soundtrack analysisand a new tribute band idea called EARL SMITHJust another completely reasonable daily comedy experience from The Rizzuto Show. Because if we're not yelling about Fastball in 2026, what are we even doing anymore? And yes… somebody definitely threatened to drive off a bridge because of Primitive Radio Gods.A completely stable and emotionally healthy daily comedy show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

If Halt and Catch Fire was AMC's first lesson in tech, The Audacity is what happens when that world metastasizes — a look at how money, power, and ego rot the core of 2026 Silicon Valley. Billy Magnussen stars as Duncan Park, a data-mining mogul doing a tightrope walk over a cliff, dragged down by his own hubris. On the pod, we break down the sprawling ensemble (Sarah Goldberg, Meaghan Rath, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg…), touch on plot points including blackmail, NDAs, insider trading, and Wallflowers stuck in basements... Finally, we conclude whether the show has potential or if it is just a cheap Black Mirror rip off. Tune in, and Welcome to Todays Episode!
You'll never guess which one of us is eating more tinned fish?!?!? We talk cowboy movies, but we can hardly hear what we are saying due to all the licorice (not really) behind me. We cover the best MN albums, splitting food, and of course we check out strip club reviews. Then we talk about the worst the Velvet Underground album we have heard yet so we cleanse the palate with Bringing Down the Horse and it fucking rips. Great job Wallflowers. Next week, Entertainment! by Gang of Four. It's fun!

Yes, January 1, 2026, marks the official start of Derringer Discoveries' 6th year as a music adventure podcast! The Three Dylans: Discovering the Talent of Peter Himmelman In the music world, the name Dylan usually points to the legendary Bob Dylan. For others, it might evoke Bob's son Jakob, the successful leader of The Wallflowers, which is essentially Jakob's alter ego. However, there is a third artist in the family circle who deserves your attention. Peter Himmelman, Bob Dylan's son-in-law, is a singer-songwriter and performer whose talent rivals the family icons. With a voice and delivery that are exceptionally easy on the ears, he is the artist you have likely been missing. THE SETTING In this episode, Team Derringer (Laura, Alton, and Paul) will introduce you to The Unknown Dylan. To help with this daunting task, the team drafted long-time listener -- and newly minted "Honorary Derringer" -- Rob Paine, from Northern Virginia. Rob drove to Charlottesville, the corporate headquarters for Derringer Discoveries, to join Laura, Alton, and Paul in person and to save the day when Peter Himmelman was unable to join Team Derringer. While in town, Rob and Team Derringer soaked up some local music history at Miller's on the Downtown Mall -- where the world-famous band leader, Dave Matthews, previously worked as a bartender. The night continued at Coran Capshaw's The Southern Café & Music Hall, where they caught an incredible live set by UK up-and-comers, The Heavy Heavy, with Nashville-based opener Laney Jones and the Spirits. You might be interested to know that Rob is the fan who originally suggested this deep dive into Peter Himmelman's work, and his insights provide the backbone for this episode. (Do you have an idea for an episode? Let us know!) THE HIGHLIGHTS The Family Tree: Rob explains how Peter became Bob Dylan's son-in-law. (Team Derringer featured Bob Dylan in Episode 80.) The discussion further expands to Peter's brother-in-law Jakob Dylan, leader of The Wallflowers. The Scale: Team Derringer requests for Rob to rank the Dylans -- Bob, Jakob, and Peter (Dylan in-law) on a one to 10 scale. Listen in to hear how Peter stacks up against the competition. Interstellar Recommendations: Rob also tackles a bizarre question from Paul in this episode. If a life form from another planet approached him to learn about the Dylans, what would he do? Discover Rob's reaction and the specific songs he would play for an alien audience. Once you hear his recommendations, tell Derringer Discoveries if you would choose the same ones. The Supergroup: The team dives into Bob's time with the Traveling Wilburys and their lasting musical impact. WHY PETER HIMMELMAN? Team Derringer acknowledges that Peter's last name is not Dylan, but his artistic pedigree and connection to the family make him a vital part of the story. By the end of this episode, we believe you will embrace his music with the same enthusiasm as our guest co-host, Rob Paine. Jim Keller started in the music industry as part of Tommy Tutone, writing the hit '867-5309/Jenny', then the bands career sank and he left performing, landing as an assistant and then manager for Phillip Glass, Nico Muhly, Ravi Shankar, and others, before 'retiring' and returning to making music by hosting jam sessions with members of The Black Crowes, Levon Helm's band, The Beach Boys, The Wallflowers, The Lumineers, and more. This week, it's just "boys talking" (or lads conversing, if you will), as we welcome the sublime singer-songwriter Will Dailey as our Third Lad. Will has spent the past two decades perfecting a style that is not beholden to any one particular genre or set of influences, incorporating rock, folk, psych, funk, blues, and melodic pop into a catalogue where the songs always speak for themselves. Over the years, he's performed extensively with Eddie Vedder, played alongside Peter Buck, opened for the Wallflowers, performed multiple times at Farm Aid, and has had many songs placed in TV shows from 90210 to CSI and movies like the animated hit Barnyard. Now, Will has released his killer seventh record, and arguably his best yet, Boys Talking. But you won't find this gem on Spotify or Apple Music...this is not an album to simply stream and forget. Savor it on vinyl, CD, cassette, or digital through https://willdailey.bandcamp.com. We ask Will about the new record, from the single "Send Some Energy" to the infectious romp should-be-smash "Alright Already." You won't hear the latter on streaming services...but you will hear it here on O3L! Of course, we also delve into our focus topic this week, our Top 5 Singer-Songwriter Albums of the '80s. While "singer-songwriter" may instantly conjure up visions of troubadours with acoustic guitars like James Taylor, Jackson Browne, or Cat Stevens, we redefine the term for the high-tech '80s. Special thanks to Karen Allison from Propeller Sound Recordings for the introduction. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Jon Caspi and the First Gun have been gracing the Asbury Park (and local area) with their homegrown rock and roll. The band, made of the nicest fellows, came into the Asbury Park Vibes studio for an intimate three-song set. They also stuck around to chat about their new EP, AIRPORT PLAZA.Caspi has been a longstanding figure in the NJ indie, singer/songwriter, alternative, and punk scenes. In the late 80s, he fronted the new wave band Bouncing Off Bob, which charted on the national college radio CMJ Top 100. He started as a solo artist in the early 2000s with the release of three albums, which received national radio play, and one was converted into a musical theater production with sold-out shows. His song This Town, about the town of Keyport, NJ, became a town “hit,” resulting in the local diner naming a sandwich after him, called “The Caspi Special.”A compelling live artist and storyteller, Caspi, performs both with band and solo acoustic and has shared the stage with acts such as Bruce Springsteen, The Psychedelic Furs, The Gaslight Anthem, Glenn Tillbrook (Squeeze), The Smithereens, ~X~, Dramarama, Willie Nile, Jeffrey Gaines, Jesse Malin, The Dickies, Adolescents, The Wallflowers, The Alarm, & many more. Please join Jon Caspi (vocals), Doug Lane (bass), Jimmie Mizell (drums), Pete Jager (guitar), and Bob Bailey-Lemansky (keys) as they talk about their new music and what it is like to be a band of such close friends.JCatFG FacebookJCatFG Insta Asbury Park Vibes Podcast Available on Spotify, Apple, Google, iHeart, Audible, and PandoraHosted by Diane DiMemmo & Doug DresherCopyright 2020-2025 Asbury Park Vibes. "Boys Talking" Yes, it's true that Will Dailey's seventh album, Boys Talking is not technically out. I mean, it is and it isn't. Hold that thought because we're going to circle back to it. The Boston-born Will Dailey is one of the most affecting, soulful and moving singers you'll ever hear. His back catalog, which features records like Goodbye Red Bullet, National Throat, Golden Walker and his new one Boys Talking, is a perfect discography that filled with rootsy soul, road-kissed Americana and wrenching ballads that make you miss everyone you ever lost. Will's resume' is a winning read: he's signed to a major label, played with Juliana Hatfield, Peter Buck and Eddie Vedder, opened for The Wallflowers, received endless critical acclaim and played the Folk, Americana, and Roots Hall of Fame induction ceremony, paying tribute to the late Richie Havens. Will Dailey is the real deal--a singer with tremendous range and poetic prowess and if you want to classify him as one of the best kept secrets in music, that's fine, but he's one secret that shouldn't be kept. So what's the story with Boys Talking? Is it out? Yes and no. You can't find it on any streaming service, but you can buy it from Will at his website. And as he innovates further against the current digital model, another move he's made is to record a song that only you will hear--give him ten bucks and you get a song you can only listen to once. Art is valuable and Will Dailey's creativity in how to distribute art is reminding us of its joy, its dynamism and that it's not something to be thrown around or thrown away. www.willdailey.com www.bombshellradio.com (http://www.bombshellradio.com) www.stereoembersmagazine.com www.alexgreenbooks.com (http://www.alexgreenbooks.com) Stereo Embers The Podcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com (mailto:editor@stereoembersmagazine.com) IG + BLUESKY: @emberspodcast

Shlomo Franklin is an American singer/songwriter born on a small cow farm in upstate New York. Raised off the cultural grid, without music, television, or radio, his songs are strongly influenced by his cult-like religious upbringing. Shlomo released his debut album in 2019 which was produced by Grammy Award winner C Lanzbom and was followed by a double album from his now Nashville, TN home. Franklin has opened up for Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers and shared festivals with The Nude Party and The Bones of JR Jones. His songs seem just as comfortable in front of a crowd of two thousand as they are in a living room house concert. Shlomo sees himself as a bare bones troubadour and is stubbornly trendless.

This week's guest is Fred Eltringham! If you listened to our recent episode with Sterling Laws, you heard Fred get a lot of love as one of Sterling's five picks—so it was an honor to finally have him on the show himself. And I gotta say…his voice is so soothing and calm. Puts mine to shame. Fred has been playing with Sheryl Crow since 2012, but his résumé also includes The Wallflowers, The Chicks, kd lang, Willie Nelson, Gigolo Aunts, Juliana Hatfield, Ben Kweller, and plenty more. He's a steady, calm ship at sea behind the kit, and it seems like songwriters line up around the block to work with him. In addition to his international touring with Sheryl, you can catch him on Instagram whenever he's doing something cool in Nashville—especially with Jules Belmont, as part of their tasty little instrumental group. So, please enjoy my chat with Fred Eltringham about the five records that shaped him into the musician he is today. Cheers! --- Get Your Copy of the Drummers on Drumming Book Today!
